But I would like them to get it right for all inventionable items and specialy ships. I hope.

So technically I made isk from invention :P Must have been before they changed it because now you can't get more than 14-19 runs I think. It's profitable for a selected few modules only, and that will also change once enough people try to sell stuff from invented BPCs. Maybe when people stop buying datacores at these horrendous rates - but then again people will probably stop buying datacores for R&P and just hope for a BPO :/ Ceterum censeo 'Concordia' esse delendam.

Say someone can make a billion off inventing item X. The people with the datacores for inventing item X are going to say "hey that guy is making a billion with our datacores let's get a piece of the pie". This causes the datacore prices to go up which makes the profit on other invention items go down. There are not enough datacores on the market to cause the high profit items to drop in price though so the situation is not resolved properly. When they remove the locks on how many datacores people can buy and fix the spawn rates like they plan to it'll start working much better.

But if you have to go out and buy datacores for your invention projects, you aren't going to make much isk. Get your own research agents and work up faction and standings. Then get the datacores from them.

With invention you can make good money. You just need to know what you should invent. Not everything is profitable.
