Conan is a normal MMO with an action combat system. Looks great.

I dont belive u're right on that one. :/
SWG is a targeting MMORPG since you had to press with your mouse on every enemy you wanted to attack.

Meridian 59 can be played sans auto-targeting, if you are so inclined.

Hey, this person is correct.
Darkfall is a FPS MMO PVP FULL LOOT. no targetting, all spells and archery is manually aimed, collision detection etc for hits. No names over your head or NPCs. Locked forward view 1st/3rd person so it's about as close as you'll get.
Gonna be very FPS skill oriented though. This is my opinion not that of privateer corp, alliance, its member corps, affiliates, minions, pet animals, ex girlfriends, former roommates, 3rd grade gym teachers, late relatives, ontime relatives, |

Face of mankind uses non targeting system simular to most FPS/3rd person (you can play in both). From what i remember playing (havent for several months) all missions are player made, which of course due to the fact many upper rank players are never online means that theres not alot for non traders to do other then gank other faction members. Traders have the advantage of being able to do randomly generated mining/production missions...but theyre so dull its worse then grinding.
Still, it kept me hooked for a lil while, & has potential. & most importnantly in this case, its not got autotargeting.

Actually, neocron 2 is actually just neocron 1 but with the two added to the title(it is the same game).

The NGE made it so it can be played without targetting. CU/Pre-CU it was targetting, it is no longer.

Allegiance is one space game (somewhat similar to EVE, actually) that's non-targeting, as you put it. Microsoft dropped it not long after release but a dedicated community has continued.

World War II -online is definitely non-targeting and 100% PvP. In imho, it pwns anything else iŠv been playing in the PvP area. I mostly fly CAS (combat air support) in a Hurricane IIC, but you can also play infantry, tank, AAA, AT-gun etc etc.

Jumpgate was THE game!
Wait, you're actually that w0rmy? I always thought the name was just a coincidence...
Also yeah, JG rocked, and Istvan's still my hero.
We should turn this thread into a JumpGate circlejerk. Wouldn't that be awesome ?

Really good game but less RPG'ish... it's a MMOFPS game more then a RPG game. Sure, you can level up which allows you to pilot better planes, tanks and guns but in the end, it's more the FPS part that determines your skill and success...
Man, that game got me hooked for a long time
