I suggest all of us look through local chat for war targets to see enemy, but that is realy diffucult in some BIG systems and annoying.
All of us ever watched movies ala "space ship in getting into battle..". And I remember there was always an alarm sound then their scanners noticed enemy or just another ship! So idea is to have sound and picture alarm on some pilot's specified event: war/"red blinking" targets in local/preview, specified pilot/corp in local/preview, etc.

ON the HUD below the your structure Levels. They could put some lights there. Red Yellow Blue etc
Let it look clear when not actived but have them appear when a hostile or something else shows up.
A sound too but some people don't use sound.

I'd like this option.
However;
If they are planning to remove local as a form of protection...

I believe Local in general is one of the lamest impediments to PvP ever devised. I don't think it needs any more unintended intel functionality.

not a bad idea. the message can be something like this "Alert, enemy (ship type here) on long range scanners recomend (favorite action here based on enemy ship type and yours)" Klaxon optional.

Yeah maybe carebears would like this idea, but if you want to attack someone or pvp, it makes sneaking up on them impossible. I mean it is still pretty much impossible now, because they can just look at local and see you, but this would make it ridiculously easy for anyone half asleep to wake up and instadock or safespot. There should definitely be no alarm for a hostile entering local, but i could see it if one entered your visible grid. I mean you fly big ships, I assume there are ensigns or to keep an eye on those operations.

I agree with this if a module had to be installed into order to make it work.
With that, you could have a module to be anti-detection.
And cloaked ships of course would not be subjected to it.

I always take issue with the "If we can't sneak up on unsuspecting mining barges, PvP in EvE will die!" counterargument, and this topic is no exception.
I think it should be tied to sovereignty and a POS module, giving the sovereign power updates on interlopers. The POS module could be used to get on-demand reports on which corporations have had members present in the system within the last, say, hour, and with sovereignty it adds bonus info, like times they were there or the race of their ships' sensors or their sig radius, so you can get a general idea that six guys from a corp you don't like passed through AB-12 in either battleships or cruisers--three Gallente, two Caldari and a Minmatar. Maybe it was three Hulks, two Bustards and a Mastodon on a ninja mining op, maybe it's a gank fleet, maybe they had ten Arazus on the team that don't show on your scan, but you've got some intel.
That would be cool, and it would justify ditching Local in 0.0.
On a tangent, I think POSes should play a legitimate and interesting role in every aspect of 0.0 life, since they're already so pervasive. They take a ton of time and money, and most of them give nothing back except to waste the time of invading fleets. Cyno generators, jump gate generators, fighter bays, scan probe launchers, repair stations, system scanners, and intel relays should all be made available for POSes.
