Percival Diddly Unscoped Myriad Alliance	Posted - 2007.02.05 15:21:00 - [1] Edited by: Percival Diddly on 05/02/2007 15:18:29 Today will see Myriad Alliance reset all standings gained over the last 8 months with the exception of NapÆs arranged over the last week. Myriad alliance will be taking a short 2 week break in order to replace lost assets and people lost over the last 8 months. I wish to truly thank and honor the people we have fought for the last 8 months in 0.0 and at the top of this list are UNL, I feel our alliances were fairly balanced fighting against each other and there were a lot of good fights. Thanks to TCF, RA, GOON, CA, IAC, SoD, aAa, Volition Cult, Twilight Zone, and so many others I canÆt even begin to list!!! 6-7 months in one 0.0 region is a long time when it's all contested. Thank you so much to all our allies in the south, LV, V, UCC, NUTS, IPOD, Maelstrom, MWA, CDSI, DSA... and again so many more. We wish it to be made clear at this point we are no longer part of the southern wars. The main reason I joined was because CHIMP disbanded and I wanted to stay in the region. I am super extremely glad I picked The Jorg as the corp to join to be part of Myriad because they absolutely rock and I love where I am at now. But getting back on topic, I would have to say all the respect I had for Myriad was absolutely lost when you guys decided to pack up and run from Immensea, turning the outpost over to UNL without a fight. I passed through there the other day and between Z-H, 2o-, and e8- there were like SIX people in those 3 outpost systems total. Based on these numbers I think they might not have even sieged us that bad. Even if they did siege us, and it looked like we had no chance to survive, we still should have made it HURT for them to take the outpost. I can not stress how much it really disappointed me when you guys decided to just pack up and leave, GIVING the outpost away to hostiles without making them work for it. Look at what is happening with FATAL now in YM-SRU. We are getting sieged by several alliances that greatly outnumber us and we are utterly destroying them. They (hostiles) have not managed to erect ONE pos in our system and only one of our pos was destroyed during/around/right before the time LV detonated the DD (causing utter destruction to our foes) and that pos was promptly replaced with another. This is because FATAL pilots actually come to the fight. So far alliance chat in FATAL has had less people than I saw Myriad's alliance chat did but the gangs we form are 2-3 times bigger than any gang I was in while with Myriad and the gangs form minutes after they are called for. When I was in Myriad and hostiles would come around just about everyone in system would dock up and hide or ss, except for The JORG members of course (lub u guys) . I would have to scream for almost an hour to get a 10-15 person gang when there would be 80 friends in local. Then people would say (almost try to ORDER) "No, dock up NOW! Don't fight them! Live to rat/mine another day!" even though sometimes we had a gang definitely capable of taking the hostiles on, it wasn't like we would be just throwing ships away. I'm sorry but that is alliance carebear actions that do not belong anywhere in 0.0 and I personally find quite pathetic. I am not trying to flame or smack but Myriad has greatly disappointed me. I was skeptical of joining Myriad in the first place but at first when I did you guys were doing very well - forming gangs quickly to take out hostiles, removing hostile POS from our surrounding systems, great ops, and other things. Then it just went down hill. All in all though I am absolutely positively 100% glad I decided to join Myriad when CHIMP disbanded because if I hadn't made that choice I would not have found the absolute awesome corp I am in now. Myriad, you guys have utterly disappointed me. You guys have definitely turned into an empire alliance. I still wish you guys the best in your future endeavors. I really hope you can get the alliance back to the glory it was right around the time I first joined. There are still some absolute awesome people in Myriad (although I was not too fond of the leadership). Theme song for past few days :-p

My corp have only been in the alliance a short while have have nothing but praise for Myriad as a whole. I'm sure that there will be things the corp won't be happy with but thats where compromise comes into play. If you can't wish us good luck with out having a go about something that is dead and buried then don't say anything at all. anyway fly safe my friend

You say that if I couldn't wish good luck without giving my 2isk then I shouldn't have said anything at all - well if this thread was posted just for gl's after the decisions that were made, not being expected to receive at least some criticism, then the thread shouldn't have been posted in the first place. From the early days and our fun with RAIDS (later part of UNL), to the absolute crap of having to camp Z-H2MA for 6 days straight because someone in CHIMP turned their only sov-claiming pos off. And, believe it or not, it went downhill from there. We had the IAC funtrain roll down into immensea, forcing CHIMP to hand z-h to us, only a mere 5 months after it was promised. We then held that outpost with some diplomacy that's been described as just about everything from genius to outright **faced backstabbing, only to have the accusers of said faced backstabbing turn round and do exactly the same thing, even after we risked everything to maintain our friendship with them. And yet again, more downhill. CHIMP managed to lose an outpost in 2 days to a 30-man gank squad, without so much as thinking about asking for help. Then, the only aparrant remaining sense in chimp came to the fore and they offered us the outpost in 2o-eew, which, we took, but then almost had pos spammed from under us by volition cult. On came 2 months or so of marginal stability, but with heavy combat on both sides due to having a hostile outpost 3 jumps out. So, we begin to bring in reinforcements in the form of the UCC and NUTS and we prepare for an assault on E8-YSN, planned for the first weekend after the new year. Then, absolute disaster, mere hours before the assault (which no one was meant to know about, yet somehow the entire jorg managed to know every detail of the plan), disaster strikes, and ISS get gangbanged, and 300+ TCF 'n' co ride on into I-N. We're in a position where we have nigh on 1000 online hostiles less than 30 jumps from our home, and pretty much just us to defend it. I'd actually like to thank IAC at this point for not riding on down to 2o-eew, even though we know for a fact you had a 90 man gang about 4 jumps from I-N on the first night of fighting. After I-N fell, which, lets face it, was an inevitability, even with similar gang sizes and the Titan in play, we recieved information from TCF that their next target was Myriad. They would come for us, and hard, they had all those eager aAa, IAC, SoD, RA and Goons to call on if LV turned up. So, they gave us a choice, we could pay them an absurd amount to not the lose the outpost (but still be attacked), be attacked with everything, or get the ** out of dodge with a 2-week NAP. The CEOs and reps of the corps voted on this, and it was almost unanimous to move back to empire for a month until we find a new home. Strangley enough, even the gung-ho reg keeper, usually with about as much diplomacy as a brick voted to pull out of the fight, but he was mid-tantrum about being kept out of the loop, so he didn't matter anyway. If you had had a problem with Myriad's actions at the time, every single member had every single opportunity to raise questions about it. Yet, instead, you wait until you can hide behind your shiny new alliance ticker, which, i might add, is a dedicated PvP alliance with innumberable capitals and a massive wallet, so its no surprise that you're bleeding Ka-tet 'n' co. dry. Just remember: just about everyone who was in immensea says it was one of the best times they ever had in EVE, even VOLT, who had a carrier instapopped, a pos removed forcibly and another pos stolen in the space of 2 days. If they can smile, why the hell can't you?

We fought hard and lost if we didnt fight then who was fighting in I-N, i know we werent the onlyones there but we lost and after that loss we had even less allies and we lost I-N we didnt give it. Sometimes its better to acknolage your defeat than fight for nothing, just look at so many alliances like ascn theres no honor in lieing to yourself and your mebers The Rings Forums

As the acting CEO of The Jorg during our time with Myriad, I can say that our time there was fun. Perci and the Myriad leadership had alot of tuff choices to make during the end time for us in Immensea. I being one of the ones pounding the so called "war drum" I was totally comitted to feed POS guns and give the lot trying to take the system as much of a hard time as possible . But, in the end the choice was made to leave Immensea. A tactical retreat lets say Bluechest. Perci is a good leader and has my respect for standing up and making the tuff decisions that needed to be made in some tuff times. I wish Myriad all the best for the future. Take care and fly safe o/ Pump PS. I choose not to get into the above poo slinging because that is not what this topic is about. And besides, I hate forums anyway

If your alliance wishes to take this time to rebuild and re-establish yourselves, I highly recommend you leaving the TAMA region unless you wish to lose more ships. Although, so far it's been fun killing your ships.
