On Thursday, 5th of march, diewh where hanging out about raeghoscon. Not up to much, we were sat about doing care bear things protecting our brother serpentiĘs from the evil rat hunting fiends. We where sitting about chilling as we do, listening to the tunes when out they read, there coming to our current system to run a tournament. Well we had a look at what frigates we had. Pity the count was zero, so we loaded up an alt to enter the competition. We successfully infiltrated the competition, at the point the contestants where warped to the battle point, the alt dropped from gang and was quickly ganged to the crew of pwnage. By the time the first shot was fired in the arena the group was 5ay out and in warp. Landing they quickly tackled the guards dropping them and causing complete chaos in the arena. 90% of contestants seemed unaware of the pirate presence till they where alpha striked. Through out this Djkarma is broadcasting to the whole eve radio audience the outcome of the slaughter. A drake jumps in to save the first, how ever valiant the effort the drake pilot soon ejected to save his implants presenting diewh with a free drake. Which is now sat in our hangers, at this time there was a rival gang to do the same operation but it appears nobody is as good as us at yarring.
It appears that no frigate tournament will be run next week. I wonder why !!!!!

Dear Sigel,
20 minutes later, still laughing. This is my first eve-o forum post, my months of lurking silence ended by such a great prank. Oh and the Domi shooting flames like a hot-rod, pure cinematic genius, looks so rad.
Anyone have an .mp3 of the radio show?
Thanks again.
Back to lurking.

This was the most boring **** I've ever seen. You laugh like a chick btw, and you should try to put on the option 'lock modules', cause you drag em around like an idiot.
This is not piracy, so stop pretending you are one with crappy pirate music.
PvP in EVE is fine, never had any problems with it, and perform it frequently. But this is simply unfair stupid griefing, you ruined a frig contest, your intentions weren't to gain profit from this, you simply wanted to ruin a contest and ruin people's day.

And 'your' opinion of what a pirate is or is not may well differ from others. In fact it probably differs from the larger majority of EvE, but thats ok... it's your opinion and your entitled to it.

Somehow it lacks the style or finness of last time a Eve-Radio frig fight got jumped. A curse mysteriouly decloaked by the ref, crippled the ship and ransomed it

Beg to differ. Find it very amusing. Missing your definition of piracy.

Thanks for the post's . in defence of the domi pilot i belive he dragged his mwd upto the top row to get it on hotkey. As it appeared to be the only module required.
we had expected to see more resitance and for ocean souls gang too warp in, as they appear to have been reconing the group with similar intent. How ever they held back when we jumped in.

Pretty much says it all for me.
It's because of people like these that AURORA events also get set back or halted, that the ISD team organise.
Idiots who want nothing more than to wreck an organised event that was created for the enjoyment of the community.

Don't bother to try to talk to me about defining piracy, I've been pirating for 3 years now, and this is not piracy, it's plain out idiocy.
This is deffinately piracy and can even be fit in with roleplay. Pirates destroying an organised event, looting it and using suprise to cause havoc. All this is there. The point? Publicity, when someone receives a comms invite from these guys in te future they will be struck with fear and more obliged to pay.
As for Aurora events the reason they get et back or halted is they suck. When kehmor or viceroy or digitalcommunist hear about a haule travelling through space and are offered a chance to "escort" it their in game personalities would jump at this idea. If Aurora accomodated more for all sides of the game this wouldn't be a problem. When ISD make their events two sided (I.E. let the pirates join the other side, or they create pirate exclusive events I'll be more inclined not to grief them.
Don't bother to try to talk to me about defining piracy, I've been pirating for 3 years now, and this is definately piracy, it's plain out hilarious.

From a RP perspective crashing a pilot competition like this is totally valid and provides extra excitement for eveyone involved in it IMHO.
Two weeks back I was gonna jump phoenix into eve radio frig fight just for laughs but something else 'came up'. (though tbh they would of probably destroyed it :-)

Just because an event "sucks" in your eyes, does not meen it sucks for others.
Again wrecking an event is pure stupidity, not piracy. _______________________

What exactly is the difference between wrecking an event and killing a miningop? If you REALLY think about it, not much.

Sorry Verone but I have to disagree, interfering with an event in this manner shouldn't ruin it and it shouldn't be unexpected or looked poorly upon, quite the opposite, it is the event planner's fault if they don't make plans for this possibility and have ways to prevent it via game mechanics (i.e. security forces) or roll with it if it does happen.
Nobody likes railroading. When Aurora does an event involving the Minnies blowing up an Amarr battlestation and the Amarr Navy representative deliberately puts the loyalists on hold until it's too late to get there in time to stop them, that's stupid railroading because there's no possibility of player intervention changing the outcome. Trying to say events should never be interfered with is more of the same. Events should be fluid and open to all the possibilities of Eve, including pirates/hostiles coming in and "ruining" it. That's dynamic RP, that's what Eve is all about.
