The fact that you have to keep 50-100 people in empire seemingly 24/7 just to blob a 15-man KIA gang into a station means 50-100 fewer people in 0.0 blobbing us.

Keep telling yourself they're useless

The contract has already paid for itself in kills twice over due to some unlisted damage (i.e. a guy with full snake implants who was podded, etc). And honestly, keeping half your fleet in empire to blob a tiny KIA gang is priceless.

keeping half our fleet in empire... mhmm... seeing how i can keep most of your alliance docked in ED- by myself on a regular basis... seriously if theres a fight to be had out of fix these days we generally organize something... sitting in ED- or 3-f bubble camping haulers for hours gets boring after a while. That and KIA actually fight. props to KIA for giving us a few good gang battles but I think a lot of our losses are travellers... thats our fault though, people need to cut the slack and be ready to move in gangs.

And yes dark shikari... oh, if only it wasnt for your mercs, we could have 50-100 people in ed- all day... sitting there watching the roids grow... /tear.
