I've been thinking about this for awhile and I have been able to conclude that kieron has the hardest job at CCP. Please see the examples below:
kieron announces new patch to resolve some issues:
Community response: kieron takes heat for not addressing issues not covered in the patch.
kieron announces a hot patch to fix issues not addressed in previous patch:
Community response: kieron takes heat for 'nerfing stuff' released in previous patch.
kieron announces an investigation into dev misconduct:
Community response: kieron takes heat for the investigation taking too long.
kieron announces some initial finding of the investigation and reinterates CCP's stance on cheating:
Community response: kieron is too vague etc.. etc..
Can the mighty kieron never win? 
kieron, from a very addicted EvE player I thank you for what you are doing on the forums by keeping people informed and maintaining a 'pipe line' contact between the player base and CCP.

Don't think that he gets all the flames. Usually people write 'CCP' or 'devs' and not 'Kieron'. They know what Kieron's job is.
Some of the devs have surely suffered more directly aimed criticism in a not so appropriate form.

Yeah but it's exhausting work trying to think down to their level, and then no matter what you say they'll find another reason to flame, troll and just be a great big PITA.
Kudos to kieron for managing to get outta bed every day (hung over ofc, this is CCP we're talking about) to do an impossible job.

Yes he wins every week when he gets his paycheck. It is his job to do all those things and so much more.
Thank him for doing his job if you think he is doing well, but dont make him a martyr. He hasnt cured cancer and Im pretty sure he hasnt made the Amarrians and Matari have a civil conversation yet.
He is a customer relations person and quite frankly I would like to see more customer relations, as private eve boards all over the place are going crazy and the deafening silence from him in particular only fuels the crazy ideas.

That's kind of the point of a PR person..
The real "test" is if he learns anything from his mistakes*.
*I happen to agree that the whole Inquiry Findings post was lacking--as did my rough estimation of 80%+ of the people that posted in that thread (yes, I read all 24 pages of it). While the whole gaming populace doesn't post on the forums, mature industries have formulas that 1 complaint call represents x number of customers.
