How about you show us how it's done?
Average life expectancy in the west is >70 years for males. You have, probably, at least 40 years... How about it?

Im 19 and been playing games since i was 12. I have a job, go to uni, play rugby, paintball, fishing. I go out regularly to nightclubs. I keep myself fit. When i was 12-15 i rarely went out with my mates or did anything at all. MY parents were worried about me because i didnt socialise. You just need to realise when its time to do something about your life. No matter what you look like. I used to be a little fat hobbit, now i look after myself, dont smoke, drink or take drugs... exept when i have a headache. I was in a similar situation, not as serious as yours but now, when i meet people ive not seen for like 6 or 7 years they say oh my god you have changed. You just need to leave your computer alone. The way i did it was i smashed my computer up when i was 15. A bit drastic i know but i was so frustrated with how my life was going i had to do something about it. You need to start by doing something you like, you will begin to meet new people and your life will change.
Hope this helps, i know i sorted my problem out when i was young but thats all the advice i can give. .

I am 47 been married for 27 have 6 kids, 2 dogs, unkown amount of cats (buggers are fast) chickens, ducks, and geese. I spent my younger years doing things most of you only seen on t.v. And I am THE casual player of Eve. I spend less the 4 hours a week playing. But spend alot of time at work here in the forums.
I refuse to have a game rule my life, so I dont get into Eve as much as I used to. Matter of fact, if my friends stop logging on I would also.
Get out and see the world while your young, and able to enjoy it friends. Later years in life, the pains and aches will catch up to you. Your energy level will drop with age. Dont let on line games make you a 350lbs single 35 year old man with long greasy hair.

OH SQUIRT ME SOME TEARS!!!!
Imagine being a 8yo girl in africa sold to a man as a wife so he can cure himself of aids by using you. THEN tell me how bad your life is. You are young enough to change it, and if you can't you're just pathetic, and should just go away.
I am 35, married, no kids, one cat, a promotion in work, which means a move to another city and own my own home. I am also a diabetic, who is overweight, with a degenerative dissolving of my upper spine, and two fused virtebrae in my lower back, severe calcification in my shoulder and vatritus.

I really agree with that...
I may be lame for living at home at age 33 to the social norm (I really don't care, lol), but as evidenced by my sig, I'm a very busy man, and working to build my own home as opposed to buy or rent... I absolutely refuse to rent (which is what most ppl in my case would be doing)
I guess as long as one is relatively happy with their life, you should not let others get you down. If you're a productive person, and not a total couch potato, you can do what you want really. Actually, I get along better with people who are non-conformists like myself... Anyone can do the college-marriage-kids stuff (YUCK!), nothing special there IMO... Not many have the opportunity to do what I'm doing...
But yes, I neglected social interaction all throughout my 20's, I had school to put myself through, and that's where 100% of my attention was... Plus I'm not someone who needs to make a lot of friends, I really don't care to have more than 1 or 2 good friends...

In England, it's not uncommon to hear of people becoming mothers at the age of 15 in certain areas. Youngest I've ever heard of was 12, and it made the national news.
As for me... I'm 22, living with my parents, solid decent paid job, nice car, no kids (I'm handicapped by natural immaturity and don't consider myself even close to mature enough to be a father) and a girlfriend with great boobies, also a total petrolhead and games addict who I'm trying to wean off World Of Warcraft and into Eve. (yay for stealing her Aurora m9700 laptop to play Eve in bed )
Life is what you make of it, I've had some bad stuff happen to me too, the trick is learning to take it, and bounce back.
btw, any advice on the whole getting GF into Eve thing would be great... I actually got her to log in once... alas, twas not to be that time.

Congratulations Karat, you've taken the first step towards improving your life. You have identified the things that make you unhappy. The next step to start changing those thing. Take small steps and slowly you will notice your quality of life improve.
So for starters, get rid of the ungrateful cat!
Look after your health, start eating more healthy foods. Start doing some exercise, whether it's going to the gym or taking up a sport. Instead of getting the bus to the dole office, walk or cycle. If your body is healthier, your mind will be too.
As you start getting out more, you will come in contact with more women, thus improving your odds of getting a girlfriend. Maybe sign up to an Internet dating agency.
What sort of job do you want to do? Look around and see what's available, you might get lucky. If you need qualifications for the job, well that's not impossible. There are many ways to get qualified these day.
Then after a hard day improving your life, you can kick back an play Eve.

Interesting subject....
Some of these comments are funny, you guys ***** me up.
I do agree with a lot of what people have said here so I wonÆt repeat it all.
First of all, I could be just like you, if not worse, IÆm only 26 but my life is really crappy at times too. I have no brothers or sisters, no parents (alive), no girlfriend, and most of the time no friends (cos half the mofo's sleep with my g/f's) but I guess at least I still have my health and a pretty good job.
Computer games can seriously screw with your life, especially if youÆre playing them during exams or when youÆre supposed to be studying, like I did when I was in school. I have 3 year old son and I wonÆt ever let him play on computer games as much as i did, especially not during school years. I donÆt want him to turn out the idiot I did lol.
There is nothing wrong with Eve, just donÆt revolve your life around it. I know when your lonely this can seem quite difficult as you make a lot of friends on this game.... and as for girlfriends, well their mainly more trouble than their worth, save yourself some money and use your hand.
One of my corp mates has actually met his girlfriend on Eve and now they live together (I think). And I once got the number of a girl who was watching one of my corp mates play, when she heard my accent on TS, we got chatting etc. etc.... although nothing really came of it, it just proves that there is chances, however remote, to meet girls through Eve lol. But thatÆs kinda beside the pointà
You should get a good education > get a good job > get a fat house > a fat car... then everything else just falls into place. Set small achievable goals, stick to them and you'll be fine.
