Today i have read in the chat about jump clones and implants. i think i didnt catch the thing. I though if you have implants plugged in if your pod goes boom you lost all of them, but it seems if you have a jump clone with the implants they remain untouched. Can anyone explain me how works all this stuff? having a jump clone with implants is safe?

If you get pod'ed you will lose your implants. However, if you use a jumpclose your implants will stay with the clone you jomped from so when you then is poded your orginal clone (Who is safe at the station with its implants) will still have those.
Ofcource you will not have any effect of your implants unless you put new into your jompclone, but then you will lose those newone if you get podded.
Summary: * You lose any implant you currently have active if you are podded. * If you jump to another close your implant stays with the clone your jumping from and become inactive.

Jump clones are differnt to medical clones, they are like a second body you keep somewhere else. So if you know you are going to war, you can jump out of your body with the implants in, into a new body with no implants and go fight. If you get podded, you can just wait 24 hours and jump into your original body (the one with implants in it) again.

As has been said, Medical Clones, and Jump Clones are two entirely different things.
Medical Clone: This is the clone that is used for when you die. The one that stores all your skillpoints etc. If you are podded, this clone is used, and any implants you had in your head at the time are lost.
Jump Clone: This is a different type of clone, and as its name implies, allows you to "jump" to another clone somewhere else. For instance: I have a clone in a 0.0 station, but I'm in empire. I then jump to my clone in the 0.0 station instantly, but leave any implants I had in my head behind in the empire station. 24 hours later I can then jump back to the empire station, and retrieve my implants.
Having a jump clone will not affect your loss of any implants if podded whilst using them.

Your body is what you fight in, and if you get killed and your implants are in your head, they go poof.
Your "medical clone" is just the point where you respawn at after death.
Your jump clone is an alternate save of your body. You can choose to play in your current body, or you can activate your jump clone and play in it (at which point your current body, with the implants, becomes the jump clone). Basically, with a jump clone, you can alternate between playing in your implants body or your non-implanted body, at will.
They can also be used for teleportation between two points, at will. You can also implant it, and then you have two bodies, each with an implant set, to alternate between.
When you die, you lose whichever body you're in, and go back to the medical clone point.

I was about to ask the same question till I found this... One more thing:
- they were talking about a 0.8 or 8.0 average in the gen forums to get the jump clone... Do i need a high standing with the npc faction to get them or not? and are these accesible in any station or specific ones?
thanks for your time

High standings are required to get jumpclones in empire. Around an 8.0 personal standing to the corp that owns the station. Player owned stations and outposts work in a similar way I'd imagine; but I think the corp that owns that station can adjust it to allow anyone to have a jumpclone there for instance.

In order to install a jump clone you need to be at a station with a Medical Facility with which you, or your corporation has 8.0+ standings. This can take a LOT of mission running to achieve with NPC stations. Once installed, you can ômoveö your jump clone wherever you want. ThatÆs kind of a misnomer since you donÆt really ômoveö your jump clones around. What you actually do is fly your current body, implants and all, to the station that you want to leave a jump clone in and jump from that station to your installed jump clone.
You only have to have high standings to install your jump clones

Just got my clones and want to clarify one thing.
Do I need to worry about leaving a jump clone in the same station as my medical clone. I think the anwer is "no".
Here is the hypothetical situation.
1) Jump clone from the station that has my medical clone.
2) Get Podded
3) Wake up in medical clone. Jump clone in same station still there with implants intact?
4) Jumping again would now destoy jumpclone in same station since now I'm jumping from a station with a jump clone installed in it (medical clone would be come then new jump clone with no implants)?

Correct on all points. Besure to move to a different station before jumping back into your Jump clone, and as normal don't forget to buy a new medical clone after being podded.

Just to clarify do you have to stop training to jump like you do for plugging in a new implant?
In essence I'm wondering if I can jump to a clone with +5 implants in empire, start training a skill that takes several days to complete, then jump to 0.0 and pvp while the skill trains up.

Yes you have to stop the skill before you jump.
The only way I am aware to hazve implant trainning time with a non implant clone is to get podded while wearing the implants. Untill you stop the skill or it finishes it will use the implant timer. Once you start a skill or restart it, it will recalculate with whatever implants or lackthereof is in your head. ------------ This is not War... This is pest control - Dalek Sek

You train with whatever clone you are using at the moment. So if you jump into a jump clone that has no implants you are now training at that clone's speed. Since it has no implants, you will be training slower than you were in your other clone. Keep that in mind when using jump clones. You could be losing a couple hours worth of training time for that clone (unless you put implants in each clone :) ). ------------------- 4 8 15 16 23 42 108 |

Actually this is no longer true. It now recalculates after downtime, so at most you'd get 22 hours and 59 minutes of implant level training in an implantless clone. I've seen this from personal experience, it's not a forum myth.
