Ok so im mind-nubbingly scanning this cosmos system for contacts and all od a sudden a ship contact named Polaris <smthicantremeber> Frigate (this was under item type) named Sheep in Wolfs Clothes pops up on my scan results. And the contact is like 2 au from a planet that has nothing in that direction. So im like WTF is this. I info the item and its a Polaris (whatever that is) frigate with skill requierment Polaris lvl 3, like 10k structure and all armor resistances at 95.5%. Ok so i deploy the Sift probes and after that the contact just disapeard from both system scanner and probe scanner...
sooo....

It's a CCP/ISD ship, pretty sure there's now been more posts about this ship than Salvador Sarpati.

Nae, damm devs get the coolest ship.. i remember when I went to Kisogo to buy skills.. I was bartering with one for his polaris frig. Personally I think the Ibis for the polaris was a good deal.
A lil note about the polaris, they have jump drives that dont require cyno's

Well if it's a CCP observation frigate how about flying the damn thing around to look at the Macro Miners.... I'm sure we could provide a looooong list of places you could observe....

I don't think they will reveal where they are like that when they are 'watching' macrominers.. I mean.. bit obvious for the macrominers to see when they are watched innit?

Back when the first Titan was launched, a polaris frig came to see it. It died horribly to the POS guns. Thats the only time I am aware of a Polaris frig meeting its death.

A POS can actually deal enough damage to kill a ship with 5200 hp/sec regen with 99.9% resistances? That's, uh... 521000 raw damage per sec if I'm not mistaken. About 868000 with skills.

There are actually three types of Polaris Frigate: the Polaris Inspector (standard ISD), the Polaris Centurion (ISD team leads) and the Polaris Legatus (ISD Vice Admirals and above). They have differing skins and stats.

Actually Eris first came in an Enigma (another dev ship but without uber stats) which was blown up. They then came back in a polaris frigate which survived, so to-dtae none have been killed IIRC, although according to certain rumours Istvaan Shogastu now owns one

YOu can lock em.
I had a GM come to remove cans while we had a fleet of ships shooting at em (was like, 20 GSC's or so)
After he commanded the cans to vaporize, we locked him and asked if we chould shoot. He said sure, so around 12 alpha-strike tempests opened up... and his shield bar didn't move o0'

Actually i believe this one's stats in there are wrong. Last time i saw that one it hurled a ball of 8 Mjolnirs at me >.<
edit: i have also a screenshot of Oveur in his polaris :D
