We have now split up the two cases that courier missions were being used for transport of items and escrow. There are now two separate panels to make a "mission". One for normal courier missions and one to enter items into escrow which can then be claimed by someone else, this was already being used on TQ for remote and offline trading of items or a set of items.
As the there are now 2 cases we are limiting courier mission packages to be smaller than 20.000 m3, this should reduce the scams that have been going on. Iteron V with T2 expanders has 20.169 m3 in cargo after some cargo size changes we have done so there is at least room for ôanti scammersö to go and mop up the too big missions out there.
We made it so that entering items into Escrow is not cancellable; the items have to remain in escrow for the duration. This allows for some form of corp employee contracts. We have designs on the table for an extension to this, allowing for true contracts between a corp and itÆs employees that will be in a patch after Christmas.
Please review the changes that are already in place and give us your comments.

Guess we'll have to wait for the patch notes to see about the cargo size changes | Join eve-webring.com to promote your site. |

sounds good...
should also reduce the "open Courier mission Tab" lag a little bit.
nice... keep up changes like this one. -------------------------------------------- Never argue with an Idoit, they will drag you down to their Level and beat you with experience. |

Im certainly liking the idea that this can be used to setup "contract" froma corporation to its members. - Certainly more tools (in game ones) are needed for Corp:Member activities such as this.
Good news alround - Nice one Hellmar

What would perhaps also be nice is to see the contents of the escrow mission, if that doesn't already happen.
That would at least remove scams where people receive a large quantity of junk and not what was ordered.
Currently the flaw with the 'collect by named person' type missions is that you have absolutely no idea if the package you are collecting, and thus providing the collaterol for, contains what is 'in theory' the deliverable part of the contract.
If you don't provide that level of visibility of the contents, how does this resovle those scams?
An itemised list of the contents of the package before you carry it would be a nice start if that was to be the case.

Does an unaware recipient of these new missions get a notification of some sort or can he/she only see it if she/he looks in the Missions screen? It could be a nice way to "give" people stuff (improving RP possibilities).

May I safely assume that courier mission filtering has been fixed and adjusted accordingly? --
