Or, "I want to be funny".
CA's been peddling Snake Oil lately. And they're apparently now placing all of their hopes on Castor Oil. It is beyond me why they think it would change anything in their favor. The patch won't change our planning capabilities or their propensity for delusion.
However, maybe this unfounded faith in Castor Oil will allow them to finally break the cycle of self-propagating irrationality. Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups.

Castor does put some hope into lots of honest players.
We hope that the cheating sob's will have to find new ways to cheat.
We hope that CCP actually puts in ways to find and prevent cheating.
So yeah, CA hopes for Castor. --------------------------------------------------

well, at least i know that EVOLUTION is useing "the GRID CHEAT/EXPLOIT/BUG". wouldnt surprise me if they do other things too, but well, hard to proof that.
EVOL are good fighters, but still they hide as long as they dont outnumber you.

I'm not sure why it has become a trend in Eve to consider tactical retreats as some form of cowardice.
We all do it - CA do it, Evol do it, anyone with brains is not going to sit around and lose their 80 million dollar battleship in a fight they can't win.
I was travelling in my BB the other night and happened upon a TTI blackbird (of which the pilot's name escapes me). Anyway, to this guy's credit, he decided to try and take me on near station. Problem was, he was running jammers up to the hilt (as blackbirds tend to do) and I was running my travel config (light rat lasers and tanked up on overdrives and microwarps) with no ECCM.
I simply couldnt get a lock on him, so I flew away, stating "some other time when Ive got my fighting togs on". He clicked into the usual kneejerk "blah blah blah evo wont fight 1v1 etc im gonna post on the forums blah blah blah". So, anyway, I made a point of sitting in space for five minutes, and explained to him that I wasnt going to take him on and lose my battleship out of some warped sense of "honour" which means that I end up losing my battleship caus I can't target him.
To his credit, he ended up agreeing. We bid eachother good evening, and I left. He even offered me safe passage out of the system for being courteous about it.
Point being, playing smart does not make you are a coward. Retreating when you are in a fight you can't win does not make you a coward. I played competition RTCW for a while, and it was the cardinal sin in that game to jump into a fight unless you had the numbers to win it. That was one of the first things that new players learned when they started playing competitively - Rambo's lose you games. You retreat, wait for back up and make sure that you end up the victor when the fight is on - thats what makes it a team game.
Even Captain Kirk had to up his tail and run sometimes in order to save the Enterprise. Some of the corps in Eve need to refine some of their ideas on team strategy, IMO - maybe they wouldnt lose so many ships as a result. I get the feeling often that a lot of the teams we fight in eve have very little experience in team-based PvP games (of which we have a strong background in) -
I simply cant get used to this thing in Eve where all these players run to the forums to complain that you either outnumbered them, used tactical strikes on them, caught them when they weren't ready, retreated until backup arrived, or just plain didnt sit in space facing eachother on an open battleground unloading all of your mods at them and then allowing them to do the same. I mean, its not the American Civil War we're fighting here people, and we are not the English redcoats. Some of these teams could probably benefit from thinking more about winning wars and less about winning skirmishes.

any CA with a sensible head on his/her shoulders, and not too much pride stuffed up his/her rear end, that has gone against Evol could say otherwise. unfortunately such a person is rare.
