it is a mobile station.. capable of defending itself. when you spend 160bil on a ship i think you should rightly be able to decide when to fight and when not to fight.
There is slight problem. Stations dont jump on me in every system in 0.0 to kill my SOLO cruiser. Stations do not instakill EVERYONE on grid.
Atm titans arent used to kill BLOBS - they are most often used to kill small gangs or even solo pilots - which surely is not anti-blob warfare.
Also what you mean by "get into fight with titan"? Get GANKED by titan? Or kill one in safespot logged off? Those are all titan fights we had till now.
And AGAIN: ISKs are NOT how you value ships. If they were then i DEMAND my 200mil sabre kills EVERY ship under 100mil value. Instapop please to make it easier. Its still price of 400 t1 equipped ships.

No - i WANT to have DECENT combat again. And also to have small gang warfare back in game. Not the game "who has more dreads/carriers wins".
Easy fixes are removal of DD or change of it. Make it cost 200+ mil per shot, no more wasting em on inty gangs. Or maybe one shot per day - so you wont use em to kill macroNPCer with cruiser bait ahead because you dunno if it wont be needed later on.
Atm RETARD can use titan Doomsday - it has nothing to do with tactics or thinking. Get bait, cyno in, blast. Win. With reduced cooldown - youd have THINK before you use it.
And i dont care abt "ultimate investment" when it can "ultimately break your gameplay". Atm thats all what it does. Fleetbattles - maybe boring to some were much more interesting than "fleet lets sit in POS coz they have titan".
And dont start the "it took long to build em". Was long because corps/alliances had to amass BPOs/capital components. It was EXACTLY the same with command ships - you havent seen many of em because ppl didnt have skills. But remember that people who get titan and use it dont lose that ability. So "endgame" ppl do amass and endgame ships still come but rarely leave EVE. 1 titan - was nice to see it etc. 2 titans in same alliance - gets decent. Wait till they have 5-10 e-peen enlargers. And many more are in production now. Wonder where will be YOUR place in game when you cant pilot capital ship, especially in 0.0 warfare.

the titan's range is 250 km, not the entire grid. It is so extremely useful and can instill terror into the enemy and cause them to flee without even moving. I've been on both side's of the titan extensively and it seem's fine to me, take's an alliance wide effort to construct one, huge investment in mod's and skill's and time, but you want to be able to easily kill it.
How about making a huge effort with equiptment and asset's, not just t1 trash. The dd can be tanked or avoided, unless your outsmarted (wave's to orange ^^) . The only thing that could be changed imo is to not fire through the cyno, or half it's damage through the cyno or something

No sorry, wanting to get easy kills by killing logged off pilots is your specialisation.
I want to have decent PvP in 0.0 that doesnt involve using tons of capitals just to be able to play. Atm anytime you try to move with small gang into 0.0 you get blobbed by capitals - and lately supercapitals.

I thought the intention was for titans to be logistic ships. They can move entire fleets, give a very nice bonus to gang, etc, but don't have to enage in order to kill an entire fleet with one crappy frigate. If the intention is for it to be a combat ship make the damn thing get into the fight!

The best way to sort the whole Capital and Supercapital mess out is this.
1) Separate propulsion jamming from Electronic Warfare.
2) Make all capital ships immune to EW but not Propulsion jamming.
3) Give Capital ships built in warp core strengths, say 5 for Carrier, 10 for Dread, 20 for Mothership and 40-50 for Titan.
4) Add a capital class scrambler if you so wish, not so much range but high scramble strength. Note that I'm not sure this is necessary.
Voila! Carriers and Dreadnaughts no longer get shafted by 2-3 midslots, Motherships and Titans keep their immunity to EW and are still harder to hold down but not impossible.
