Me and my corp have been flying nothing but Amarr in PvP since the start of EVE and we have always managed to fight and win effectively with them. ------

Caldari and Amarr shine in fleets.
Caldari ships in particular are excellent at everything except solo piracy, if anything they are still overpowered.
You know you can armor tank caldari boats and take advantage of the mid slots.
Amarr ships are great. On defense they are tank gods. Lasers prolly need to use less juice.

Originally by: Lunfal Caldari are fine for pvp, besides If you made them more powerfull why would we need to play anything else? they already compose 70% of the population because of their strong pve side.
And amarr need an allround boost, they arent really great for pve either. If anything is em resistant you might as well pack up and go home. So they need a general boost not a pvp one.

That's quite a few ships that are all very worthwhile to use in pvp. In fact, I see them lots.
...
Doesn't it bother you that of the 14 caldari ships you named, over half of them are T2 ships.
...and yes, we do sell and deliver ammo. 425 Express Delivery is available upon request, please see Hans Gates and Marcus Grisbius regarding this option. |

Originally by: Mastin Dragonfly Problem with giving Caldari more mids so they can fit tackling gear is that it makes them even stronger for PvE where they can use those extra mids to boost their tank to silly numbers, we don't need more Drakes.
With my fitting skills all at 4 or 5 there is precious little PG or CPU left on my Drake for much of anything. so from my experience and knowledge of the Drake/Ferox/Knighthawk you have little worry about increasing the "insane tank"
Furthermore, and Insane tank is only half-way to a really effective ship. If any ship is lop-sided in its loadout you may be able to tank any mission (big whoop) but if I need to lock down a hostile and don't sacrifice some tank for a webber/scrammer I am forced to fight defensivly only. I will make very few decisions about how when or where the fighting takes place. I will be constantly fighting on an agressors terms.
However, to off-set that drawback, There is a fair chance I won't be called primary and if I do, I will be able to withstand an alpha-strike from most small gangs that might turn to me.
The Destruction of your ship is usually preceeded by the thought,"I think I will try somthing a little different this time...." |

What Rod Blaine said! There are plenty of very capable PvP ships in that Caldari and Amarr fleets. Learn to use them right instead of falling into the same predictable "nerf this, boost that"-patterns that have been seen since 2003.

The zealot doesn't get enough love either. A guy in our corp has a zealot that is pretty much unbeatable in solo/small group pvp. OFC it has the same problems that all HACs have, but in general it farking melts face.
