CCP Guard (that's me btw) has some information for you regarding the Neural Remap gift choice on the Account Management page.
We pulled it from the list yesterday, then did some stuff to make it work better for you guys, and now it's going in again.

Nice work on this. I don't need the remap but it is nice to see you trying to make the gift as useful to all as possible. Thanks for the thought and effort...plus listening to the feedback. I may not like you or your point of view but you have a right to voice it. |

Do the bonus remaps ever expire?
If another bonus remap becomes available next Xmas, and I still haven't used mine from this year, can I have 2 of them at the same time? (I anticipate only needing one remap in the next year.)
When I have both a bonus and a regular remap, I assume I'll be able to choose which to use, and whether or not I want to reset my timer. Is that correct?
If I have a character with 2 regular remaps, and acquire a bonus remap, is it possible to choose to use a regular remap and reset my timer immediately? Or would I have to use the second regular remap before the timer is reset? Obviously there are some situations in which it would be advantageous to reset the timer early. But it might be a simpler implementation to convert extra regular remaps into bonus remaps so that each character can have a maximum of one regular remap at a time. |

So now we will have two kinds of remaps instead of one? Maybe it's just me but it sounds as if it's gonna be another confusing thing people are going to have to explain to new players.
Why not turn remaps into token items that can be traded on the market, just like plex? |

agree 100%. also make skill point remaps available, and tradable.
ex; new player starts out as miner. player then gets taste for pvp, player has 5,000,000 SP in industry tree, would better suit them to have it in gunnery sp.
i know you can pass out sp, its done on sisi, so let players remap sp with a card,token etc, annually as well:-) |

To clarify, the option to choose these bonus remaps, will be available to choose from, from 1600 GMT or server time. The gift of remapping will only be available to redeem on the 22nd of December. |

First off: Very very very cool!
Secondly: Questions arise...
At the moment I have 1 bonus remap (from last year's remap fest...yes, I do long time planning ;-) and my cooldown timer will reset at the 10th of january 2012 ('cause that was when I last used a remap).
On the 11th of jan will I then have 1 regular remap and 2 bonus remaps? (if I pick the remap gift choice and don't spend any before that date)
If yes, what will it look like if I spend 1 remap? (i.e. can I choose to spend either a bonus or a regular remap, will I automatically spend a bonus remap or will I automatically spend a regular remap)

Bonus remaps never expire. After the code update, there will be two ways to remap:

If your timer is ticking, then the system requires you to use a bonus remap in order to remap your attributes. If you do not have any, you have to wait.
If you elect to use a bonus remap, your timer will not be affected.
Let's say that you have no bonus remaps at all - you've used up your newbie bonus remaps and haven't received any since. If you remapped normally on the 1st of December, 2011, you will then have to wait until the 1st of December, 2012 in order to remap again normally.
If you take the neural remapping Christmas gift, then you can use that bonus remap to remap at any time between when you receive the gift and the 1st of December, 2012. If you do so, then you will still be able to remap your attributes normally on the 1st of December, 2012. If you decide to wait until past the 1st of December, 2012 - let's say to the 2nd of December, 2012, then you will remap normally and not use your bonus remap. |

I choose my gift in the time the remap was removed. So i dont chose the remap. I dont even know that a remap was avarible before.
Atm I cant change the gift. I Hope the selection will be resetted, so its not so unfair if you pick your gift in the wrong time  |
