So yes i call this cheating. thats simply not true. For one thing, most IP addresses arent even static and secondly u dont "own" a ip adress. Its like saying that your phone number is private while its written in every telephone book or that its forbidden to give someones phone adress to a 3rd person.

There is no such thing as a "private internet IP" - the closest you can get is the 192 past your router. CH

And of course German law do not treat IPs as private information because it would be stupid. This information must be public to allow comunication between computers. What they protect is not IP address but connection between address and names of people. As far as I know (I get only some info from forums so I may be wrong) D2 did not get names of people. They just compared two sets of IP adresses. From law point of view there is nothing wrong with it. Of course it's some kind of metagaming but using forums by spies also is.

I was one of the dreads that managed to jump to safety. Lag at the POS for us wasn't very bad at all to be honest, probably because everything was already loaded, but the support fleet that tried to come in to help us was suffering excuciating lag on warp in. Although it was a bad result for coalition forces it wont change whats going to happen in ED- that system will fall, sooner or later it's almost constantly camped by coalition forces and all attacks by Fix are repelled with ease. Yes BoB can throw a spanner in the works but they have to bring along a titan to do it but thankfully with Shrike at the helm he toasts more of his own than of us How far can we crawl? We dont have to, we're already where we want to be

I got back into high sec to go to bed just as i heard our cap ships were in trouble, i jumped in a ECM cruiser and rushed back to ED- just to get lagged out continually... there was no lag regarding the BoB cap spam yesterday, all 4 motherships, titan and 8 carriers +100 or so support loaded just fine, but today it was just lag wars, im suprised anyone survived the DD at station, the only people that died are the ones who's wing commanders didnt load in time to warp them the hell out. I avoided the DD but died to bob support later on, was a good fight other than the epic lag... Im sure this will all be a great morale boost to fix, enjoy it, but remember, if your clone costs more than your ship... you're doing it wrong.

Then, answer me this: How come some many alliance need to Gang up to invade Q and still DONT have the MASSIVE CAP Fleet firepower to face BoB alone?? Maybe BoB obtained some info (and not only info.... ) in a not so "legitimate" fashion??? I think this is the main question lots of players have been asking those 3 years I am playing this game...how come BoB always is one step ahead of ALL the others??? OK they play from early ALPHA...so what? I am p(l)aying for 3 years and the least I ask is fair play and fair treatment to ALL players...
