It's been nearly 2 years since I first founded the ISS together with Count TaSessine. During that time I'm proud of the many friends and achievements made, for both the ISS and me personally.
Some of the most memorable moments on The Journey have been the birth of the ISS, writing the original ISS charter and negotiating the first host alliance access in Period Basis, to drafting and managing the Marginis IPO, hauling tranquilities first gallente public trading station, through 4 other IPOs to the biggest of all IPOs - the alliance itself ISSO.
As all alliance leaders will know, management and responsibility on this scale takes a toll, and so it is for me. Over the last 6 months, my interest in projects for Tranquility have taken a new direction, and I can no longer keep the quality of effort I would like for ISS projects. So .. it is time for me to depart the ISS.
Stins will be taking on my role as Financial Director and Executor of the ISS. Stins has been the backbone of ISS Logistics since the birth of the ISS, an ISS management team member for over a year and has demonstrated his accumen many times in both trading, finance and diplomacy. The role changes are effective immediately.
I wish my friends at the ISS the best of luck in the future, you're in good hands with Stins.
Before anyone asks: - Yes, you need to contact Stins for Share Exchange - Yes, I will be keeping the shares I bought in ISSO - No, I don't get a golden handshake (OOC: unless beers in RL count)

I'll be happy to buy you more than one beer. The last few years together with you have been a blast and I'm more than happy to continue your work in the future. Thanks for my great eve-experience.
About me
Stins?? That's me. I have been in this game since beta, and in ISS from near her start. I've managed the logistics division of ISS, simply called ISS Logistics for nearly 1,5 years. During that time, ISSL constructed multiple public outposts and handled a lot of internal logistics.
What's next?
My primary focus will be our share exchange programme. We will extend the exchange till 31st march. Effective immediately, I will be the primary contact for the exchange programme. A schedule for availabilty of share traders will be posted as soon as possible.

Edited by: Ling Xiao on 13/03/2007 16:27:11 Much respect to all the work you've put into the many ISS projects. I'm just an outsider looking in, but it's apparent that you've done a hell of a lot.
ISS is a landmark achievement - not just in New Eden, it's an example of what can be done when visionary minds come together.

Edited by: Taikun on 19/03/2007 14:58:50 I just noticed that ISS alliance membership has dropped from 650 ish a little over a week ago, down to 450ish.
Since ISS assets have been stripped orlost to foolish wars not to mention such a bleak outlook for those that remain, I am not too sure that a "fond farwell" is in order for Serenity Steele. Of course... there were people who bought Enron shares right up to the bitter end and I'd put several posters here squarely in that cart.
Lets put the record straight. Serenity Steele and other ISS directors have caused the massive loss of shareholder wealth, with no doubt consider amounts of personal profit gained.
Perhaps celebrations on a long overdue exit would be more appropriate instead of the kissy kissy" posts considering the wasteland Serenity Steele is leaving behind.

Thanks for your bile reply Taikun, I think you missed the whole ISS thing, because quite frankly, your post shows a complete lack of understanding of how the ISS was formed, why it was formed, and what the background to my forming it was.
The benefit I received was the intellectual and emotional challenge of conceiving the Alliance, the IPOs and the opportunity to play at a unique level in EvE.
I've always been richer in EvE than necessary (and than most players), and have frequently financially contributed to the ISS' operations. Never had Neither need nor desire.

I understand completely what ISS 'was' supposed to be, and 'why' you claim it was formed. In fact, it was those reasons why I joined ISSN in the first place and served for 4 months.
What ISS actually turned out to be aftyer joining was quite a different beast than the glossy image you wish to delude people with in these forums.
ISS was basiaclly a cash cow for a few people. Who I might add carried themselves with an air of arrogance. I point to recent IAC political negotiations (or lack thereof) as on going evidence.
The monster that became of ISS happened on YOUR watch. People lost billions of ISK because of YOU.
Wasted time, effort and energy is the legacy you leave behind. Not some trumped up nobal endevour that changed the face of gaming as we know it. ISS is, was and will be remembered as the failure of a handful of people who walked away rich.
Anything other than that truth is sugar coating rat poison.

Wrong thread for this.
There's no buy-back, just like there isn't for pretty much any of the public Eve shares. You can sell them on EGSE, where there are existing buy orders now: http://eve.hubau.be/
Taikun -- rofl! Poor sap apparently believed the rules of engagement didn't apply to him, so he wigged out in game, and then turned into an embittered forum stalker. Fun!

Taikun, your false assertions remain nothing more.
I make no claims as to why ISS was created. The facts are it was created for the aims I stated.
ISS achieved everything I wanted it to while 'I was on watch'. The capture of the ISS stations was indeed a down point, for which I am to blame, in so far as creating the IPOs and building the contruction platforms.

In your four months in ISS you appeared on four killmails and one of those was a loss. tbh I just assumed you were an altspy .. we had loads of those. No one else I've asked even remembers you. So rather than informed insider blowing the gaff, this comes across more like a hostile unsed alt trying to attack from beyond the clonevat.

False?
Has not ISS ****ed away billions of investors hard earned isk? Have you not personally embezzled billions ... wait... of course you didn't because you claim your involvement with ISS was out of the kindness of your heart. Has not ISS been spanked back to empire with membership fleeing in droves?
Hardly flase claims. Rather more... bleedingly obvious truths to anyone reading these forums.
Enjoy the strokefest from the fanbois in here. I assure you there is an entire segment of this game that would love to see your charactor perma popped for your corporate thefts.
At least there is one ting you and I agree on.
Originally by: Serenity Steele ISS achieved everything I wanted it to while 'I was on watch'.
Namely enough embezzled isk to buy gamecards until the game no longer has servers to play on. Only you won't admit that truth. Taikun
