It's like the joke Atari played on the Unreal community when they released UT2004 in March and then said it was free to download on April first. Ticked off a lot of people mostly b/c the date of the comment was hidden so the reader had to know what the date was to get the joke. Would've loved to see the responses here if CCP Ginger had hidden the date of the original post.

As for hiring concord as protection, sounds ok but if everyone gets a concord body guard then what will be the point in going to low sec?, I go to low sec knowing full well that I may get ganked and destroyed and that is why I play, it ****es me off to lose a ship in low sec but it is exciting at the same time. Please, some more detail would be nice before this is made so.

April 1st was yesterday and april fool's jokes are supposed to be played pre-midday, but meh. The new Cloning system sounded a little off, but the insurance upgrade sounded sweet tbh til I read the exact details of how it was getting upgraded. Insurance really does need a serious overhaul, just not in the direction mentioned in the blog (Like out of insurance cover eve-mails getting sent once it expires instead of when you go look yourself when such an evemail is pointless). The thing that made me realise this was a late april fool's was the last bit about concord. CCP have always said that they prefer (both as a company and as players) the fighting and ganking that goes on in lowsec, so that one was kinda obvious. This is a sig... -- You think this guys post is nuts.... you should see his bio -- ... good, ain't it!

If this is not a joke... I cant honestly see how this would make eve better. As a carebear this would be awsome for me... but for everyone else? I like the idea of having a one time clone, just another isk sink really. Personally, Id rather have the ability to say where I end up (i.e. placing my clone) because that will get ride of sucide jumping. The ship idea and mods idea also a good move. The only problem with that is you MUST make it to were people in high sec pirating get nothing. If bank robbers get their car shot up in heist its not like the insurance company is going to give you money for another... you will just promote greifing. Here's where you went wrong. First death should cost you something, and that something is isk. (loosing implants) It shouldnt cost you time though because you can NEVER make up lost time which is why the first part of your idea was good, but dying should def cost you isk. Further you are def going overboard with the concord contracts... while I might hate pirates with a cold hard passion, they do provide risk to low sec areas. (thats pretty much it though, beyond that they add nothing to the game) The problem with what you are suggesting is where do you stop? How much of the game core do you change without ending up with a totally new game? Its seems foolish to me to offer concord contracts in 0.0, but how is the playerbase supposed to trust that you wont do something that foolish when you are suggesting to do such a thing in low sec? You have dropped the ball on so many occasions that the community is FINALLY starting to realize what most of knew all along. CPP is just like any other game company, you alienate your own playerbase. Just think about it for a minute, please.
