Yep, you've worked hard and it's time to put your real life aside for a few hours to enjoy some real space-like sci-fi action. Let's go and Log in.... but wait...(really, I said wait...), you're only #67 in queue but eventually you're logged in and overwhelmed with mind numbing time-sink choices. Oh bother, which will it be?
I like to compile a list and plug each into the Patience-O-Meter and choose one that makes the pleasure lobe zing with excitement. The results are in and it's high time we choose
1. Point A to Point B. Someone or something needs my attention 30 jumps away. Be there in 40 minutes, Yay!
2, Mission running. 5 gates, 80km between them, killing weak retarded predictable ships in a glitchy lagged out environment. Best of all is looting and salvaging those wrecks, yeah, just kicking back, travelling to each one to find worthless crap, nothing inside, or better yet, a frothy love note... "you failed to salvage this wreck" Hours upon Hours of fun!
3. Security Status Repair. No shopping at JitaMart for you, you're flagged to the entire universe! Yepperz, time to kill 52 Bazillion retarded predictable rats in a glitchy lagged out environment... Geez, all you did was podkill 3 filthy carebears in Empire
4. Mining. A poorly trained monkey can do this, but no, you deserve a repeative motion disease even more. The best part is the artistic skidmarks one gets from trying to take a crap inbetween the 3 minute laser cycle. PS, don't trip over the pee jar!
Hehe, there's even a time sink available when offline
5. Training... The monthly subscription fee is paid in full and you're not EVEN close to your gaming PC and it hit's you... The training of "Carrot on a Stick Level V" has just completed, "OMG, I'm losing training time!" Quickly you drop your most precious gift on Earth, "Real Life", and scramble to push the button before too much time is lost. Onoes!
Watch out for the Vikings, they'll come along and make all your favorite time sinks worthless with just a flick of the wrist.
Nerfed! 0_o You've been oogling them players, you know the ones with the Killer Setup, and as much as you hate to admit it, they pwnd you way too many times. That's it! You want in on the action. Months of training later you're all set, time to get some overdue revenge, but it's patch day... You spend 5 hours trying to download the update, but it just ain't happening (darn good thing you picked a long skill to train). Giving up on the update, you decide to kick back and read the patch notes. O_o (your eyes bulge like you been tossed out the airlock), there... in brilliant bold green reads "the Killer Setup issue has been addressed, we've reduced everything by 50%"..... your spine stiffens, your cheeks clench, curly hairs go straight, and you hear a drum tap and snare hit in the distance. Curses! A wild pack of drunken Vikings just nerfed you into the 10th Century without a battle axe!
Devine Intervention- The carpal tunnel surgeon advises you to stop, but you can't, you want real PVP action, and not against some consensual windowlicking-safespot-stabmonkeys. So you join a badass 0.0 alliance with gargantuan sized fleet battles. 1 week of strategically hauling your crap later, you arrive at your new home. It's showtime! This grand moment has literally taken years of time sinks to aquire the uber capital ship and skills to keep it afloat. The pressure is on, the fleet organizes in a record breaking 3 hours. Then, the big moment, an intense massive battle at less than 1 frame per second. You haven't a clue whats happening, you click like a madman but nothing responds. Gazing at your screen you're bewildered, nothing there is a fine example of the $3000 spent on a gaming PC, $60 premium broadband, or even the $15 performance challenged (yet pretty) chat program.
Yes Sir, Climb aboard the Stationary Bus full of Bozos, grab a carrot-flavored Party Favor and tell us your favorite time sink.

I guess training time is the worst for me. I don't even play at this point as I am waiting on a bunch of skills to finish and don't want to risk my +3 implants by actually playing the game until I get at least another 3 weeks worth of training out of them.
I know, it is sad, I am paying $15 a month to sit in a station and log in whenever I need to change a skill. 20 days and I can go out and play! It is a shame it is so hard to get jump clones solo.

Ohh yes.
Funny thing was... when those dasterdly things first surfaced and people started moaning... mission dev was in like flint... it will be looked at...(tactic, intentional or not.. allways seems to happen)
Year later... they were more prevelnet then ever.. even more added.
ofc by then.. mission dev is rather silent on the issue.. and ofc you have abortious trolls telling you your flogging the deadhorse if you dare mention it.....
Edit.. youre a funny guy anyway, post more/

Mindless ratting 4 hours straight to get that rusty ship and some duct-taped mods, only to be called primary while you: "(notify) An attempt is underway to activate the module. Please wait until that has completed.". Only way you get to know what actually happened was by reading the logs in the capture folder.
When you log in tomorrow you repeat the above.

This is by far the most perfect post I've ever read. Let's add a few..
1. Going out in your wonderful mining ship and realizing that lots of weird players with names like tzuihtyb, tzyughz, qzuiobm, and zizpuimf have already cleaned all the belts for you.
2. Patch day. Nuff said.
3. Gate camping until you have to hurt yourself to remember that you are still alive... is there a target yet? Oh God @#!? why?
4. CEOs. You know who you are. You take a little bit from every mining op and spend it on yourself. Now recruiting miners!
5. Warping without drones. Son.. of.. a...
and the final one for now...
6. All the lovely little pointless delays. Wait you have to finish talking with your gang first, 30 seconds... you are already halfway aBORED another ship, please wait 19 more seconds...

But now its just the Privateers. They waste more of my time than anything. I find myself playing less.
