Contest: Name a Fan Site!
Prizes: Cerberus, Deimos, Ishkur, Hawk, Taranis, Crow
A few friends and I have been working for a while on a Gallente/Caldari fansite with a forum; the site is almost done and we are eager to launch it as soon as possible. We decided to run a contest to come up with a name and tag-line for this new site, which is currently running under the name "Session Change in Progress." While a good name, we just don't think it meets the requirements that we'd like it to, as well as being a bit long to say.
Name Requirements:
The name can be anything as long as it's not offensive, and preferably has some mention to the Caldari or Gallente (although not a requirement by any means). It should shorten well for an abbreviation as well as a domain (hence why we're not using the current name). The name should not have the word "EVE" in it, as almost every other eve site uses that.
Tagline Requirements:
The tagline contest is similarly open, the tagline must not be offensive and should be catchy. Some easy examples...
- For when lag is just that intense.
- Our guns aren't nerfed!
- Tracking's for chumps.
The Prizes
1 - Deimos
1 - Cerberus
1 - Ishkur
1 - Hawk
1 - Taranis
1 - Crow
The winner of the site-name competition will receive first pick of one ship from the list, the winner of the tagline competition will receive second pick of one ship from the list.
The remaining four T2 Elite Frigates will be handed out by lottery two weeks after the site launches to users of the site. Every submission (news, article, page, etc) will give you one entry, thus everyone has a chance to win, big contributors have a bigger chance to win.
Contest Ends Exactly 10 Days from this post.

Why does the website need a name ? just use the IP address. Imagine how original it'll be.

A good name would be Gatecamp you could put Caladri or Galante before it ...though I think just Gatecamp would be better.

Just looking through some of the suggestions here, nice to see this thread gaining some steam. I'm working on the site with Sakura, and here are some of the ideas I liked more then others...

I think you guys will do better if you didn't just limit yourself to cal/gal, as some of the names are just bad attempts at combining the two.

Since my first "try" was a bit hastely and more humorous, why not go with:
The Crystal Boulevard - "Yes, the Crystal Boulevard is indeed impressive."
It's gallente, it's EVE, it's all you could hope for a visual style and EVE-CB isn't too hard to remember.
Only thing missing is the Caldari side, but i can figure out more if needeth be.
