And by expensive I mean horrendously overpriced. Just did the R U for the heck of it. :) And so I guess this is another thing CCP put in the game that only the top 10% or less can actualy do. But at least they will buy my salvage. I just hope it is always worth something to salvage and does not go down to not worth it. But then since it costs so much to invent we do not get to do that?

Mercenary Coalition	Posted - 2007.03.04 21:20:00 - [39] Been playing with invention for awhile now, made quite a bit of money, mostly from selling interface components and completed interfaces. The actual invention portion I have been less successful at :P Mainly due to having to buy my datacores, which is in the process of being fixed(available alt with RPM and no agents :) ) This has sucked up the majority of what I managed to make gathering from exploration sites. TBH if people want cheaper tech 2 mods, and especially, tech 2 rigs, stop charging so much for datacores and components, or sell to the buy orders, not every buy order is a rip off, I usually try to pay a decent price. :) Everytime I go to sell cap console 2s, and my asking price is 400 mil, they do a double take and start saying no more then 100ish. Well when it costs 300 mil to buy the damn components, theres no way in hell I'm going to sell it for less then build cost, and if you knew how much in datacores and time/work is invested in just one of those modules, you might understand the 100 mil I ask in profit... Would I sell for less, maybe, if someone asked me nicely, but I'm still going to get some reward for all the work I put in :P Example = datacores for CCC 2's, roughly 150-180 mil per invention run total. Atm it seems to be about 1 in 3 succeeds, with lvl 4 skills. So we're talking 450 mil in expenses before you even start buying module components, another 300 mil per module in T2 rig components and a decent amount of time hunting them down as they are fairly rare(increase the drop rate pretty please ccp?). Last run I did, produced a 9 run bpc, with a 300 run bpc put into it... so thats 3.15 bil in expenses before I can make anything back. Selling at 400 mil nets me 3.6 bil back... For about 4-5 days work(not including waiting for buy orders to get me components) gets less then 500 mil back... 500 mil sounds like a lot, for 4-5 days work it isn't... I can make more npcing in 0.0 :/ Haven't played with ships yet, waiting to see if it worth the effort first... Sure, bring a knife to a gunfight.

Why ? i have spent a lot of time learning science skills and increasing my standings with the right npc corporations , i want my reward honestly selling my datacores to other players .
