Heard that you lost ~10mil from a friend ingame, but didn't see the forum post.
Now that i've seen it....hooooooooly mother of cows. There are no words to describe it..... I would have gone on a ridiculous pirating spree out of pure hatred of not having a scanner after that. -------

Since when? I've done it plenty of times.
Maybe it was patched then.... sorry
Now you know.
And knowing is half the battle.
This would explain why I'm usually 51-53% ready for a fight.
Please tell me how you got that figure. Lmao.

Edited by: Ginger Magician on 16/03/2007 14:07:36 Lot of ignorance on this thread. Cargo scanners do not scan inside secure cans in cargoholds. This was a viator moving at close to 1000m/s plus having built in+2 warp core strength. Its not a good idea to ransom the members of certain alliances who almost without exception logoff while still cloaked at the gate after jumping into one of our camps. Yesterday we were very lucky to take out a maelstrom who did just that.We were fortunate to have a high dps sniper that time but that dont always happen.
Us pirates who are constantly monitored and heavily censored and nerfed by CCP have to watch everything that we do and say with the utmost caution whereas those who constantly and deilberately exploit every possible aspect of the game mechanics get away scott free. You only have to recall the recent thread of my ban as an example of this.

Oh and Tiller, you know that this loss is going to get petitioned and the new 'we reimburse everything' style of the GM's is going to mean the guy gets all his loot back if he mentions lag? Yeah, you got greifed son
Wait, uhm, they reimburse stuff?
I've never had that happen :P Heck, a friend of mine got a tech II bpo blown up in empire due to an exploit, guess what, he didn't get reimbursed either.

I just vomited in my mouth. Poor guy probably fainted at the keyboard when the realization hit that he was toast. Good job though, that was a nice one time isk sink. Talk about the over powering urge for instant gratification, what was that guy thinking?! Go the long way ffs.

The GMs seem to have recently changed their attitude towards reimbursement it seems, from one extreme to the other.

We all know who it was, there's only one entity in EVE that farms both 10/10 angel and 10/10 sansha complexes. You just cost someone 3 weeks of complex farming, their pay for 3 weeks, and maybe even their life.... BWAHAHAHAHA.
Notice how none of a certain alliance are posting here? It's very easy to figure out who it was.

We are the only pirate camp in Eve where this guy would have lost his ship and yes he was podded as well.Since this little effort we have had quite a few red alliance noobs tyring to steal loot from us without success ofc.I guess those paymasters are a bit unhappy with snowy atm.
As a side note while I am here Snowy is still recruiting the famous and not so famous to its ranks. If interested plz join channel 'OCTOBERSNOW' in game for a chat.
The great uber pirate Ginger, who is so uber, as this kill points out, he managed to get lucky and pop a hauler at a gate (wow!) Unfortunately for October Snow, and the great uber bag of hot air who is the CEO, this genius kill of a hauler via gate camp (snowy is the first in eve to ever accomplish this) resulted in the complete destruction of everything of value in said hauler.
But, hey, they got the pod!

Logoffski Ginger?
Logoffski Tiller most definately. Carrier and capital gate camps in low sec? Need I say more? Double standard strikes again, though, I must say... it is innovative for Ginger to accuse people who get away from his carrier camps of "exploiting." No?

That sucks m8 :( On the bright side tho you have made a huge blow agains this allaince whom's name cant be mentioned here (why mods why???).
And you defo got one of the best killmails of the year, Grats on that.
One issue tho that CCP should take notice is hauler loot, why haulers could not use different sort of cargo bays , and 99% of their mods/cargo would survive just so piracy could have even some sort of RP element in it, as shootting haulers is more of a RP element and less of a PVP situation. Should pirates not be rewarded as mission runners do? |

Abit off topic don't you think Karl ?... 'zomg a snowy thread must flame them'
We are one of the few pirate corps with the balls to field cap ships on a daily basis. Others I've spoken to about the tactic say it's too risky.
You speak like a carrier is a gate camp super weapon, it's just a support ship, and a very vulnerable one at that
