and it happened...
i was hunting pirates with my friend in belt.
then suddenly a guy Zoot jumped in a belt and destroyed my thorax. all my 1 month work went none. now i must start all over again.
that guy is a real hero,old man that killes newbies *applause*
if i could at least die in a big battle,but not like this. he laged me with drones and scrambled me. my thorax didnt want to warp.
how can i go sleep now??? im so damn angry and sad

He jumped in a belt and then lagged you with drones? Sounds like a poor excuse to me ....
The lesson is - it aint safe under 0.5 security.
You'll get over it ... don't lose sleep.

could jsut be my opinion but after over a month your NOT a n00b. Also you had a thorax which is hardly a n00b ship. To make things worse you probably were not in n00b space. There was nothing that sounds anything like n00b ganking anywhere in your story.

Yeah I know the feeling I just lost my Thorax in 0.1 space Lagged by atsteroids and 3 NPC blod reavers (or whatnot. Damn ship wuddent warp, just sitting there taking hits.
Wasn¦t even equipped for fighting only minin gear on. Damn that new lagwarp.
word of advice though; allways use instawarp bookmarks to get away from trouble.

What happened to your friend?
2v1 with both of you equiped for fighting sounds fair to me. 
Its a typical 'all eggs in one basket' situation, had you stuck to 1.0 a little longer and mined for insurance, you would have been fine, common sense really.

Another N00b in a ship they can't even handle yet. There is a difference between flying a ship and using it properly.
First, You are in a Thorax, one of the most powerfulest cruisers on Eve. If I saw one I would attack it too.
Second, A hard price to learn about insurance. Whenever venturing out of 0.5 space it is highly advised to buy insurance for your ship. Also, if you can not insure your ship you don't need to be in it.
Hope you get over the loss. If not I have another Thorax laying around for sale.

Train drones to lvl 5 and Drones Interfacing to lvl 3 before going hunting bud. You got schooled. Lesson learned. Next time insure your cruisers.

The way the patch has made the game run now, i would say most ships are threats

Im getting tired of people saying they were lagged. If your too close to an asteriod of course you wont warp away ... your stuck ! did you not have a mwd on either or boosters ! you crazy noob.

i just told my friend to get out as quickly as possible. if you would lost it after 1 month of hard work without insurance i think you would feel the same.
regarding asteroid stuck,this is so stupid to me. you are 5 km away from asteroid and you get stuck...pathetic.

Ok - Mr. N00b!
I tell u how i lost my first cruiser: i attacked some other players in Pator. At that time there were no sentry guns there. Some police ships spawned near me, so i jumped through the gate i was camping (this was possible before whiners like u "changed" this game). At the jump-in i wanted to check my map but it was bugged. So i relogged fast and found myself surrounded by police ships. I was warp scrambled and my Moa had only some armor left. I was frustrated for 1-2 days but then i found out that pirates life is great and there is a lot to learn about this game. The most important thing i learned was: 1.0 systems arent good for me. U should learn that 0.1 systems arent good for u and u should have learned that flying into or to close to roids can be lethal. U should also learn that playing a game without any risk to loose anything is boring like playing a tabletop with ur 103 year old grandma. Unfortunally it is possible to play EVE without any risk of losing a single ISK - it is still possible, even with the new patch.

When i lost my first cruiser i dindt whine **** all i did was to go into my frig and started to mine again.
Thoraxes lost:4
Frigs: 3-5
BB lost: 7-x
Bs lost: 0
But i can afford losing my ships.

well said lifewire...i dont bother soo much anymore. but i still remember that nice shinning first! cruiser
yep i learned a lot yesterday... i think its much more fun to play eve. i still have much to learn
