continued from old forum.
So far we have had AkitaT and Amarr Citizen 155 reply and a new addition just recently: AnakieNine
his original post:
"Why not, I haven't played properly for months.
My name is An-a-ke Nine I'm a reformed trillionaire...
First off, from my experience there are not as many eve trillionaire's as players like to think. I spent around 4 years tring to exclusively dominate the Amarr regions most worthwhile trades lines. Amarr has more solar systems and stations than any other in eve and perfect since I like a challenge. Amarr has pretty much always been the 2nd-4th largest economy in eve. So it was the one I saw as having the most potential. Over the time I played I made around 800b from general trading and in the later stages made roughly 500b from building/manufacturing using a heap of accounts. The last 1T I made was the hardest in so many ways. It came from speculating like Ataki T and was the hardest because Tying up isk for up to a year burns you out.. Even if you stagger it over 50 items and 1-2 a week. Only those taking a break from the game or with with large asset/isk that they dont use can do it properly. Ask Ataki T how much richer he would be if he waited until now to sell his investments. Instead of having something around 450b it would have been almost 1T by now.
I talk Nav, not ISK. Nothing else matters. Real Traders are always going to be isk poor and don't have large sums of isk on hand. They always re-invest and turnover as much as possible as often as possible.
The last time I calculated all my accounts NAV it was around 2.5T. That excluds 1000's of BPO's, and a nice little collection of T2 bpos collected because they are rare. It also doesn't include all the special items from contracts. i.e faction loot and things like that.
Most of the players I see that seem to be Trillionairs are old players that made their isk during a time when ccp and the game mechanics allowed for it. Some made it by luck as CCP changed things, however most imo eventually came from being around the time when the T2 lottery existed. Those players that collected T2 BPO's back then did very well. CCP has since worked towards changing the mechanics that allow individual players to make large sums of isk. They changed the way they do things imo. Therefore do not expect many more new players to pop up with 1000b+. Personally I wouldn't be surprised if I was one of the last to bridge the gap. At a peak I was turning over 100b a day. There was a year I was turning over 30-40b a day just to make a couple of billion and kill of any other opposition/traders. Basically it was a case of if you can why not. Eve-mails where often interesting. At the time I just wanted to dominate the market in the Amarr region. It wasn't specifically to make isk. The only reason for making isk was to make it easier for the next round of trading and picking things ups. Remember I was a regional trader and happy to pay jita buy order prices or more. In the end it was my way to keep out 99.5% of other players out and allowed me to minimise the 0.01 games so I could work on the next product group or the next product.
T3 was very good in the early days. At a time when Jita was the only place selling T3, I decided to use 100b to push product out to regional hubs. Specifically Amarr. On the days I worked T3 instead of my normal market I was making 5-10b a day from around 10-20b sales. Easily 50% profit. It was a case of not enough players with skills to build for supply. I was lazy and didn't like T3/invention. I plan for T3 and had 6 characters trained for t3 ship building in a month of release. At the time I had heavy competition from a corp/group of players trying to take over lots of Amarr markets. So I left T3 for weeks at a time deciding to keeping my normal trades to myself against the heaviest trade opposition I have ever had in eve. I should have pushed T3 for what it was worth. I guess they are the choices you sometimes have to make. So only only made 300b-450b off T3 instead of really crazy figures for the time.
Excuse all the typos etc I am always lazy on forums." |

Well the idea is to showcase people who HAVE isk not those who lost ISK.
Currently in your bank account if you have more then 2 trillion you should post here, otherwise marvel and drool at others fortunes.
So far the top three are:
1. Akita T 2. AmarrCitizen 155 3. AnakieNine |

I would speculate that Chribba and Entity should be in that list as well if we are talking about NAV instead of just pure liquid isk. Perhaps DigitalCommunist as well although have not heard about him for a while. |

IIRC Anakie beat Akita by at least a couple of orders of magnitude.
Akita said her NAV was approx 450B IIRC? Whereas Anakie said the max he got to was 2.5T

If I had to guess at a couple of names not mentioned who should be on the list based on how long they have been around and how active they have been in the markets over that time, I would add Sing Laison Effei Gloom
I know of a few other characters I grouped up with in a private/closed eve chat group for a year. Those players said they were in the 300-800b mark however I wont say the names as they never publicly announced their wealth. These were very old, very long term players that are well known in eve for the areas of business that they participate in. Its part of my reasoning why there aren't as many Tillionaires as people believe. An opinion made, both by personal experience and from talking to others that I would consider close to teh mark..
btw. I just finished reading the latest QEN and I have to say I'm more impressed with this report than the previous one. It hints at little gems much better than the previous QENs. As a fun fact it lists my old main battleship building system of Safizon as the system in eve that produced more tonnes of goods than any other system in Eve. The most interesting part of that is the system of safizon has only one station... That's the station I produced BS in 23/7 for a few years. Always keeping those 50 lines running 23/7. I wonder what the real mega tonnes output would have been if I produced all my other goods in one system instead of using 4 different solar systems around amarr, BC's in one, T2 ships in another and so on.
Top Ten systems from the QEN are.
Quote: Solar System Mass Produced Region Safizon 3.2 Gt Domain Madirmilire 3.1 Gt Domain Itamo 3.1 Gt The Forge Amarr 2.6 Gt Domain Sobaseki 2.4 Gt Lonetrek Annaro 2.3 Gt The Citadel Muvolailen 2.3 Gt The Citadel Pakkonen 2.1 Gt Lonetrek Jita 2.0 Gt The Forge Onga 1.9 Gt Heimatar

My long term goal is to become a trillionair, however, just having started up my third account and suffering from trading burn-out, it's unlikely to ever happen.
NAV is at around 50 billion now. |

Where are you getting your information from, because it is mostly incorrect. Only Anakie is likely a Trillionaire of the three you mentioned, though I will say I would be greatly surprised if Anakie didn't have 1-2 Trillion under his belt given his history. Where did the quote from the OP come from anyway?

I found this part of the QEN very enjoyable as well. What is interesting here the market implications that information has. I haven't seen it yet, but it stands to reason if people are building in those systems, they need minerals. Might be able to turn a small margin in those systems by doing the transportation of minerals from the Hub to the system.
When I read that section I was in EVE and quickly had a look at the mineral market, it hasn't changed much, so it might already be filled. You're right thought, there was a lot of little GEMS in this QEN, more so than the past QENs.
