fantastic to see that so many old friends are still around. I salute everyone of you. *tips hat*

Yay! A JQA thread, lots of old familiar faces in here.
Have alot of fond memories of my time there, mostly of DNA and the rest of the Y9G pirate group trying to kill me, oh and that Jovian Diplomat casuing a node crash in SU! Syndicate certainly kept you on your toes.
I still have the TS recording of that last Senate meeting somewhere, just as things started to crumble. I miss the old JQA forums (some of my best work was on those forums - Hi to any members of SONIC )

Thank you.
Though many of the suprm members have gone thier seperate ways since then, I think many of us still remember those fights we had, even if IMP, claims to have done it solo.
Even though the old Suprm members have gone to differant alliences and corps, we all remember standing side by side, and fighting it out untill the end, against a much larger force. A force who though they lost, can be said to put up one hell of a fight.
For me it marks a time in eve that sadely will never be relived. But the out come matters little now. Hopefully wwe can all look back and say "I was a part of that" and remember it foundly.

Holy mother of trips down freakin memory lane!
Yeah man, JQA was the golden days of EVE for me.
This thread is kinda like a high school reunion here.
I am proud to be one of the first pods killed in the battle of VV-VCR!

It was really cool to be a part of that, no matter which side you were on.
Those fleet battles in the early days were some of the best by far. Even though Supremacy handed us our asses.

Originally by: Leishent The JQA alliance was before my time in eve, but I've heard good things about their charter and if a copy still exists I would like to read it.
All I remember about it was that it was looooong, haha. Everything right down to individual belt allocations for different corporations. Hmmm...
/me looks through his old JQA folder...
...OK, I have a copy of my old corp's original application to the alliance which I wrote, a map of lower Syndicate that I made at the time after popular demand, screenshots of my kill records (I was such a proud little newbie, lol), a "battle report" style diary I wrote of the battles of VV-VCR (might post it one day for fun), a copy of the m0o contract that never really properly got off the ground...
...but no charter, sorry.

sweet work ben and kel
Thanks man. Sadly Kel has since unsubscribed but I'm sure he'd be chuffed at seeing that movie being dug up almost two years to the day since its initial release. I still remember the two of us were stoked at all the feedback we got at the time, then Seleene released the famous FoE contract vid like a day later and ours was promptly forgotten about soon after.
Anyways, it's good to see so many other familiar faces still around. Big waves for Maud, Crisis, Arboc, Nache, Chef, Sab, Sword, Dol, Looooooom, Aegis, Wicke, Number One, Tomski, Marty, Rich, Stainless, Hept, Nareau, Artharas, TFU, Chris, Scallen, Heed, Nartoth, Lore, F4ze, Talmssar, Mad, Algo, Missa, Missa's hotpants sig, Zorlondre, Ditch, Raazeal and all the forgotten others. Still miss yas.
EDIT: sorry Grimpak, forgot about you. But it's still your fault that I did.

I can not claim writing credits on JQA's charter. I think Aegis and others are confusing the JQA charter (which I didn't write) with the TFC constitution (which I did write). I was approached about, and advised on, the JQA charter however by its original authors when they were writing it, their names are Antithesis and Sardon. Sardon is still active, Anti is occasionally, I'll ask him next time I see him if he still has a copy of it.

Looking back I had so much fun in JQA, the daily engagements with Armoured Assassins, ClanKillers, DNA and various corps like Teddies and TDG made it all worthwile.
And OMFG the fleet battles with IMP....3-4hrs of pure adrenalin.

JQA were the good times. Syndicate has always been my home but it was just not the same after JQA disbanded. Also it feels like the game just changed soo much after the whole JQA era. Some of the best memories of eve come from that period and i still recall those memories alot of times. Unfortunately i didn't spend that much time in the alliance before it finally disbanded. I spend alot of time fighting JQA, which were good times as well.
/me waves to all x-JQA members. Hope ur all still havin fun.
Oh and, VV-VCR battles were the best ever. Straight up pvp with no laming and smacktalking insta logging and all that kind of new-age-eve-crap-pvp. Those were the days =] =============================================

My corp to this day uses similar procedures. Such as share holders voting in new corp members after a trial period and votes on other potential corp changing events. And everything has to be done within our Constituion. Yes things can take slighly longer to get done, but it means no one person has too much power and probably the reason we are still going after all this time despite sevral disasters in our long history.
yeah like kicking out the then JQA military leader, forget his name, TFC Grimwill IIRC because he was too military based, like turning on your friends etc etc
jesus i am such a bitter betty.
seriously if i had an eve time machine, JQA would be the second place i would return to
last time i ran into Grimwill was back in the TSDS days, before they left stain, one of the strongest FC's in the alliance. Now I am interested to what happened now since its before my time

I think there has been enough replies to bring this up...
Lets reform JQA!! Make a full on reunion out of it! I even have a timeline....
1. Form alliance 2. Storm S-U8A4 3. Form an overlarge Senate 4. Argue about belt allocation 5. Form military, and get a bitter guy to play FC 6. Play with pirates 7. Have a near civil war 8. Get Supremecy to reform 9. Have some epic battles in VV (key point here!!) 10. Argue with each other, throw out some accusations, yell and scream, form large frig gangs and run into the nearest SB battleship 11. Break up, and go back home
We can condense it down to a fun weekend, so long as the VV battles are on Saturday, so i can plan ahead.....oh, and we'll need beer.....lots and lots and lots of beer :)

Edited by: Antithesis on 17/03/2007 16:44:26 Hello to all my old JQA friends and enemies. My friend (in game and in RL) who is in TFC atm told me about this thread so I popped on to see what is up. I actually wrote the JQA Charter in its entirety . TFC Arathorn wrote the TFC Constitution, which TFC is still using to this day.
IÆve looked through all the files I can find but it appears the JQA Charter may be lost. Sorry but this is three computer change-outs after the JQA days (can anyone believe how long weÆve been playing Eve?!) and it seems the Charter document got lost somewhere along the way.
As far as the criticism I read concerning it, yeah, it took awhile to make decisions. I was trying to limit power from anyone group, and institute internal checks and balances so that it would create a stable government. It worked ok pretty much but nothing lasts forever and the Supremacy invasion put too much pressure on the certain elements of the JQA leadership and they usurped power that the charter didnÆt give them with predictable results.
I guess the lesson learned is, that a Charter or other governing document is only as good as the character of people who enforce and abide by its precepts.
Good luck to all and perhaps I will see you in game one day.

Wow! Natasha linked me this topic, and yeah it's like a high school reunion. Hey Grimpak! I'm with Aegis, let's make a weekend of it. The thing I remember most of all is DNA... and hating them with a vengeful loathing. But in truth, those were some real pirates. The kind you could actually respect for their skills. Plus when the VV-VCR battles were raging, they banded together with us, 3FA, and all the other locals cause they didn't want CA coming into Syndicate either. Pirates escorting our supplies to the front lines... Now that's a golden age of EVE sort of memory. Nilkarus hasn't posted here yet?.. Is he still alive?
Lol, I'm sorry Leishent. JQA doesn't even exist anymore, but it just completely hijacked your thread. Just goes to show the kind of power it used to have... Still able to over throw forums even from the grave.
