Err - I beleive you are slightly wrong on that count - the curse and pilgrim are amarr ships and in the recon ships arena nothing comes close to Amarr tbh

It simple really - once Amarr have the balanced damage types things are going to change - a lot. Many of you have laughed at Amarr due to maybe your ability to pop them relatively easily, but have you never thought that is because the only two damage types we can do are the ones you tank the most? How are you fancying an apoc sat at range spanking you with tech 2 tachys doing explosive and kinetic dmg - I woiuld buy a second hard drive purely for the fraps videos when that moment comes I can tell you.

I fly pretty much every single amarr ship, and I'm about to be in an Archon within the next month. I have to say that the only amarr ship I consider to be worthy of the training time is the curse/pilgrim, everything else is kinda gimpy.

So after about a year and a half of amarr specific training, I'm about tired of waiting for CCP to fix us and as soon as I get my Archon I'm cross-speccing to Gallente... Then I won't have anything to worry about.

Edit - Yeah I know from the dev blog that the fix is apparently coming, but didn't I hear that same thing awhile ago? If a fix is truly coming anytime within the next year I doubt it'll be a very good one, especially with all the other bugs and broken game mechanics to fix and balance.

Some days I wish I would've never decided to train amarr instead of sticking to my race... scratch that, EVERY day. Maybe I'll cross spec back to gallente before I go the Archon route, would need to just train gallente cruiser to 4 and 5, then instant ishtar/deimos/astarte, all much better than their amarr equivalents, even with inferior skills in hybrid weapons.
