what the ****, mate? I mean, perhaps there is some sort of a rock-smoking party in the next room i've somehow remained unaware of, but the swarm doesn't have any capacity for corruption mainly due to lack of ambition and even any sort of a unified management. the swarm is - in the most literal terms you can imagine - a motley gathering of *everyone* who doesn't want to cede territories to bob (today, tomorrow, ever..) which makes your comment about 'slaves' very amusing. Many of the coalition 'members' are in fact traditional enemies who've decided to set their differences aside for the time being and deal with the more pressing matter at hand (an open incursion by LV/BOB which was routed in its baby steps)
If you're going to take up the reigns of a blowhard on these forums, at least get your bloody facts straight.

Edited by: Jane Spondogolo on 26/02/2007 02:06:59 Bravo Uuve, in one paragraph you've pierced the tinfoil madness and put the issue into focus.
DSA, LV are being attacked due to collaboration with BoB and its weapons of mass destruction program with the titan manufacturer. Your actions directly aide and abet this. Trying to throw the smoke of the worse sort of accusation (the vague 'they are bad, no specificity' allegations are unethical and nasty minded at best because they can not be addressed) hoping to distract attention.
You know what you have to do DSA. Contact the coalition and negotiate surrender. I dont think you have a choice in this matter, because as it stands your about to lose everything you have, and its inevitable.

I think it's utterly admirable this gesture DSA have made, and one that 9/10 corps/alliances wouldn't have the balls to make under such circumstances. **** all the flaming the usual tard-spects will predictably continue to heap on your thread, anyone with an ounce of objectivity could only level praise at you guys for this. More power to you, and I promise I'll try help you guys out where I can 07

Why hate on the goons? Its IAC that smashed your freighter and escort fleet while trying to flee through HED yesterday. I almost felt bad for ordering it... until reading your official threads.

It was the Goons who were so bold as to give terms of surrender so early in the fight. What is it that they say about pride?
Long live DSA.

Dear Distant Star Alliance.
Is it true that you were created by LV as a holding alliance for purposes of standings and that you were populated solely by Omist tenants that paid LV cash to be there? Ok just making sure where we stand before we continue this beautiful dialogue.
It is odd that you would post this incredibly brave statement just a day after you were in negotiations on how best you were to surrender to our forces. I believe the sticking point was whether or not you were able to pay the cost we had dictated to you.
Would you like me to post that log for everybody to see? So that everybody can high-5 you and acclaim your bravery for standing up to the horrible mean nasty Goon menace? It's really a good log and truly captures the essence of "DSA BRAVERY" to the fullest.
By the way our offer is off the table. Pack your crap up and get back to empire.

I'm pretty sure that most people would feel that a wise leader would take time to consider all options. I'm not stupid, DSA is a small alliance that had very little unity, maily because of how/why it was formed. I have no illusions as to our inability to defend the region against your alliance. LV handed complete ownership of the alliance to me about an hour before our "chat". We were directed to talk to you about what our options were, I expected some cordial conversation. I didn't expect to be greeted by some one who in his introduction of himself, makes a clear point of what a jerk he is and that he "doesn't even play the game" that we are discussing, but here are the terms of your surrender. I decided to see the dicussion through and it would have been foolish of me not to try and get the best deal I could. If for no other reason than it bought the members of the alliance who wanted to leave a few days to evacuate. I asked what few questions that I knew my members would ask. It would have been irresponsible of me to do otherwise.
As for our posts here today, they were a bit of role-playing fun. I'm not sure if the forum rules allow for you to post the chat, I don't really care if you do, so long as you do a "find and replace" on our screen names so they don't get published to the whole world. But I think that it will do more to show people the true attitude of Goonswarm leadership, than it will show me to be "less than brave" as you imply. Mostly it will show that you didn't have the decency to show some level of respect to another group of human beings, just because your 20 times larger than they are.

Says they have enough understanding about what is happening to give you the opportunity to make a decision that won't waste the isk of your members. Had you accepted an offer by the goons or anyone else in the R-Train and then asked IAC for safe passage through catch you wouldn't have been hunted down and your freighter caravan disposed of.
Now you've come on the forums trying to slander the goon name and call its associates slaves. Class... or lacktherof.
