Itching to move into our wormhole now, but will miss lowsec if I do.

Interesting...on a related note, do you tend to have only one base of operations or have tons of ships and equip spread over several systems or regions that you use often?

1/2. I've never moved. I've been in my current location since a few weeks after I first started playing. That was almost two years ago.
3. The group I play with has been in that location since, I think, late '07 or early '08 - so, about eight years. We have seen many different organizations come and go in that time.
4. Individually, some of us have ships stashed all over the place.

Been living in a C4 Wormhole system since around June, so about 7 months, with no plans of moving any time soon. Before that I lived in in a C3 for about a month or so.
When I lived in k-space I mostly just moved if I joined a new corp, which didn't happen often. |

Moving often, was doing it even more in the past doing incursions, two base of operations for a while now recently established 3rd small one deep in minmatar high sec until job there is done.
At the beginning i moved fleet of ships now i tend to clone jump more often in between two main bases i still like to pack up orca with ships and take off but that's for short term business(like minmatar deep sec one).

I live in Hek and the surrounding systems. I have ships, mods and other junk in stations all over that area, and dock/undock bookmarks for the majority of stations too. I can call pretty much any station in that area "home" and I rarely need to move anything because my playstyle doesn't demand that I keep vast amounts of stuff in one place.

My *cough* industrial alts are based out of just a few systems, with all assets and activities more or less taking place there. The locations were carefully planned - have only had to move two times in six years, both times pretty much due to changes in game mechanics (and both moves were me ultimately taking advantage).
My non-industrial characters tend to have a wide range of roaming ground, but assets only at a few places. I just can't relax unless I can find everything...the idea of having piles of unsorted junk at dozens of stations...*shudders*... |

No way to move. 25 freighters of load on main station 200 ship stacks 150 fitted ships , at least half of it are battleships.
When we deploy i buy new ships, but at some point they are moved back o my main staging. If CCP remove NPC stations out of NPC null regions it is end of game for me.

Historically roughly every 1-2 years I guess, but when I was in null there were far more frequent monthly or so temporary moves. Home base only moved twice out there though. |

Several times involuuntarily. Lets see:
-I was in Altas when it died, so have to move from Omist (after losing Detorid and Insmorther to PL+Russians) to empire.
-I was in It when it died, had to move from Delve to empire
-I was in NCdot when Goons took Tribute and Vale.
-I was back in NCdot again when that alliance gave up SOV life.
I count it as for involuntary move. Voluntarily it's been like another 8 times, like when I moved from Syndicate to Omist to join atlas for example.

Twice since early 2007. Once to follow my then corp, because I didn't know any better, to the far reaches of Amarr space.
Then back to Gallente space as I tend to fly their ships most of the time and Dodixie is reasonably handy for the odd time I go shopping.
For no really sensible reason, Gallente space just feels 'right' to me.
This is not a signature.

Every time I joined a corp I had to move to follow the corp. I've also moved maybe once a year on my own just to see the different atmosphere of each region.
I'm liking stain so far, so I might actually settle down this time. It has a kinda homey feel.

Interesting...I've considered myself based out of the same system for years, but on the rare occasion I have joined a player corp, I send one ship to their home system (wherever that may be) to see how it goes.
I'm glad I have taken this approach as I usually leave after a couple of weeks due to inactivity within the corp itself. If I am going to run missions, rat and/or explore all alone (silent tear), then I would rather do it in systems where I am familiar with the players and the NPCs.

Well, I've been way too spread out and it has been hurting my gaming experience. No one knows me, I'm always more vulnerable because I'm always going to stations where I have no insta undocks. Moving through systems where I have no safe spots.
I keep on considering going back to providence, because I had a lot of fun there. But Providence is a defensive region. To fit in properly, I would need to let the other guy shoot first in most situations. I used to be totally cool with that, but now I'm fitting up bombers to go hunting with. I'm hoping to sneak up on people and blow them up, and that isn't proper Providence behavior.

A few times.
#1) From HS to null #2) Took a 3 month break from the game due to RL stuff, my corp changed alliances. Didn't bother to move, just left my stuff with a clone there and slowly sold it all #3) Took a break from the new null to try out WH space, ended up loving it and quitting my null corp. As before, too lazy to pack and move, so left a clone and slowly sold everything #4) Living semi-solo in a WH, was evicted. (no complaints, the folks at Isogen5 spent a long time explaining WH life to me after the POS went down. What I learned from them was by far more valuable than the stuff I lost) #5) Into a newer WH corp, didn't work out for a variety of reasons. #6) Into my current WH, very happy, no plans of moving again.
I still have stuff scattered around the universe. The six months or so I was screwing around trying to find the right fit in j-space meant a lot of my stuff just ended up in whatever HS was close. I haven't had the need to liquidate yet, but sooner or later I will need to do some hauling to consolidate it. |

I don't move. I distort the space fabric around me so that it moves instead of me. That being said, my toys are spread all over New Eden and Anoikis, so I sort of live in a lot of cozy places.

When I first started I had an idea of creating a base of operations in each of the major factions in Eve and exploring each of the regions. But when I started industry and PI I got tied down to a location which makes it hard to move.
So I used the extra character slots to create a two man team that can move around to different areas of high and low sec and explore into null and wh's while my main is stuck in his location.
Future plans are to do a stint in FW and operate a base in a low class WH.
