I'm puzzled as to why kernite is found only in lo-sec systems. It yields a lot of mexallon, but mexallon prices are so low, I'm not sure what the point of mining it is.
Far better to focus on omber, if one is going to take the risk of being in lo-sec.

Kernite's found in 0.5+ in amarrian space IIRC.

I know omber can sometimes be found in 0.5 space, but in Minmatar territory it's getting rare.
One wonders, then, what the point of 0.4 space really is. Better rats, yes, but if you just like to mine...

When i was based in Arant (galente space) the omber only lasted about 1 day.
Kernite is worth less, but there is more of it, so you dont need to log on right after DT to get some of it.

It's common ore in Gallente space.

Jaspet (in Gallente space). Lots Nocxium and some (very little) Zydrine.

And, at the moment, Kernite is worth more than Omber - let alone that Kernite sold wayyyy above 'normal' for the +4 Implant Storyline missions

Mexallon is almost 3x what it cost a year ago :\ And Kernite is found in high sec as above ;)
What really should be asked, is why the hell Spodumain is so worthless, being worth less than high sec ores and only being found in 0.0 :\

Um scordite is worth more than omber and only a tiny little bit less than kernite, because of the crazy price of pyerite. If your mining in high sec, it's a no brainer :). A little off topic but hey, we're only young once.

mexallon and pyerite prices are doing well so mining plagioclase is great. Each day I sell forward a portion of whichever metal has the best price momentum. And there are still good deals buying mexallon if you search around.
