has this been tested? if not, then i think you should do so, if my reckoning is right, you won't be able to do this. the guy with the 25m3 drone bay will not be able to control 5 heavy drones as it won't let him scoop and deploy them one by one.
i'm pretty sure i tried the same once by attempting to scoop an ally's drones when they warped off and i had my drones deployed. i had drone bay space to scoop, but because i had drones in space equal to my max bay size, nothing happened.

Its NOT an exploit and if i remember correctly it wasn't an exploit 6-7 months ago when an identical thread was raised.
If this becomes an exploit because you do not physically have the sapce to carry all deployed drones then assigning fighters to ships that do not have the capacity to carry them should also be considered an exploit IMO.

I will test it later tonight, but other people seem to be using it fine.

the GM's have said it's not an exploit and they pretty much have the final say unless a senior dev says otherwise.
