Hi,
The JQA alliance was before my time in eve, but I've heard good things about their charter and if a copy still exists I would like to read it. Tbh I would be interested in reading other charters as well. Corporation and alliance organisation is something that interest me on an orgianisational level.

Best person to talk to would be a member of Shades Corp, and Crisis would be the best person to talk to. Being an X member i hated the charter, it was all too chris reed orientated, it was slow (could take 2 weeks for a decision on invading a pirate system less than 5 jumps away.) It was good, becuase it was comprehensive, it covered virtually EVERYTHING, however, with how the game has moved along, and the fact that JQA was based in (imho) the most profitable bit of space whilst still being around 10 jumps to empire in eve, also it is 2 constellations with only 1 way in, making it incredibly easy to defend, with NPC stations making it even easier to defend once fortified. you will be hard pressed to find a bit of similar space, and for that reason i dont think the old JQA charter would work for new alliances.

Thank you for your replies. It's out of curiosity that I would like to read it. To be honest I do not have a clue what such a thing contains. Reading in this forum about the huge alliances being successfully led, Im amazed everytime.
I thought I would try and get my hand on the JQA one since its "a thing of the past". I dont think the existing alliances would share theirs? Well, I don't know if an alliance charter is something public

Great times Hast - lots of fleet battles and not so much lag as now - "Its a slaughter" was the battle cry not massacre

Stocker > Hey we've *****ed their safe but they're aligned Fang > We need bait. Loka > Hey what if i fit loads of smartbombs on a ferox and sit 15 off the gate?
I still think the funnier part was sitting waiting at their safe when they warped back in with the remainders .

'its a slaughter' yes :))
hehe Loka in his ferox smartbombing and me in apoc also smartbombing :) (if anyone remembers it?)
also my first engagement in Enyo against Maller. it was pure tactical 1v1. I won :)
i remember my screaming on TS: 'I see maller next to station engaging, he is locking me... engaging... ok guys jump into system...' 'sorry hast, we are 2 jumps out...' :) WTF!!!! :D
I got under his tracking possibility and that what killed him. i finished on structure.

I will only permitt you to hi-jack my thread if you link me to some good charters
JQA sounded like it had an impact on a lot of people though.. oh why didn't I start playing earlier. My friend was on the beta but never convinced me it was any good (he quit before it went live)!!

about JQA all I can say is the Twin VV battles.
the alliance had flaws.
it took waaaaaaaaaay too much time to make decisions.
but it was a tight-knit group where lots of people know each other. I still remember the final days of it with sadness. -------

wow.... JQA, still my fondest memories of Eve are back from those days and of course some bitter ones. The birth of .5. (supremacy etc), the death of an alliance, the grim warnings ingnored by many to their peril later on etc etc.
Anyone got a link to the closing fraps/video that the guys put together?? awesome use of music and action fraps from the day!
Big old fashioned hi 5 to those that remain in Eve from those days.

Edited by: Iron Jaw on 09/03/2007 15:36:02 I joined TFC about 5 months after JQV fell apart, however im sure most of the old TFCers and Ex TFC members such as Deaken could tell you about it. My corp to this day uses similar procedures. Such as share holders voting in new corp members after a trial period and votes on other potential corp changing events. And everything has to be done within our Constituion. Yes things can take slighly longer to get done, but it means no one person has too much power and probably the reason we are still going after all this time despite sevral disasters in our long history.

jesus i am such a bitter betty.
seriously if i had an eve time machine, JQA would be the second place i would return to
