** Disclaimer** Please note that this is not a statement for or against any particular entity, but a statement on the truth as i see things. Also note that this view includes all parties involved in the current Pendulum Wars in the south and south/east*
The Pendulum Wars are true love/hate wars. As much as people may try to deny it, everyone needs a villain. These villains believe it or not ... ill say it again ... are pure love/hate relationships. Deny it all you want, but every side would be be sad without our favorite villains. No matter who your villains are at this time, believe it or not ... you need them.
Each and every pilot/corp/alliance has favorite villains. It is human nature to need conflict, to need foes that you can hold up as pure evil to your side and say "Hey people on my side, look how evil these people/corps/alliances have become". It is important for every group in the eve world to have a rally call and a focus. We all need to feel we can right the great injustice, fight the good fight, be the hero and save the day. To say it in one simple term.... we all want to be on the side of "The Righteous.
I do not care what side of this war you are on, thats not important. What is important though is that all sides need each other, and deep down every side is actually glad to have the others to condemn to villainy ...without them life would be boring and dull.
What is at hand is the thing everyone in Eve has wanted for the last few years. We have "The" war of wars with clear cut lines... where every side can rally to fight the good fight. We live in a time that may never be seen again. A time where the entire eve world is at war. A war to end all wars. Enjoy it while it lasts, because two years from now people will be asking "Where were you during the Pendulum Wars?".

a war will end all wars??? why ? all of us will resign subscription after that?
jovians will come and will take all player owned stations and will put concord in every 0.0?
No the war will never stop even if one side or other will be completly decimated. In short time every coalition will broke and they will start fighting eachother.
can u name this war better a clash of the capitals ...already had been destroyed lots of those in few days.

i call it 'the great war for the south, The Rise And Fall of Titan's '
to symbolize the birth of several titans and the destruction of several titans
also it symbolizes the rise of an ancient force CA and the falling of several , the recent backlash from the whistleblower incident (BOB and the renewed loss of trust)

War is a highlight of someone's fall, Where one empire falls another empire rises to take its place and so the chain can never be broken

Eve GMs are calling it "Eve Galactic War" (Check EGW channel ingame). My personal favorite, because I coined it, is Karmageddon.

i honestly can't help but think that this is all sort of planned by ccp. people have been building up and saving up capital ships and fleets in the nooks and crannies of the universe for a while.. the newest trailer did say pretty clearly, the time for peace has come to an end..
they say war is great for the economy. if the same holds true for eve, while 0.0 has seen an influx of a large generation of new eve players, the market seems isolated still into pockets at best. what greater way to get those capital ships into wrecks and the economy flowing to replace them?
so maybe they didn't plan it, it's hard to really predict enough to plan game changes around.. but if they are good at REACTING to the way we play the game, i say it the latest changes have been a brilliant move.
so we're in a military age? just make me wonder what happens when the dust settles..
