Originally by: lofty29 A carrier tbh. People have said that dreads w/ tracking computers are total BS rapers, but, and this is a rather big but, one or two tracking disruptors and you're in trouble.
Oh, not at all. A dreadnought in siege (which, incidentally, is the only situation where XL guns are worth using, due to their comparatively abysmal natural DPS) is immune to all EW (which is another considerable advantage the Thanatos doesn't get, but can somewhat compensate for it with the remote fighter assignment ability).

The Thanatos can field 15 fighters total, but Carrier 5 takes 63 days to train even with good learning skills. i think 14 fighters will work just fine :-).

Both are e-wang enlargers with little general utility other than the above.

Yes, this clearly happens every second day.
No wait, it doesn't. Thats why a vid was made of it.

Not true. All you need is Large Hybrid V and Gunnery V for the Capital Hybrids skill, so if you don't already have Small V / Small Spec IV / Medium V / Medium Spec IV / Large Spec IV you're saving quite a bit of SP than if you counted those in (plus all the spec support skill requirements...)
and just for note -- the XL Blaster track the same as Dual 250mm Railgun IIs. Not really sure how to provide an analogy for the XL Railgun...heh.

well, honestly, while dreads tend to be seen mostly for pos assault, carriers are a rather common sight in 0.0 and can be seen fighting more often than one might think!

For small to medium gang engagements, Thanatos. A squadron of fighters is like a squadron of interceptors. It is very versitile as opposed to the Dread.
A post earlier mentioned that one tracking disruptor is all it would take. Yep. going into seige costs you mobility, which is useful in a small enviroment.
If you go Moros I'd say invest in a WTFOMG webber. That + Tracking Computers = supposedly a lot of hurt.
It comes down to more versatile = Thanatos more destructive ability = Moros.
