One of my corp m8's pointed out that current insta-jump bm's may no longer be useful with the intro of gate-to-gate jumping as the original marks were set basd on the old JIP's.

As for the topic one note to hellmars post is that he said for .3 and lower. This means for .4 and higher travel shall still be slower which is what i think the devs intended. But at least minning 10 jumps from the nearest station will not be hampered. However i forsee many complaints ahead with use of the warp disruptor field units. I will however enjoy them untill they get nerfd.
YET another merry men in tights. Usin his tough guy sounds to cover his rl "oops lookie i sat in vasaline" attitude. Dont flame less you wanna get flamed, punk. I'll blow the he** outta your lil disruptors everytime i see em.

Edited by: MrBinary on 15/12/2003 21:40:59 Heya Lester,
I too played WW2 Online. What an awesome game!
I was part of the Black Knight Brigade.
Too many great and defining moments to list here...
Good times indeed.

Quote: Yeah right, you're saying you use instajump BM's when going 45 jumps into 0.0 ?
Why not ? Thats what I do, at least on routes I travel frequently and/or ones that get blockaded a high percentage of the time. The MWD/AB nerf is not going to make enough of a difference to get upset over. I was mildly irritated at the thought of losing my instajump BM's, but only because of the sheer amount of time I put into setting them all up (and reorganizing them into folders every time I have to delete my /cache folder to solve eve lockups or loss of attribute points).

Quote: As Jash said, the added time isnt worth quitting over.
If you weigh it up this way, I did a 17 jump route last night to go and get my self some equipment. I hit the auto pilot (checked the map for a safe route before hand) and then went and had dinner.
If you honestly say that you have 17 Book marks for such a trip then I think your pulling my leg a little too much. I have book marks for 4 jump and 7 jump trips but thats only for a specific run and even if I do lose the Bookmark feature. I still have some form of Afterburner to speed me up to get to the gate.
So overall, no real lose. I still get to my destination.
But as I have said with others. If this is annoying you to the point of quitting or its turning it into a PvP hell hole for you. Here is your perfect Game.
um i know for a fact that the person that made this thread has over 30bms one way. say his folder was listed as point a to point b, he has 60bms in there. He travels faster than a guy with dual mwds hitting them at each gate. So tell me why takin away ab/mwds/bms would not be hurting that much. Time is an issue irl. The devs are manipulating the game to take more time from you. Sure, i'll play 40 to 80 hours a week but they gotta get me a paycheck rollin at about 17bucks per hour. The amount of invested time i have for a character means nothing I could give it up in a heartbeat. When I leave someone's gonna think they won the lottery x 100. I dont care if i spent 6 mos to get to this position, what have i gained irl? a fat a*s*z? yep Has it furthered me in my persuit of happiness? nope. Will learning these new skills/new ways to fight/new ways to run*(if possible)/new ways to get nerfed, get me irl? NOTHING. not even a grain of dirt. I see numbers, stockpiles building up, I think im doing great! I turn off the game at 3 am in the mornin. Tired, I wake up the next day, **** and moan about no sleep. You have to invest a god 6 to 7 hours per playtime to get anything done. Where does that leave me time to do my clothes, cook, clean, study? none. If i keep getting nerfed Im out too. I cannot afford to blow anymore time on a game that I have seen the good in, slow to a standstill. Im not gonna wait till tech 3 to come out so that I can have my best ab's and mwds back. OHh yea i have to buy them again or hunt for them, with the promise of them getting nerfed in the future too. What do i have to lookforward to? A complete and utter waiste of time. A losing battle. I do not like losin battles. Some losses are expected and cannot do anything about.
I can honestly say that most of the client base here are adults. I have not met one young guy/girl in the possible 300 people I have talked to since i been on. Take that figure, 1 out of 300. Adults and some kids have jobs/school. Nerfing will take weeks to do what you could do in 2 to 3 nights. I would not pi*sz the customers off too much, eve is a nice game, I enjoy playing it very much, make sure you pay attention to your customer base as eve is not the only fun game out there.
