I wish I was awake enough to write up a proper battle report. Hopefully some pictures and a few words will do.
H-W9TY tonight was the site of an epic battle between MC and MM. We had reports of a big camp complete with a large bubble. There were ninety enemy targets in local. Sounded like a nice test for the motherships!
We jumped in our small support gang, set off a cyno and jumped in. We jumped in with two Motherships (Nyx & Aeon) and four carriers. We had roughly eighteen support, most of which ended up getting splattered in the opening 3-4 minutes. The battle report on our killboard indicates 74 enemy ships doing damage against 24 of us. Local spiked at near 140 by the time I cyno'd out.
Some pics from tonight (Note the number of enemy BS at long range):
Aeon & Nyx
Initial Jump In
Our support is slaughtered and things start to get... interesting!
Half the North starts to show up and one of our carriers is in trouble. MM has a carrier in our range now too.
Our carrier and the MM carrier die within a minute of each other.
My damage log shows that I first took damage at 22:13:25 and I warped out at 22:41:14.
For something that lasted so long, the end result was not a lot of overall kills on either side. We lost two carriers and MM lost one. We lost 90% of our support, destroyed five BS and roughly 20 support. The numbers don't really say a thing though about the actual fight. For nearly thirty minutes, there were battleships and support warping all over the place. Drones filled the air, capital ships exploding!
After our remaining two carriers jumped out, I was the last person to into warp. I lost track of the number of enemy fighters and drones my smartbombs killed. I was shot at, NosÆd, bumped and generally treated like the uninvited guest I was. Some crazy bastard in his Vagabond damn near kept me from getting into warp by bumping me as every ship present rained hell down on me. The image of countless missiles and drones chasing after my Nyx is still burned into my mind asàfinally... I got into warp. My heart damn near exploded. It was awesome!
In retrospect, we made a couple mistakes that will not be repeated again. We didnÆt expect to ôwinö but we did get more than we expected. All in all, it was well worth the effort. Best damn fight IÆve been in for ages.
Our congratulations to Morsus Mihi for scoring the first two MC capital ships killed. Good fight, guys. This fight in the North so far has been the best contract for MC since Force of Evil. Those who remember that will understand what it means.
Side note - Before anyone asks about the MC Killboard, it's been hosted on the BDCI domain for the past couple months. Within 48 hours of starting this contract, the service shut down our domain due to excessive "http processes". Seems like everyone and their mother was hitting F5 on it constantly. Basically, we may need to find a dedicated server to put the KB on and that's being sorted now. At this time, the KB is not public so we can at least record our kills and losses. We'll have it back up ASAP.

LOL!! Yeah, I did get a bit nervous near the end when I was the ONLY ship left and half the North seemed to be shooting me. In retrospect, my tank was holding just fine and it would have taken quite a bit to chew through it all. Motherships are monsters. Now I know why the Establishment Nyx hasn't been killed yet. I wonder if they've ever jumped thier ship into something like this?
I will say this - officer smartbombs 4TW. Saved my ass for sure. Nothing says, "GET OFF ME!!" like almost a thousand points of damage every 5-10 seconds. -

Yeah it was an amazing fight. I got a couple of kills then foolishly lost my ship by engaging a diemos then I ran back to the station to grab my inty and killed some TCF dude in a shuttle who just wondered in at a very bad time.
All in all I think it's safe to say that it's not BoB and allies vs. D2 and allies but it's actually BoB/MC and allies vs. D2/MM and allies. We all deserve a little recognition after proving what we are made of. There is a reason why we call ourselves RAWR. It's cause we do bite!!

though that fight looks very good, im going to bring up an off topic question. Do MC openly condone warp core stabs for PvP. I ask because over the last couple of days a few MC have got away from us with them including ishtars, BC's.
We just had a nice little engagement in Taisy, but again the same thing, we popped an ishtar which had stabs, and i should mention MC had a mothership, they were all combat fited and waiting for us. Also a scorpion warped off in structure with stabs, and then also a myrmidon.
I am not smacking, it is not my intent but is this a common tactic for MC, i do not know since ive not really fought them previous to this.

Is this a joke? I've just been through every single loss to you that we have on our killboard and not a single one involves stabs. We very rarely used stabs before the nerf, why would we start now?

If the ship is setup for scouting then fitting a few WCS seems to be a sensible move ... should we complain about every setup .... stabs have a major negative effect on your setup so complaining about them seems so "old hat"
Their again should maybe the opositions use of Nano's, Stablizers ..

Wow.
In a thread that is giving respect and praise to our opponents for a gf - you just have to waltz in with questions about stabs?
As CEO of ETNY let me make it CRYSTAL CLEAR for you so that there will be NO CONFUSION in future:
If members of ETNY choose to fit wcs on any ship then that is their choice.
Is that clear enough? Do you require any further clarification? Would you like us to mail you set ups for future reference?

I honestly don't give a damn what my pilots fit. Having said that...
Quote: We just had a nice little engagement in Taisy, but again the same thing, we popped an ishtar which had stabs, and i should mention MC had a mothership, they were all combat fited and waiting for us. Also a scorpion warped off in structure with stabs, and then also a myrmidon.
Yes, every ship you faced was wearing stabs, including the mothership.
Dude, I've lost track of the number of times that I KNEW I had a point of scramble on the guy and he warps away and the answer is not always that he had stabs. I find it highly doubtful, due to the penalties, that you're running into as man 'MC-stabbed' ships as you think. We have a similar thread on our forums ATM about how damn near every other ship we've run into lately seems to be going 10,000 m/second.
In answer to your original question though, we don't have a policy on it so I don't condone or really care what our pilots fit.
GF and I'm sure we'll dance again soon.
EDIT - It's called EVE Mail. Why come into this thread with this crap?

Yes, MC condones the use of any modules that can be acquired in game through legal means. I can inform you though, that Robet apparently didn't have stabs fitted, drifted out of range of my remote reps and still managed to warp. I'd look at your own tacklers before just sprouting random stuff. :)

You're not smacking you're just malinformed and your tacklers need to stay inside the range of their warp disruptors. ^^ -

Well you had a good fight it seems.
I am glad we had a good fight too.
It's a bit scary jumping in on a gang with a mothership on gate ready and waiting, my god it was fun though. Just hope we get a few more encounters like this.
Good fights all round are in order.

only kidding MC, I have never seen a WCS on any ship...but I killed someone elses Thorax yesterday...and it had 5 fitted...it was so funny. I thought we had seen the end of WCS abuse after Rev patch

I think many people think this but it hasn't been said... so im gonna say it!
The south is like American League Baseball with all the big hitters and home runs and players go to the team for the highest paying contract. (its a whole different brand of pvp down there, not as entertaining)
the north is like National League Baseball, aka smallball where every point was earned in basehits, bunts, and great diving plays, and the players are old town boys you've idol'd for years. (more entertaining to watch and much more emotional)
anyway, for those of you NOT thinking what the hell is this man smoking, you know what I mean and why so many northern residents are so damn fanatical.

From a layman's point of view it looks like to me that RAWR should really be thanking the MC Mothership for helping take out the 1st MC Carrier, if that mothership changes his 3rd ranked damage from the friendly Carrier to the next say 4 or 5 enemy battleships (assuming the other RAWR carrier was at a POS or something) the fight probably turns out completely different...
Looks to me like Mihi better be getting more prepared for the next engagement, as I doubt MC will continue to make silly mistakes like that... I would hope not anyway, stuff like that could really tarnish a professional PvP reputation

Nice! Hats off to you, Seleen & Co. Ballsy move but I'm glad to see the mothership's on the front line. They have so much potential and the fact that you only lost 1 carrier is testimony to that.
Congrats MM on drawing first blood on the MC capital fleet. That's a damn fine task.
Good luck to both sides! Class all around! (I'm going to assume the 2 pages I skipped were all clean and give you both the benefit of the doubt. :P) ----------

It took a while to sort out what happened. From looking at damage logs, it appears that one of the smartbombs on the Aeon smacked some the fighters from that MC carrier as the fighters were zooming by on the way to another target. This caused those fighters to get ****ed of at the Aeon. Then the Aeon's fighters were like, "Hey! Leave momma alone!" and went after the MC carrier.
You gotta freakin love the AI in those things, eh?

Big props to the MC, outnumbered you still came at us and swung those big brassy balls and hung in there for a good weight of time. For such an expensive pair of ships you kept those motherships in the fight for a long time. It was a fantastic fight, very little lag TBH, I honestly thought you guys were going to wait for backup before jumping in...but no..."SUPER BANZAI" and there you were! Unbelievable!
An amazing battle, shame it had to be against you MC people. You're awesome to fight but ultimately just there for the money which is a little sad from an adversary POV...I shudder to think how you guys would shape the map if you a purpose other than the mighty ISK.
Look forward to seeing you again, and thank you.
Zilla!

I was 10 minutes late.
Jumped into H-W in my poor ceptor and then realised that the fight is kinda over, and buggered out again.
Props to MM for bringing it, sounded like great fun on TS.

I dont want to hit nerves.
Then how about an eve mail or a convo next time instead?
okie dokie
Ceapio baby, wtf you doing with people like this? gimme a bell and I'll hook ya up
On topic, sounds like it was awesome fun guys, gutted I was working
If you are going to be a **** about such an innocuous question then I will tell you what he is doing there.
He is jumping into fights against the odds and kicking asses and taking names. (Like last night for example)
Next question.
Can't fathom the stupidness of some people.
If you ask Ceapio you'll find Kassad is his ex CEO and I think you will find was simply making a joke
So lets leave the who fits a stab or multiple nano/istabs to almost every ship at the door and keep this nice and friendly :)

Maybe it should be done in form of eve mail then?

I'd been down in X-70 most of the evening coaching DICE on how to find targets (hint: don't sit in an NPC station all night - nice guys though apart from the smack, and from the killboard looks like they figured it out eventually), and I was just pottering home in my covops when I jumped into H-W and... my screen froze. One of those horrible "uh-oh" moments, but then it finally unlocked and I was in the middle of utter and complete carnage, and inside a bubble to boot. Lag was pretty bad so I ran away and regrouped somewhere :P I think the fight was pretty much over by this point, but hey, big fight, in a cloaker with probes - pod-hunting time. Popped a snoop and started hassling MM pilots for a gang, and eventually got a lone Harpy to give me a hand. Only got one pod in the end (sorry, whoever that was, but seriously, don't log with aggro), but it was good to be involved, if only slightly :) GJ all round, and respect to MC for bringing the fight and being so up front about it all :)

well you can't scramble them, and most mothersip pilots fit officer smartbombs meaning that ships trying to bump them often get destroyed.

Sounds like a lot of fun.
Having said that MS really need a serious nerf, they are just ridiculously overpowered. The fact you have guys like EST using them to do lo sec ganks of BS as they cannot be effected by sentry guns or almost anything else is just a joke.
Sure make them tough but the fact they cannot be scrammed and are immune to all EW etc is going way too far.

Goddamiit I was sitting at the local pub watching the Premier Legue matches when this went down I think o0. Good thing you brought it up tho, fighting on empire side is.. random at best.. I was there in the Vourassi(0.5) engagement and I'm not joking when I say something like 4 of our battleships and unknown number of support got concordokken after the final engagement. Empire sux
Not to mention all the lag, and add it up with the lag concord created. Vour was unplayable, 1 frame every 30 secounds.
Nice report and respect for letting other people play with your toys as well.

Yes, they get bumped quite easily, especially by shuttles O_o.

Nahh...if you're fast, they won't be able to target you, and in low-sec, you can usually just dock or jump to the next system. And besides, it is "low" sec...
And I think all present at last night's battle will agree that while uber, they are not overpowered. Remember, to make them really good, like any other ship, you've got to pour ISK into getting officer mods, etc.

I think the MS's are perfect as is, when your investing as much time and effort into 1 ship as a MS takes, you wanna know it cant just be ganked. I guess in low sec only way to kill 1 would be to bump it constantly and nos it so fast and so hard its cap goes below required ammount for a jump.

to be fair. we only had three carriers and two moms in the fight. I think we may have had 4 ready to go, but our killboard only shows three involved.

Welcome to the North!
I believe the 'official tactic' for taking out jump-capable ships, is to Nos the crap out of them. They cannot jump with less than a certain cap, and they won't warp far with no cap. Bleed them dry and drop them.
I'm glad the lag seems to be sorting itself out though. I've not been on since Sunday and the lag was terrible then.

This might all seem academic, but with a large bubble on grid, I don't see how you could've killed that Nyx. ;)
You can only spam so many light drones until they all die from smart bombs and anything else won't do for bumping the mothership. The motherships were never in any major danger in that fight when they cleared the sphere of the large bubble.
Alynthir was tanking about 70 ships earlier that night solo with ease on one rep in e-o. :) -

And lastly, I'm seriously wtb a set of gotans web\scram for my Wyvern, did you buy the last ones selene?!
I had a seriously hard time acquiring a set for one of our motherships. Be ready to shell out heavily, but they are out there. They're just rare as hell. :) -

Nice going to all involved. It's one of those fights I wish I could have been in the area for and gate crashed Full props for MC for putting motherships where they belong, in your enemies faces.
Originally by: Seleene LOL!!
We've had 2 engagements against 30+ man fleets where our support had to just run and hide while the Nyx did its buisness. I don't think either of them were as tacticaly competant as the oponents you faced in this battle and our fights were up close brawls.
We tend to shy the Nyx away from a snipper group as all you do is burn fighters while your oposition leads your fighters away and usualy escapes the system.

I can back you up on that statement. It took me 8 months to find a 40 Km scram and I've not seen another since. Still looking for the 40km Web (settled for a 35km atm) Well worth the expense when you can find the buggers tho. They make your killing power that much more absolute.

Morsus Mihi had a lot of fun, i can imagine you thinking at one point during our battle "OMFG no way...no way..i have to get the hell out of here...." and that you was verry verry happy when you hit that warp button with success
Nice pics you posted, i do hope somebody was frapsing this, i think Morsus Mihi was close to be one of the first to actualy kill a MS. And i'm sure you would be glad us to be the first ones instead of somebody else killing your baby
Take care mate, untill the next encounter !

Good fight all, and I feel your sadness at missing most of the fight chicken. I was cloaked in my Manticore watching *you* the entire fight and providing intel on the incomming. I was hoping some of the smaller MC ships would pop back through injured and "vulnerable", but no such luck... 20 go in, none come out :( <snap>

props to Kuang & his tank, he took a really long time do die and i thought to myself "daaaaam this is some big HP boost CCP gave". Than we found out he was being remote repped by the other carriers..... and after that he couldn't tank it anymore. Than his friend Diy went down surprisingly fast.
To all of those that wonder if we could have had the Mothership the answer is ......... yea i think this could have been the first Mothership kill (i was kinda ****ed we didnt do it). MM made a few mistakes and cost us the kill, but we learn from our mistakes.
i joined exactly 1 minute before MC jumped to h-w. I heard about 20 of them were jumping into our camp of 60-70 on gate and i was like "WTF..... we had bigger fleets than that turn around with less numbers of us"........ and i look at the battlefield...." they only got like 6 Battleships......LMAO" and someone says on TS "they've cynoed in the motherships......" and things quickly changed, the 6 BS were carriers and 2 Motherships lol

Maybe, maybe not. The Northern allied strategists are happy for MM to control Tribute - which we all know is the keystone of the North. They are a great bunch of guys and can fight on every level from highly mobile ganking to massive coordinateed POS assault/defence.
Funny thing is, for all it was a terrific fight, this was still just a skirmish with limited strategic impact.

Sorry mate I have to call shenanigans on this one. MC are a very well respected alliance and they proved exactly why they are so in this fight. In no other way does this diminish groups like Outbreak who have waged a long gurilla war against Tribute. MC had the gonands and had the ships to take on a decent size MM gang and being up for a laugh they did, outbreak tend to use smaller ships and thats their chosen method of warfare, I think we should be the last alliance to complain about avoiding unfavourably balanced engagements. Outbreak and others have given us vital pew pew while we waiting for something bigger to come along, and for that they should be applauded.
Ofcourse if Toxin wanted to jump a few carriers and a support fleet into h-w for a fun bit of spankage, I certainly won't complain. As for MC, please drop by again this weekend for more blaster fun

I must confess my view of MC prior to this week was that they were nothing more than a bunch of glorified gate campers but after the last two nights, I'm happy to be proved wrong :p
I also have nothing but respect for Outbreak, they know how to bring it. Unfortunately all I've seen of SERA is their backsides as they scarper (I've been seeing the term "doing a SERA" coined a few times lately) but who knows, perhaps they'll bring it too -

Heh...I guess it was just a matter of time before this otherwise fine thread degenerated into a bit of ickyness.
Perhaps my esteemed colleague Namber has had a different experience than I, but I don't find myself agreeing with too much of what was said.
SERA, I've seen very little of. They roam around but I don't hear about too many engagements. Take from that what you will.
KIA, I haven't seen since they war dec'd us. I don't go to empire much, though.
Outbreak, quite frankly, have been very good and active opponents over the past three months or so. Very little smack, very respectable most of the time and have often been game enough to give a fight when outnumbered and outgunned. They are careful, but one cna hardly hold that against them. One need only look at their killboard to see that they are active and have a great deal of success.
Like I said...others' mileage may vary, but this has been my experience.

Reckon we can put in an order for Nodes before the weekend?
I have nothing bad to say about MC/Outbreak/KIA/SERA, as long as the engagements are smack free and not brought to the community in a smacking way then lets dance. AFAIK engagements have been pretty respectful.

Makes sense now, I wondered why you jumped in even though your numbers were quite small. I figured there must be a specific reason this time for the Mothership's appearance.
It's a shame we were a bit slow to react, I would have wanted to shoot at you personally, as some kind of payback for the 2nd alliance tournament :p
Can't wait for the weekend though, some good fights are on their way, I hope.

Massive battle, massive lag.
I got out in the end, but grey- and blackscreened a few times.
Lag was very extreme, luckily it dropped a bit when my siege cycle ended. It seems the experience from fighting TCF pays off in the end. Good tactics MC, and it was a thrill.

would like 2 have seen the fight tbh, 95% of our gang froze completely upon landing on the gate. If you look at the few killmails we got you can see that pretty much the same four ppl are on all of them, which implies that only 4 or so of our 37 man gang could even lock anything There appeared to be a whole hell of a lot of big **** on the gate, im just sad that ccp denied us an actual fight.

Bah, i was too late for this one, was doing other things when I noticed people talking about a battle on IRC. Logged in and came down in an Interceptor (just in time to finish off an MC armageddon) and then warped to the fight... several minutes later, screen loaded, I was already locked and taking damage.
Looked fairly evenish, MM killboard shows battle report with only about 10 more on the mc/bob side .. and 3 MC Motherships ofc
Looking forward to this weekend. -

I myself was lucky enough to actually be able to lock/fire, but unfortionatly the vast majority of our gang never loaded. The first 3 fc's werent even able to see targets let alone call them, so it fell to the fourth in line to make a go of it. Sounds like it was a great fight all told. Good job to every1 that turned up.

The lag was pretty bad. It's probably why we lost our carrier as one of the Aeon's had two remote capital reps that never activated. Then again, there was so much DPS flying around...

I'm not sure if you are aware of what you have started here Seleene, the concept of showing repect to your opponents was long lost in EVE. I am sure I have seen some posts from BOB in this thread, they are actually smack free, and it makes me shudder, but they are complimenting the hostiles that fought them...omg!
Is this a new age

I am damn proud of my people. They stood and fought even though they knew we were getting sandwiched by the MC and BOB fleets. Although I knew it wasnt going to be a good outcome, everyone of them begged me to force the fight. We brought the caps in knowing we would probably lose them. I cant say enough about Morsus Mihi right now. I wouldnt fly with anyone else in Eve.
Respect for everyone involved in this fight. No smack. Lots of lag, but thats to be expected in epic battles like this one. It why we play the game, for nights like this we will remember for along time.
And never doubt Morsus Mihi's resolve. We were forged in years of conflict and have a fighting spirit that most will never match.

So how do you manage the two PTT keys?
Also, I can't say much more than was already said. "It's a trap!" "Yeah, we know. We're going in anyway." That gives me wood tbh .
My sincerest respect goes to the pilots of the Northern alliances that showed up. Extra respect goes to Morsus Mihi, as they have brought the fight more than once, and refuse to be intimidated by us like so many others before them have been. These guys (and girls?) have brass ones, and don't let anyone tell you otherwise, so long as you keep up the way you are. From one internet spaceship warrior to another, good fight.

Edited by: searchi on 03/02/2007 06:15:44 well mm. point is that your next fleet will be smaller and then smaller again. which ultimately means u will loose. fun is all nice but giving presents to the enemy makes them stronger and you weaker. you can say good fight all you want. battles with a killratio of 1:10 will bring even your morale down in the long run.
as a bob hater person i wouldnt really like that.

Originally by: KOTH Fluf I am damn proud of my people.

We all learn from victory's and defeat's, enjoying the game while experiencing both is what matter's. To the guy who said he was amazed that bob has been respectful etc, we have always said we will give respect to those who deserve it, and MM and iron definately deserve it for bringing it in this massive and sexy battle (emote purr's )

Sir, Don't worry about losses, the general idea we have is "don't fly ships you can't afford to loose"
So Morsus Mihi plays this game to fight, we win and loose, but that's all about this game. I don't know who you are, or what the politics of you corp is, but thank you for your concern
Regarding BoB and MC: dudes GF, we have a lot of fun and bring it on, we still love to rock & roll with you (and love the smack-free actions, that how it should go everytime in this game)

Logged on and gang was already en route (as usual).
Jumped in inty, caught up.
On the subject of the fight, didn't see jack, never properly loaded at all, managed to take down a bob inty and then got targeted so mwd away (I guessed, couldn't tell as screen was frozen) Unlagged at 924km from the gate with 18% structure (and no drones, again, they musta lagged out also)
From the sound of things other ppl in gang had lag even worse, nvm though was a fight and I had plenty beer so not all bad.
Everyone is going out of their way to be polite so I guess I should reciprocate - GF.

I must also give due credit where it needs to be given. A big thanks to Morsus Mihi for wanting to not have another dull Friday night. I was forced into missing the previous day's fight but damn glad to have been a part of this second one. It was indeed as epic as everyone is titling it and for too many right reasons, from the parties involved to the tactics employed and the all around candor and class from all sides.
The girlfriend will attest to the fact that even after going out for dinner and a movie that I was still more intent on the fact that I got the Thanatos out at 85% structure and shaking over the fact of it. Man I love the body's response to crazy adrenaline rushes induced by EVE when 3 Moros', and a Nagalfar all drop siege next to you and forget not to mention the enemy fighters all over.
Well played and perhaps next time.

E-OGL4 Battle Summary
As near as I've been able to put together this is what happened. MM and friends had a gang of at least 90, at least 35-40 of which were Battleships. We had a medium sized gang in Empire that consisted mainly of HACs and a few BS. The MM gang surged into Taisy and we hauled ass back to base to get into heavier ships. After a few jumps in, the MM gang turned around and headed back out to 0.0.
We'd been in contact with BoB and learned that DICE had a gang with twenty fleet-fitted BS in it that were coming up behind. We'd switched out to BS as much as we could and were fielding about 25 now. We figured that between BoB and MC, we now had roughly equal BS numbers but MMs support was still more. Talk of sandwiching them began.
The BoB fleet was formed up on the E-O gate in 15W waiting for MM to jump in. Our covert ops reported that the enemy fleet had warped to a POS and we were wondering if we were going to get a fight. Then, as our fleet jumped into M-O, the entire enemy force landed on the M-O gate in E-O. Our FC decided to force the issue and jumped the MC fleet into the fire.
Sixty seconds into the fight, MC dropped a cyno field and we jumped in a Nyx, two Aeons and four carriers. The cyno ship got vaporized so all of the cap ships popped out at random points in the system and had to warp back into the gate.
The MC and MM BS fleets were just shredding each other. A BS popped on either side about once every 20-30 seconds from what I could see. Our support seemed to be doing well though, as everything that got near our BS popped pretty fast. The problem was that MM had more BS to lose and we were getting mauled. After another minute, BoB warped in and started to hit MM from another direction. But it wasn't over yet.
A cyno field popped twenty km away from my Nyx and several flashes of light announced the arrival of ten enemy capital ships. There appeared to be an even split of five dreads and five carriers. Not good. We kept our remaining BS on the task of assisting BoB with thinning out the still large MM fleet and I had our carriers focus on the enemy dreads.
The slugfest went on and somewhere in the middle of all of this an IRON gang of support showed up as well. I didn't realize it at the time. All I knew was that after half an hour of shooting there were still too damn many enemy ships out there.
Realizing that shooting at Alynthir's Aeon was useless, the enemy cap ships finally turned their attention to Stradivarious' Nidhoggur. The ship died with nearly 60% cap, almost ready to jump out. The lag kept one of our motherships from getting a pair of Capital Remote reps on him, or else he might have lived.
Finally, the enemy fleet's numbers began to thin out and we focused on killing off as many enemy capital ships as we could. We finished the fight with 1 enemy Thanatos and 3 enemy Moros down.
According to damage logs, the battle lasted one hour and six minutes.

Heh, i was looking at the BoB KB yesterday and noticed the kill tally in that system from the day before.
I looked at the losses posted for the same time and place and saw only one BS loss or something and thought, wtf, 30+ bs kills, 4 capitals, ONE bs lost ?
Then ofc I heard MC was involved and took most of the enemy fire.
Sounds like an epic one, pity that we're not playing along up there.

The only killboard involved that is 'non-public' is ours; the rest of the major participants, D2, IRON, RAZOR, Morsus Mihi, Kia, TRI, 0utbreak and BoB all have public killboards. Ours will be back on line as soon as it is ready to cope with the demands you guys put on it (I hope!), which this contract combined with the new killboard software rather exceeded our expectations
From our perspective, the picture the rest are painting is relatively accurate, as these things go.

From our KB it shows that we lost around 20 BS, 1 Carrier and some support.
DICE lost one or two BS and some support.
The north lost 36 BS, 3 Dreads (Moros) and a Carrier and a ton of support.
MC/DICE held the field and could loot the billions in ISK of mods and salvage. -

nice to see people enjoying fighting, but imho only concern i have (everyone knows i love mm :P) is why dont d2 come with motherships to help (afaik they have some). with fights nowadays which involve such monsters numbers dont mean that much as in normal bs and smaller capital ships fights.
ie no matter how much mm and iron enjoy fights atm they might ask themselves why d2 dont help with motherships. cuz such things means A LOT in fights, excellent tankers, almost imposible to kill, with good dmg and support abilities. so if north keep fighting witout their support and bob brings theirs to assist mc, i think outcomes of the battles will be mostly known even before of fights.
i know that wont affect their morale cuz simply they r like that, if they r up to fight they will even knowingly suicide just to get some fun but it might make them ask themselves questions about their allies. if my assumption that d2 doesnt have motherships (which i doubt tbh) then i apologize to them but if they do they might ask themselves if their friends expect some help. thou i guess maybe d2 doesnt wanna get in on larger scale cuz it would mean much bigger blobs and lag and they still wouldnt like to send just motherships.
imho north should workout some fleet compositions with each allie bringing certain number of ships so fleets get whats needed and pilots from all allies get some fun and ofc not overblob and not get fight at all.
knowing all sides involved r always in for fight even outnumbered, and that all r after fights and fun i think north should just organise fleet compositions bit more so they get bigger chance of winning fights (its very hard to win a fight and hold the battlefield when enemy has 3 ms fielded) and ofc (i think im speaking for whole eve atm) give us a chance of seeing first mothership in eve go boom (with fraps ofc).
i really hope it wont be norhts one (hey im allowed to cheer for one side here right ? :P)
keep the good and smackfree fights on and hf guys and girls :)

the reason (I PERSONALLY THINK) that we haven't commited our capitals is because we have not been asked to, every night we have several roaming gangs running around in the northern regions and the southern regions. D2/MM/IRON all keep in close contact and if MM wanted any help all they would have to do is ask and we would come running.
However, last week when we though it was on we swarmed two staging areas, and it got very boring because noone would fight and who would blame them why fight when you're heavily outnumbered?
As for the capitals question, why commit motherships to go after other motherships making hit and runs? the ASCN titan was apparently popped on a technicality; titans and motherships are notoriously difficult to kill, and even harder to keep bloody still long enough to kill them.
Anyway the absence of d2 capital ships can be explained by the simple answer of MM don't want them
at least thats MY take on it anyway (like walking across a bloody minefield posting here isnt it?)

Don D2 would come in a minute if asked as would all the allies in the north. As Torq said we are in constant contact with each other and have had to resort to roaming gangs as the first week Dice/MC moved up here we were outblobbing everything and weren't getting any fights. Im sure that will change as the rest of BOB and company move up.
What alot of people in Eve fail to understand is all 4 of the major alliances up here, D2/MM/RZR/IRON can defend themselves and have competent FC's and fleet compositions. D2 has the better cap fleet, but all of us can fight. MM just happens to be at the front door and is getting a few more of them atm. But if I needed my allies help, I could ask they would be there in minutes. Thats what "friends" are for.
Good write-up Seleene. Maybe Ill do the next one when MM wins!

... perhaps they are more involved than RZR is? There are some very very deep bonds between 4s & certain TDG members, like inabilty to post with 4s char due to ISD pwning their posts

DICE lost one or two BS and some support.
The north lost 36 BS, 3 Dreads (Moros) and a Carrier and a ton of support.
MC/DICE held the field and could loot the billions in ISK of mods and salvage.
There are 46 BS kills posted on the bob killboard, and there are probably some more bs kills where only MC participated.

truth is there r some verz verz strong bonds between some TDG members (ex 4s members :P) and 4S. thou none of us in TDG (arkazzul, major absolom and me) doesnt have account/char in 4s. our main connection to lots of ppl in 4s/other serbian corps (including our danish serbs, austrian etc - i mean asimilated ppl from other countries who came to visit us in serbia and became serbs :P) is simply real life friendship.
ie whatever i need to know i dont have to read forums or mail someone i just do a phonecall here and there and find out what i need. in the past i even had bigger advance by just asking my brother (shone) for what i wanna know but since he became inactive **** i have to call others or ask them when i see them on drinking gatherings :P
still my post didnt mean i have info that something is bad in their relation with d2, im just away from home for 2 months and i cant ask them myself, and im bored so i love to post on forums :D

And me not getting the two Remote Armor Reps on the Aeon to activate :( -

Damn, was hoping someone had a fraps of this soon. I am at work right now so I guess this baby will have to wait until get off of work.
BTW, a bit off topic about your blurb Seleene. I have noticed that the Chimera is very small, hell my Thorax is almost as big as it. And I have noticed that the Wyrvern (or however you spell the Caldari Mothership) that KSUDruid was flying around was tiny as well.
Sense my alt will be flying the Chimera in 5 weeks I am a bit concerned about my e-peen and I got to ask: Will they ever fix the graphic bug of the Caldari carrier/MS? Please tell me yes!!!!

I'm glad to see MM has gotten it's act together again. There was quite a rough patch for them. I can say from frist hand experience, MM proper is a force to recon with.
Props to MC for taking on the challenge, wish I could have been there. Carrier fights are the best, just wish more people would understand what front line use is really like.

The devs have CONFIRMED that they will fix the center point bug on the Chimera as well as its size. Its under the game development forum, topic called caldari carrier, its like 12 pages long or something. They said it will probably be fixed before Revelations 2.
