omg. But to answer the questions, there is no difference between 'alligning for warp'mode and 'normal'mode. The loss of lock and stuff only occures when the ship actually warps.

Basicly, you do missions for an agent, which will increase your standing with that corp. After a certain amount of missions and a certain standing you will get a referral to another agent. Repeat :)
