Do you know how much you can sell something as compared to a T2 BPO owner done item?
It seems like it takes millions to invent, do you get many bpo's?

On contract system I found a 40 run 1400mm t2 bpc, it was invention cuz it had -7 ME or something similar. I bought it for 200 mill + mineral cost, ended getting around 500 mill for all 40 guns. So technically I made isk from invention :P

Hmm, well that is good news and I would guess it cost the inventor about 40 mil?
But I would like them to get it right for all inventionable items and specialy ships. I hope.

R U dyslexic or something? Or maybe U don't have any hands and are forced to type using only your face?
*ahem* Anyway, invention is profitable, but only on the more expensive ships/modules. And by expensive I mean horrendously overpriced. ___

I'm selling an Alpha(bet) Interface.
It will invent the letters "A" and "E" and "Y" and "O".
Make loads of profit selling them to players who don't have them anymore!

Must have been before they changed it because now you can't get more than 14-19 runs I think. It's profitable for a selected few modules only, and that will also change once enough people try to sell stuff from invented BPCs. Maybe when people stop buying datacores at these horrendous rates - but then again people will probably stop buying datacores for R&P and just hope for a BPO :/

The reason it's profitable for a few items at a time only is because of market pricing.
Say someone can make a billion off inventing item X.
The people with the datacores for inventing item X are going to say "hey that guy is making a billion with our datacores let's get a piece of the pie".
This causes the datacore prices to go up which makes the profit on other invention items go down.
There are not enough datacores on the market to cause the high profit items to drop in price though so the situation is not resolved properly. When they remove the locks on how many datacores people can buy and fix the spawn rates like they plan to it'll start working much better.

Yea, i'm making a ton off of invention. I'm selling datacores.
But if you have to go out and buy datacores for your invention projects, you aren't going to make much isk. Get your own research agents and work up faction and standings. Then get the datacores from them.

Cry more
It's not an insutlt to dyslexic people, you shouldn't find it offensive. Failing that, be offended, get over it, move on.
May I also point out that if the guy had spent another few fractions of a second typing the full words none of that would ever have been said.

Flamed for actually being offended due to a RL condition, I've heard it all now. I wonder if you'd be as inpolite to an individual if you had to look them in the eye.

I think it is quite funny.
People are too lazy to type properly and showing so quite a lot of disrespect. But on the other hand they want other people to help them with something, they want answers.
How can they expect anyone to take their time to type in a thoughtful answer when they themselves are so lazy and disrespectful? Very strange.
Anyway, the answer to the OP is: yes. With invention you can make good money. You just need to know what you should invent. Not everything is profitable.

Has anyone had any success trying to invent a Covert Ops cloak at all ?
I've had one failed attempt before I started to see people say "its not possible".
So before I throw more isk at another attempt I thought I'd ask.
