Thanks. :)
Eve Idol is over, I didn't win. Grrr!
But my stuff will be around - I'll get the rest of the stuff out soon; now that I can splice tracks I need to rework some of the stuff I already did.

*laughing* The contest wasn't rigged. It was very poorly designed. Instead of having an "Eve Idol" contest, the DJs could just as well have said on the air "Whoever can get the most people to send me an EVEmail in the next 5 minutes gets 1 bilion ISK." That's what happened for EVE Idol; talent was unrelated to the contest - the winner got all his corp to vote for him; when the results were announced the Eve Radio channel rioted because no one actually listening to Eve Radio voted for him, and to be honest...his act was terrible. In fact, I auditioned for Eve Idol in the first place on the strength of having heard his "Eve Idol winning entry" from last year and thought to myself, "Wow...easy money coming my way."
*AHEM* WHATEVER NOW. Enjoy my music, I've reworked some of it, just heard the most AWESOME AMAZING track ever called "Technologic" by Daft Punk, and an Eve-Online version of it is on the way as soon as I can get a backtrack for it. In fact, if anyone can find a backtrack of Technologic without words in it, I have ISK for you. Lotsa ISK. Well, relatively speaking.

This is because you're not listening to the right shows.
Yes, and as to the system being flawed, I think you will recall even we were shocked by the winner. As with anything though you learn from mistakes. In the original Eve-Idol the problem we had was people trying to vote multiple times to stack votes in someone's favor. We got through it, and the end result was close, we as judges also had a small say in who ended up winning. This time around, one of the finalists was in the same Corp as 2 of our mains, and a 3rd judge was in the same alliance. We did not feel it was fair to have a hand in picking the winners, nor did we want for people to even think we might have played favorites if our corp/alliancemate ended up winning anything (as things stood he didn't end up winning anything) so we left it to listener voting... sadly the system did not take into account someone having a ton of friends to pad their votes... and this time around since we didn't have a rule against that, he did technically win, even though his performance really ranked a 4th place at best.
I can guarantee when Eve Idol 3 comes around this fall, padding votes with friends will not be an issue... and after Torrent nearly ripped his chest from his ribcage in that duct tape stunt I'm thinking we'll probably ban webcam stunts as well.

Oh how bitter a loser we are, Curzon. I was perfectly happy to keep it civil when your childish whining was limited to eve-mail, but then you bring it to EVE-O.
I think it's wonderful how you feel you can freely drag other people through the mud. Quit your childish whining. At the time of the contest, you were in a corp of over 1100 people. I simply told my alliance-mates that I'd be on EVE Radio for the competition, and that they should listen in. You make this sound like some evil master plan to usurp your rightful place as the EVE Idol winner, but it's just not the case, and you're making some rather sweeping assumptions. Nobody from the EVE Radio channel voted for me? There were more than 350 people in that channel when my voting came up. My first EVE Idol entry actually brought new listeners from MC to EVE Radio, and I wouldn't be surprised if this one did, too, provided your petulance hasn't turned them off.
As for slagging the quality of this entry, I freely admit that it wasn't my best work. This time, I think my semifinals entry was my best. Another fact you conveniently ignore is that, in order to get to the finals, I had to be passed forward by the judges not once, but twice, so get off your high horse.
Last week I made a thread in this very forum with my semifinals entry (Baby Got Loot), which received all sorts of praise during and after the contest. I specifically invited you, in that thread, to add your work, which I quite enjoy, to it, but instead you start your own thread, and go on a spree of self-aggrandizement at my expense.
You've challenged me to a 1v1, stating that you'd rather settle it in space, but the simple fact is that I don't take 1v1 offers.
Get over yourself. Your music is good, and clever, but this slanderous crap is just making me lose even more respect for you. STFU.

This is the kind of stuff they show on TV. Except normally it's two *****y girls fighting.
I don't honestly care who is right in this. I haven't heard Crovan's singing, someone link me, but I have heard Curzon's and as a singer myself I can provide the following review:
Your pitch is excellent. I hesitate to say "nearly perfect" because I am not that familiar with the songs, but you didn't ever seem to have any issues with the notes.
Your timing seems a bit off, usually a half of a beat or less, but distracting regardless.
Your intonation is okay, but it does bother me a bit. I can never quite nail what someone's doing to make their intonation sound better or worse, but it doesn't sound as clean as it should, methinks.
Keep in mind of course that I'm not claiming superiority in any such category. You definitely have me on pitch, which is the most important (and most obvious/easiest part for non-enthusiasts to understand) but I consider myself to have excellent timing and good intonation on everything but my high notes.

Update: I ****in love this. This one (Dax is back) was fantastic. Be proud you're going on my iPod NOW. I don't know how else to say it, this is friggin great! I mean, the non-rap parts didn't sound too good, but the rap more than made up for it...if I had any less control I would have screamed "**** yeah!" about fifteen times during your newest song.
If you can sing in falsetto, though, I would like to hear a MJ cover, I feel like it'd be amazing.
Will someone please link me to a song or two by this Corven guy who won last time? I want to hear if he's even close to Dax...

Well we're about to see whether I stay his fan...it's all about how YOU do in the song I'm currently downloading.
I'm assuming it's a rap, a parody of Baby Got Back. Do you have any...musical songs...with notes? For two reasons:
1) Rap is great, and takes a lot of skill, but I want to hear you SING! 2) You'll be hard put to match up to Curzon's raps in cleverness.
