Is there any difference between Agent Standing and agent Quality? Some guidance would be appreciated seeing as the manual says bugger all about the subject.

I would really like to know this to. I wanna make all my agents happy so I don't care about the quality/standings right now. Only lvl1 agents anyway. And I just do missions with all of them..
Haven't noticed any differance at all. Could anyone elaborate what Agent Quailty does?

Wild guess here.
Agent Standing is between you and the Agent, it is how likely the Agent will give special missions and referrals, it may even affect your reward.
Agent Quality is the standing between the Agent and his/her corp, in the event of a referral it will affect the Level, Quality and Corp of the next Agent.

what xane said.
I'm pretty sure standing has an effect, because I have an excellent standing with my lvl 2, and I get huge rewards for 'quick' finishes. (20k for job, 25k for bonus reward), and she'll give me a new agent every 20 or so jobs.
But I'm also empathy 11 and social 3, 10.00 standing with corp, and 3.5 standing with faction. So who knows. .

What does that mean? That an Agent with low quality is more likely to give you another agent with even lower?
So far this has been true for me, the new agents I've been getting have allways been of lower quality that the one that refered me.
If so, how do I gain an agent with higher quality rating?

When Agents refer you to others, they will probably be more likely to refer you to an Agent of the same quality, but there is a small chance it could be higher or lower.

Yes I think it's just luck.
A -13% agent just refered me to a +17% agent.

here a theory:
If your agent is +0% standing, he will send you to a fellow agent in 16 days. (or whatever the 'average' wait is)
If he is +20, then maybe you will get the offer at, say 13 days.
And if he is -20%, then maybe it will take 19-20 days.
I think the quality of the new agent is random though, as is the location, and also the corp. .

I think it's mostly luck, but the quality and standing are used as modifiers.
I had a -13% quality, +9% standing agent give me a +17% qual +9% standing agent.

After some very basic testing it seems that my idea was more or less right. My +17% agent gave me a new agent at 17-ish missions.
The last couple of nights, I've been woriking on an agent from a different corp, -14% lvl1. It took over 25 missions before she granted me a new agent. As luck would have it, it was *another* lvl4. So now I have 2 lvl4 agents. And I can't use either of them until they are properly activated.
6 lvl 1, 5 lvl2, 2 lvl4. But no level 3 guys. :/ .

Does charisma or some other social skill affect agents?

K to help a little bit out, empathy (Charisma) and social help a lot with your standing to the agent.
Negotiation gives xtra cash when doing a job well.
And for the agent quality thick of it, like starting at a new job when you start you have to prove yourself, the same i have seen with agents in my corp, the more ppl did complete missions for the agent the more his quality was raised!
Could be the fix to the agents and missions though!

Drunkenmaster, I have to disagree with your theory. I have a lvl 1 agent that is a quality +15% and the Standing is +7%. The Corporation standing for this agent is at 2.0% of which I think is max you can get from a lvl 1 agent. Anyway, I have done 40 missions for this agent and have yet to get a referal for another agent. I think the Agent referal is totaly random and based on luck IMHO.

Agent quality: reward adjustment (mission with base reward of 20k would yield 23k if the agent quality is +15.) |
