Infact as it stands, it sure looks like the RA 'diplomat' did the right thing. Besides, the job of the diplomat is to ensure via dialogue that the interests of the alliance he is representing are upheld. For all we know RA had decided that your alliance would be -ve before they even opened up the convo.
