Battle Report: 2007.02.18 - ED-L9T
On Friday and Saturday we fought D2, yesterday being understandably slower than the Friday night. So, today we felt a bit of a chance in scenery. BoB forces floated down to Querious to support our allies in Firmus Ixion, themselves feeling a gang-bang of numerically superior proportions from the forces of PURE, Razor, Morsus Mihi and IRON. These forces had been sieging ED- since the Friday and were looking to finish off some FIX towers this afternoon. What, you say? Dreads in the open?
Too much fun not to miss. BoB forces coordinated with FIX and setup a jump portal from deep within Delve. As we watched hostile forces siege we bided our time and jumped in to ED-. As BoB forces entered the warzone we warped to our recon teams and engaged the sieging dreadnaughts, a total of 11 were sieging the tower. In the meantime FIX forces had also engaged and the hostile fleet had warped in to engage and scattered as they saw local climb and the titan enter the equation. As the hostile fleet bailed we brought in friendly dreadnaughts and started calling the primaries. Whilst support kept the hostile dreads scrambled our fleet worked its way down the target list the fleet went to work and our recon teams reported from the hostile POS. With our titan in grid the hostile fleet didn't have a chance to settle as we turned dreadnaught after dreadnaught in to loot. This paranoia allowed us to use the titan in its true form, as a weapon of terror and pyschological warfare. As the last dreads were dieing one managed to escape by jumping away, to join those that had run away earlier in the engagement.
6 confirmed dreads down.
The fight then moved from the FIX pos to the station as BoB recon forces noticed a large bubble and medium support gang camp. As we came in to engage these forces they scattered, soon to be followed by the main hostile battleship force warping in to engage. As the battle raged hostile forces tried warping around the battlefield and repositioning themselves to gain the upperhand. This never materialised as, on the second repositioning they walked straight in to the Judgement. Unfortunately communications didn't enable all friendly forces to clear the area of effect and some friendly pilots ended up in pods. With the judgement detonated hostile forces seemed to take heart that they would not have to worry about it for an hour and came back in to engage, trying to pick off some seperated battleships. BoB recon forces once again showed their quality as the fleet immediately repositioned to engagement range and a good old fashioned slug fest commenced, with BoB forces joined part way through by two motherships and being supported by carriers the fight soon started going the way of the BoB... we held the field, the system remains hostile but the defenders have cut the attackers down at the knee.
How far can you crawl, guys?

You're the only ones that have had to crawl home so far in this war I believe. Other than that, nice write up though you could have embellished a little on the DD which killed more BoB forces than your opponents.

Ask your alliance to write their side of the story here? I think the op wrote a good battle report. Yes, he writes that he likes the enemy being down and all. Of course, everything else would be strange! But it is smackfree, explains a bit what happened and all. And 6 dreads killed is worth some mentioning also.
Would be good to have more reports written like that. But who will win the next round?

With the advantage of the titan and a large cap fleet on BOB/allies side along with the higher experience levels they have, I think they will be able to hold off much of the attacks against their space during these weekends.
However, it will be interesting how the fight plays out during the other 5 days of the week, where the number advantage of the coalition comes to bear. IMO, LV space will be the first to go unless something drastic is done.
BOB with its massive cap fleet along with the MC cap fleet should be able to hold its own however against the enemies. When/if the Goon/curse coalition with RA are free to engage them. Things might be different.
I think the most important thing to watch for right now is... the fighting in LV space.
