After returning recently I was approached by them to recruit me to their very large company. I decided what the heck. Its been a long time since I was in a Large Alliance and thought it would be nice for a change. If a man named MetalDev or christmascaveman from [AM0K] approach any of you about joining their corp, its a strong bet they just want to rob you. I was told i was in and if i needed help moving my ships, they would be more than happy. So after moving everything i owned we had to wait for the mysterious CEO to approve or disapprove my application. The next time I logged in im told the CEO was suspicious of me and needed collateral to ensure i was not some sort of spy. Well API in hand i couldnt really hide anything so im like yeah sure. After about 6B give or take a few couple hundred mill im told im declined because i dont have a mining permit. I say this knowing it will be deleted in 5 minutes. I dont know if ill get banned or not but i dont care. I knew coming back to this game after so many years would be challenging. I could probably make the money up with some hard work in a couple of months but i dont have it in me. What does amaze me is that CCP allows this and encourages it to be honest. Just fired my second account up yesterday because i was excited to be back and finally a part of something again. Dont be a chump like me. Stick with small fun corps who just want to have fun. There are some really disgusting people in the world. How naive ive become to continue to expect the best from people. The thing is that someone who would steal here would steal from you any chance they got if they were to see you on the street as well. Learn from my lesson the few people who read this before its deleted.

I didnt expect an established powerful corp like that to do this. They certainly dont need my ships. I would never have trusted an unknown corp to do this and if you read what I wrote you can tell im not asking for sympathy. Im simply telling people what happened so they can avoid. Too bad i never noticed the crime and punishment area until now. :)

Just got back in the game and no time really invested in it in years. Im embarrassed as much as anything because i tend to think far too highly of people. Of course I know people who have been robbed on here by so called long time friends. Its the world we live in

As Loyd and Ralph have mentioned, many of us partake in activities in the game that we would NEVER do in RL. We're not closet thieves and murderers. It's just that this game allows for thievery and murder and all sorts of nogoodery that we have learned can be quite enjoyable. They have even advertised in the past 'Be The Villain!', the problem with this is preconceptions from other games as to what a villain is. It's not the comical, yet ineffective Snidely Whiplash archetype in this game that is the villain... it's con men, thieves, gankers, and other forms of predation.... all of which appealing to different types of player. You got a taste of evil in EVE. It stings, but it's not the end of the world. Come hell or high water, this sick world will know I was here.

Just don't confuse game behavior with RL behavior. If you play poker, then bluffing (lying) is an accepted game mechanic. People that bluff in game might be totally honest with you outside the game. People that play FPS don't run around shooting people at random in RL like they do in game. In eve scamming is very much accepted as long as the scam takes place completely within game space. Sorry for your loss, but Goonswarm, one of the most oldest corps in the game has always told their newbies to basically perform this same scam, charging a recruiting fee etc, when the only way to get in was via something awful forum invite after 3 months of participation. There are two major rules in eve. 1. Never fly what you can't afford to lose. 2. Trust no one. My choice of pronouns is based on your avatar. Even if I know what is behind the avatar.

I just don't see AG failing all the time because since loyal started to dunk Freighters all AGs are somehow in Uedama and left the miners behind.
