Hey :),
I havent played eve in a while now, and i just googled around what you can do besides of missions/mining/pvp. IOn my research i found something about Epic Arc missions, so I decided to try those, starting with the sisters of eve epic arc "The blood stained stars". Turned out that i already started those back when i played in the past. My journal told me, that I already did the first three missions of that mission line. So i tried to continue where i stopped back then, but I cant. When trying to talk to Tevis Jak, who should give me the next mission, he says that i should drop by, when trying to warp to the place that he is it keeps saying "You need to accept the mission first before warping in". So i tried to talk to Sister Alitura, thats the agent the whole mission chain starts. But she keeps telling me, that "what she got is already promised to antoher pilot". Is this some kind of bug? Am i doing something wrong?
Also i would like to ask if those epic arc missions are realy worth it. I remember flying a lot of security missions in the past, and they started to get realy boring. Are epic arc kind of the same as security missions or are they something different? The description i found on the internet sounds just as epic arc would be exactly the same as ordinary missions.
thank you in advance :)

The Epic arcs are usually a mixture of courier and security missions, some have hacking elements. They are longer and usually a bit more difficult than the regular missions of that level, they give good ISK and have some storyline ... but finally it's the same mission grind / PVE kind of thing as the regular missions. The more fun arcs are those for the pirates, because they happen in nullsec ...
For your problem, would suggest opening a ticket and ask for reset of the arc.

The SoE Epic Arc is repeatable every 3 months (unless that has changed)
I don`t see how you could have got stuck
Anyhow, petition for a reset |

Anyhow, petition for a reset Is this for real? Missions of all types end with a player stuck for all manor of crazy reasons. Required items that do not spawn, glitches between server and client at a critical point, and then the totally off the wall like the guy I watched shoot and destroy the thing he needed to complete the mission. Oh yes I am afraid it is true players even veteran mission runners get "stuck" from time to time. |

I originally thought the SoE repeat was 6 months .. but it does seem to be every 3.
offhand eve-survival also has walkthroughs for these as well as the regular missions |

I think the epic arcs are worth doing at least once if you have any interest in missions,. The SOE arc is trivial once you have any level of combat skills, but the faction arcs are quite a bit more challenging than regular L4 missions. Plus they have a story line and a rewarding loot item at the end. They will give you a bump to your faction standing. Despite the special loot you can earn more IPH grinding L4 missions.
The SOE arc is worth doing if you want a bump to the faction of your choice at the end.
Each arc can be run every 3 months.

SoE one is worth it if you can blitz it as quick as possible. I found the quickest ship was a travel fit dramiel, with a decent combat ship parked in arnon for the last mission or two. |

Anyhow, petition for a reset Yeah...I popped back into the game after an 18 month break. Thought I'd do SOE arc to get back in the swing.
Found that when I had run it before I failed to execute the final turn-in.
Petitioned for a reset.
Good news/Bad news: I got the reset...just reset the final turn-in. 5 minutes later and I'm on a 90-day cooldown

It's actually 90 days, not 3 months, unless everyone that has told me that over the years has been collectively and equally wrong (not beyond the realm of possibility, mind you). Players getting "stuck" in missions is actually a rather routine occurrence from what I gather, especially within the Arcs. I'd repeat what others have recommended, but that's rather redundant, just that I agree with them.
SoE Arc is good for the standings boost it gives since it's A) selective who you get a boost with, B) is a pretty big bump, and C) offers no derived penalty to rival factions. The other L4 Arcs tend to be little better than any usual string of 15-20 L4 missions you normally run through anyways, though the Amaar Arc has nice imp (and some opportunities to loot Amaar Navy tags without incurring the standings hits associated with anti-faction missions) as reward at the end that fetches a descent price still. I'm sure the others have a unique reward as well at the end. Once I've better improved my rather hideous standings with the Gallente and Minmatar, I'll have an opportunity to run those Arcs as well. I've never done the Pirate Arcs before, so I couldn't tell you if they are worth the time and effort, though what little I have heard of them is at least somewhat optimistic.
Also, something else just in case, though admittedly this could just be me. The Arcs give you a rather unique ability to request, accept, and even turn in many of their missions remotely. Normally, this is a very helpful feature that makes up for a lot of the travel you tend to have to do to run them. Just be aware that not all of them can be and that this can become an issue if you are not paying attention to whether or not you have in fact accepted said missions or not. Lest you find yourself accidentally making a 13 jump trip in a battleship just to realize that the mission you thought you accepted was only offered and not yet accepted and now you have to turn around and make the same trip another two times. In other words, make sure the mission you think you're on actually appears below your navigation route/system information to the left of your screen. You'd be surprised how easily you can forget to do that sometimes.
"Tomahawks?"
"----in' A, right?"
"Trouble is, those things cost like a million and a half each."
"----, you pay me half that and I'll hump in some c4 and blow the ---- out of it my own damn self."

I ran the Angel Epic Arc about 6 months ago and it was really well done. The big reward is a nice target painter and a Cynabal BPC which together are like 250-310m I think. (It's been a while)
I had to grind Republic Security Service standings which was super boring, but once you start the arc it's much different from normal missions, the sites are alot more polished and even the dialogue is interesting. If you're a nerd for lore you'll like it as much as I did.
I chose to use a Jaguar to run the missions with and was more than adequate.

One-two hours/days will not make a difference. The 90-day clock doesn't start ticking until the final turn-in. So if you plan to 'farm' the arc, then it makes sense to complete it as quickly as possible.
