The Event team should focus more on thinking on their feet, rather than trying to follow The Script. While having a plan is nice, no plan survives first contact with the enemy (or in this case, players.) _

Major UI overhaul
When code is migrated from Python to C implement the specific interface parts in LUA. I'm sure there would soon spread a whole new modding community assisting with poor UI work or UI-bugs (this has happened in other games). Since the implementation of a new UI scripting language is unfortunatly rather unlikely there are many other things that need some love in the current UI.
The conventional overhaul should at least cover the following parts: Drone UI (Buttons for fast commandment of deployed Drones) Cacheable Market orders (some people dont care about a one-second-up-to-date version of market data) Overview (Export/Import presets to/from files, additionally its far too laggy) Rework the IGB, this piece of software just isnt state-of-the-art anymore with a rendertime of >10s on a p4-640 and 2 gigs ram for a simple html page In general all UI parts should work asynchronous, generating a user picture should not noticeable delay the game client The seamless map has some problems with speed (fps wise) when in system mode Some UI parts are not moveable, this should be adressed too Speed of Contracts [Contracts are already on the todo list according to the blogs] ___________________

you've got a great game going here. but don't try to limit it. The fun part of eve is it enormousness. Many people like the world you've guys created. But it seems you are turning it in a fragfest game.
I would give the playerbase even more options to do. And enhance the non-combat part of the game. Many gamers prefer not to PVP they play the game because of economics/social part behind it. They enjoy controlling a market or becoming succesful. And when you get insanely rich/bored with that aspect they can still decide to try PvP. But dont force us, and dont limit the non-pvp playing style so much! This game can still grow alot if you would give the miners/traders/producers etc some love

If a player shoots a player with a negative security status in low sec, don't give them a sec hit (to allow anti-pirates to do their job without getting banned from high-sec). =AFK=

A solution to local that combines scanning (based off ships stats, not the "scanner" as we know it today), player infrastructure, and sovereignty, and even environments, such that star systems feel less like a collection of known warp points and people at them.

Find a way to involve every player ingame (that wishes to, obviously) with Factional Warfare. Not just straight shooting, but make production influential, f.e. By your own words, itll still be PvP anyway, since everyone is at all times competing in one way or another. Essentially, involve everyone in the way they want.

I would love to see combat involve the environment. I don't want my missiles to fly through asteroids. I don't want my railgun shots passing through two friendly and three hostile ships to eventually smack into that BS I targetted out at 150km, I want it to accidentally pop that friendly 'dictor that just happened to fly into the target path.
I mean c'mon... Missiles flying THROUGH asteroids?

Better methods of gaining destination gate tactical situation without the use of alts or sacrifical lamb. For example: Real realtime map statistics or number of players in system with a bounty or low/bad/awful security status (NOT standing) for adjacent systems only.

Seed tech2 blueprint originals, allow a limited supply of moon minerals/t2 components to dictate availability of the end product. Moon minerals are currently worthless this would give more reasons to be in 0.0 space - and therefore fight to control it...

Improved dynamic mission system - more variety in missions and objectives (rescues, specific item recovery, enemy elimination, escort duty, courier with enemy encounters along the way ... so many ideas, so few currently implemented) - greater variability in mission opponents, their placement, numbers, and behavior in response to player actions.

Personally, I'd like to see better NPC AI and behaviour.
As it stands, NPC characters behave very differently from player characters, requiring completely different setups for PvE and PvP gameplay. I'd like to see NPCs that behave more like players. For example, a NPC Executioner would have 2 high slots, 2 medium slots, and 2 low slots (or at least behave like it does) and have a chance of dropping some or all the modules that it uses (i.e, lasers, AB/MWD, nanos/tank, etc.) I'd like to see NPCs that use all of the modules that they drop (i.e, NOS, remote reps, etc).
I'd also like to see NPCs that are susceptible to EW. As it stands, dedicated EW ships are mostly only useful in PvP, as the only EW module that affects NPCs is the NOS, and even that does little as NPCs hvae no actual capacitor to NOS. NOSing an NPC should have a similar effect as NOSing a player ship would (although of course NPCs that fit cap boosters would be less susceptible).
This would serve to bring PVP and PVE fits closer together, which would reduce a lot of the whining about missions moving into low sec ("I can't fit for PvE without making myself prey to pirates!" - well, now your PvE fit can also be a decent PvP fit.). It would also serve one of CCP's stated long-term goals, which is to involve more players in low sec and PVP, by making it much easier for a PVE player to set up and skill for PVP. With NPCs that behave much like player-piloted ships, the gap between "mission runner" and "PVP pilot" could be narrowed, bringing more unity to the world and playstyles of EVE.
Other small things to consider on this subject - giving warp disruption a useful role in PvE and NPCs that (gasp) use drones. ------ Currently Flying: "Righteous Blade XVII" (Armageddon), "Overloaded Monster" (Bestower), "Crazy Ninja PVP IIX" (Vengeance) |

Improvements in corporation management:
Change corporation management a bit. There should be a role for diplomatic things. It is baaad to grant director role just to enable a member to set or change standings. Insert a checkbox in corp management so that the CEO can decide whether certain roles show up in corp attributes (besides the CEO role). Allow corps to set standings to alliances. In addition to that introduce a feature for a corp to take over an alliance' standing (i.e. residents taking over the standings of their residency-giving alliance).
Those tweaks would help a lot both in organization as well as in security meanings.
