changed to show Pure Blind as contested between MC and D2.
The one I'm looking at shows a war marker, not a contested region. Compare this to the automated influence map, and it's apparent that MC isn't yet contesting the region. Whether they actually do or not depends on what they and their masters decide to do.

IIRC from that mc post (i am to lazy to re-read it) no one made an offer to the MC to attack BoB.
1. -A- attacked the MC, which places them on the same side as BoB in the war. 2. BoB hired the MC AFTER theye were attacked by -A-. 3. MC are now attempting to acheive goals as set by BoB
Now when someone hires the MC, they are ment to provide them with a specific list of goals, eg. elliminate the POS in this system, provide us with cover while we anchor ours, assist our forces with defending our POS's and finally help us to claim that particular outpost.
^^ That is an offer to them MC, something that is not is: attack bob and win the war or attack bob and keep your space.
No one but BoB and the MC know the specific terms of the agrement struck so the MC have some 0.0 space to call home. It could be that no matter what, BoB will view any contract made by the MC, even to attack BoB is purley business.
That is what i have learnt after browsing these forums for a some time now, you would think anyone would know this, but instead prefer to come up with half baked conspiracy theories that have been on the forum for some time.

I'm not trying to flame you, I'm just giving you my two cents.
I don't really know if MC would have ever actually taken an offer to go against BoB. They were offered money to attack BoB during the ASCN War but did not take it. However, but that was only between BoB and ASCN and did not involve the rest of the EVE galaxy as it does now. If MC was ever going to take a contract against BoB, now would've been the time since there were so many alliances lined up against it.
That being said, just because MC joined BoB's side and became anti-coalition due to -A-'s hostile incursions into their space does not mean that MC has to limit their involvement to solely fighting -A-. This is a galaxy wide war, and MC likes to blow things up. When they side they were joining BoB they didn't say "but only to fight -A-." They joined them wholesale, which means every coalition member is a valid target.
MC is also not interested in controlling additional territory, so there's really no reason to attack neighboring alliances over distant alliances. ----------------------------------------------------

so basiclly what you are saying is something along the lines of "No MC, you are not allowed to go north and attack, stay down south and attack -A- ."
Nice spin though, but I doubt -A- wants to be the norths meatshield. go fight your own battles instead

you're so stupid... i can't help but cry at this statment. I havn't seen one member of the Northern Coalition post here yet you numbskull. Furthermore I'm not saying i want MC to attack -A- but i think their lack of action against -A- points to a logn term plan and agreement with bob. By fighting/defeating D2 in Pure Blind, MC reduces overall pressure on its client and its allies, allowing them to prosecute a more aggressive and successful war in the south. So, if as you suggest, the objective ought to be attacking -A-, this indirectly accomplishes that to some extent.
your assuming a load of stuff there. and if we where to really believe MC and say that they truly where forced into this war by -A-, i dont see why MC wouldnt be goign as hard as it could after -A- unless they had a hidden agreement with bob from the begining.
Your entire post is based solely on the territorial map and not on any substantially new knowledge of the ongoing conflict. I was, once upon a time, part of MC, and because I grew to admire the way they comported themselves and did business, I sometimes post in their defense. As far as I know, there was no hidden agreement, only an alignment of powers that made the current contract a fait accompli. But I'm pretty sure this isn't a 'free' contract given how much is on the line, one doesn't just throw three moms and a Leviathan into the fray because omg we <3 BOB.
If you want to make this thread about MC being a BOB pet, spare us. That's been discussed to death. If you want to make it about strategy, ie, attacking D2 doesn't accomplish a useful objective because A, B, C, and attacking -A-/someone else does because D, E, F, then that's a good topic. Please elaborate. And also, aren't you a northern alliance? There's a real easy way to settle any grudge you have with them...

no im not in the northern coalition as such we happen to be blue with alot of the north, but we arnt at war with bob and pets. furthermore i have no problem with the north. ide like to see them kick bobs ass.
this thread was designed to make people think about the claims that -A- forced MC to align itself with bob and they would have much liked to "prove that they would shoot bob for the right price" which is a load of crap imo. The reason im posting this now is that now that MC has declared war on D2 in pure blind SCREAMS to me that there was a long term plan for this war and MC was never factored on the side of the coalition.

All I have heard from the OP and others of his alliance during this conflict is a sad and lonely plea to be noticed.
If you want to be a player in this conflict then get out of your Ibis and get involved, even if its just as a roaming gang in your enemies space doing what small gangs do. Please dont bring the fight here on the forums anymore because your skills are...lacking, to say the least.
Stop trying to fight someone elses war for them from the safety of your armchair. When we see you on the battlefield we will consider the import of your words and until then you are just blowing hot air. So to avoid embarrasing yourself and your alliance further I suggest you not post. Have a great day.

Edited by: spoon2 on 27/03/2007 07:09:27 MC are one of the best spearhead attack forces in the game, it makes sense for them to be used in the enemies homes as currently the Coalitions attack isnt strong enough for all BoB forces to be needed in Bob space, me senses you don't like having cap fleets in your home. I'd advise you move.

The automated influence map is NOT a political map. Read the original post for the method the java program uses to define the influence region.
The fact is that MC has started assaulting the northern regions already wether or not they've captured outposts in there (Relating to the automated influence map). That's why it's been marked like that.
That's the better side of player made maps. They can contain information that isn't visible in the ingame map data yet

Your guy has truncated us out of the fountain warzone in spite of the fact that we're living next door to you for HOW long now?
Hell, we even dropped POS's in G95 and you wouldn't have known that if Molle himself didn't blather on about it (and lie about the numbers they lost in the process).

It doesn't matter really. Suppose they are not BoB alts and they would take contract against BoB. This contract must be profitable for them so the price must include cost of all outposts they built in BoB space (because it will be lost), all the POSes there etc. The result: - cost of contract against any non-BoB entity: 1bil - cost of contract against BoB: 100bil
I don't know how much outpost costs and I don't know how much MC takes for contracts so those numbers are not exact of course.
The bottom line: contracting MC against BoB will be so expensive that it's cheaper to build a titan or two.

Allow me to answer the question for you.
It's a game, MC are doing what suits them, what you think matters not as you are a very small cog in the massive machine.
Does it matter why they are doing what ever they are doing?
Is it a shock that they are doing what they are doing?
Will you pointing towards the possible fact that they have allways intended siding with BoB, does not take a massive brain to work out why they are killing to D2.

Now the map shows clearly that -A- is no longer contesting MC space... so why has MC come so far from home to wage a war it was supposidly "forced" into. And now lets assume that -A- is still being aggressive which im sure they are. MC have gone to the end of the map to fight this war. im not sure how they figure -A- lives in pure blind.
From this information i believe its pretty obvious MC had no intention of fighting on any side buy bob's and furthermore that they where looking for any excuse to do their masters bidding and attack D2.
now you can all feel free to spam my eve mail with hatemail (which i got from a stupid bob guy last time i posted here) or you can try reason with me that by waging war on D2 in pure blind you are somehow killing -A- in catch/stain/impass
Why should MC have to justify anything, anything at all, that they do in this game to either you or anyone else?
