Frankly for all we know dusk soldiers don't even have a gender as they are essentially modified clones bred for the battlefield.
hence masculine traits should be prevalent as it makes more sense in that perspective. |

true but maybe thats just the first gen clones/soldier, i have read the chronicles.
maybe i want to spend more $$ for a different body eh?
we get to walk around the barge mass effect style with our face showing so there must be some sort customization.

but yes armor could look different for females.

If you're stealth then why are you wearing heavy armor in the first place? Isn't that counter intuitive tot he whole "light and agile" thing?
And who said the needed to be using a big AR? Couldn't they use a light carbine or SMG with a silenced pistol as back up?

Read the blog about the handheld weapons... even a pistol would melt your fillings w/o a shield.

The only difference that could make a difference between men and women could be that women consume less oxygen due to their lower ratio of muscular mass. But physically... well, here in my corner of world firefighters must meet very strong physical requirements, and guess what? the same tests that push off 90% of the male candidates, also push off 100% of the female candidates. Female candidates are asking to be given either a lead, or to diminish the physical requirements (but that's gonna be difficult, as there are like 90 candidates for each position and the physical test is key to filtering the best). |

Those are not dust clones though those are mind control bodies (which may be clones as well we dont know yet)
Dust clones are all copies of the same generic human super soldier ( think storm troopers) the only real difference is that minds are downloaded into the bodies and the infromorphic presence takes charge until the body expires or is no longer needed.

So did I, and considering the kind of technology in those suits i don't think it'd be too bad for a female to wear a slightly scaled back version of the assault suit with high CPU and low powergrid or something with a bit of the servo tech to make it into an exoskeleton that gives the wearer more speed and agility.

Yes snipers are known to be a lttile 'limp wristed' all that playing with there 'scope' most likely. Hardley reinforces your idea females make good front line troops. They just aren't physically strong enough to carry the immense weight of equipment and perform to the physical abilties a man can achieve..

Based on what one of the characters in the novels does, I'd say they probably have two "bodies"
One is their normal avatar, unique and immortal, male or female.
The other is the stock combat clone, which is male, roided the **** out, expendable, and most importantly cheap.
Chillin in station? You're in your normal body. Dropping into combat? You're in a cheap combat clone. I certainly wouldn't waste my money on fancy things like making my clone match my face when it's just going to get shot up in 5 minutes.
Edit: Also, the whole "women can't go into combat" argument is stupid, on both sides. Fact is: Male body is built with more direct-combat capability, the better to fight off predators, or delay them while the female escapes with the offspring. It's our evolved role. Women are lighter on their feet, more difficult prey to catch. Their evolved role. Both of these roles can play out effectively in combat, but they're still different roles. Like comparing a Scorpion to an Abaddon. |

Women make excellent pilots as well, consistently scoring higher than their male counter parts in many area's. So perhaps you'll see a woman piloting your drop ship, covering your ass while you off load, or perhaps driving everything from a scout car to a heavy tank... which means it would probably be a bad idea to make the obvious "women driver" wise cracks until you are safely back in the lobby after a match.

Okay, in the same vein.
(Why does there seem to be gender war going on lately?)
Anyway ... women generally have better eye sight and a better power to weight ratio and since they store energy about their body better, that also means they can eat less - all criteria that is at the top of the list for special forces.
