3x ionsII,1x electron, 3x armor links mwd, injector, web, scrambler, sensor booster 2x rep, explo hardener, eanmII, dcII 2x aux nano pump
Decent setup for small gangs, but won't do wonders. It tanks like crazy if you abuse combat boosters and aren't cap killed too much. -------- I tanked D2 capital fleet and all I got was truncated Erebus mail.

After flying ALOT of eos I can say that my favourite setups are as follows:
For lvl4's: 7x 250 rail II's 10mn ab, 2x cap recharger II's, 2 trackingcomp II's 1 corpum a-type medrep (yes, it's necessary to do missions quickly), 2 magstab II's, explosive hardener II, eanm II Rigs: one CCC and one repamount This is with maxed out skills, for all missions (cba to switch hardeners since I take 4 missions at a time), could need a bit more cap in case of dodgy skills.
For solo pvp: 3-4 electron blasters, 3-4 nos (buy a lg talisman-set, they are very cheap) mwd, disruptor, web, injector and something ew-y (trackingdisruptor f.ex) 2 med-reps, 2 eanm II, explosive hardener riggs: 2 repammount
For group pvp I just fit about the same, only use only ionblasters in highs, and rigg for a tad more damage.

I dont see why you would fit Electrons when you can easily replace them with Ions without even touching to the rest of your fit.

For pve i would say a shield tank is a good idea. It sounds stupid because of the ships bonus's but it can field an emmense passive shield tank.
For pvp it's a pretty standard setup but work very well
4 ion II's 3 medium nos
mwd med injector disruptor web tracking disruptor/sensor booster/eccm etc
2 MAR II's 2 eanm II's dmg ctrl
2 rep amount rigs
mix of drones

I dont see why you would fit Electrons when you can easily replace them with Ions without even touching to the rest of your fit.
IIRC 4 nos = 3 electrons, it's possible 3 nos = 4 ions.

Hey pottsey,
I was running your setup on quickfit, and came up with 183 shield max regen per sec.
Resists were : 66 em, 72 explo, 89.5 kin, 72 thermal.
(This is assuming maxed out skills in everything)
I did not include any implants.
Can you break your numbers down for the "tanks 2000,3000,4000 dps" please?

Implants mean 20% extra hitpoints, 5% faster shield recharge and they bump up gang assist to 22.5% to all resistance. All 3 added together have a large impact on the tank.
My 3000+ DPS where only estimated based on my faction fitted ship. I did not work it out accurately. I figured more slots used up, but swap faction to T2 and tankable DPS would stay around about the same. Passive shield tanking guide click here |

I'm wondering how to fit a Level 4 EOS, as far as I read, you guys all fit injectors, it looks like the eos has no possible balanced fitting concerning cap regeneration vs cap usage of mods?
I tend to run out of cap boosters all the time...
I tested a fitting that had High 7x med ions II
mid 1x 10mn afterburner 4x cap recharger II
low 2x MARII 1x EANM II 2X Expl hardeners II
rigs: 2x aux nano pumps
drone sets: t2 heavy t2 med t2 light
now that gives me about 1150 hp every 9 seconds 24/7... (IIRC) that's a rather sustainable tank?
but when i turn on the turrets it will run out of cap so maybe drop a turrets and put on a nos will be a solution

Are you looking to perma run both MAR's? With 2 Nano Pumps could you get away with only 1 MAR? Or perma run 1 MAR and only use the second in emergencies? Try your fitting but with the second MAR deactivated and see what you can fit. :)

My Setup High: x7 Neutron Blaster IIs
Medium: Y-T8 MicroWarpdrive, Fleeting Webber, Warp Disruptor II, Medium Electrochemical Injector, (one variable slot) can fit Sensor Booster II/TD/Damp w/e.
Low: x2 MAR II, DCU II, EANM II, Exp Hardener II
Rigs: Aux Nano Pump + Anciliary Current Router (the 10% pg one or w/e)
Drones: w/e floats your boat.

1. Ive played with fitting one neut on sisi and it works alright I suppose. It takes you a long time to get to a bs though before it runs out of cap charges but you'll usually die in the end anyway. About gang links, you might be able to fit one but theyre gonna hit your cap hard. 2. I already fit all guns on Tranq. 3. My tank still holds up, anything you face shouldnt be alive long enough before you start to have problems by running out of cap boosters. 4. I dont fit nos right now.
Overall its gonna be very hard for any ship class with less cap to compete with bs simply because bs can fit heavy neuts and have more cap to slap you with along with a larger cargohold for even more cap boosters. Might as well grab a thron or something lol.

I was trying to do lvl 4's in my Astarte, but its probably me just getting my setup's wrong ( only tried it once and was drunk at the time ) but i couldnt seem to dish out lots of dmg, i could keep everything at range ( think i was using 250mm II's with Spike or Iron...) and ive shifted to my Hyperion to do them, but i prefer HAC's/Command ships to do most of my work.
But so far i wasnt having much look doing lvl 4's in the command ships ( its at lvl 4 btw).
Hmmm hope this helps & thanks for the idea's so far.

I just got mah new baby and i have fitted up
7 Ion II + void 10mn MWD II, MedBoosterII + 800s, Disrupter II, Fleeting WEb, Undecided on last mid. maybe SB maybe TP but dont understand people using TD wouldnt think it owuld be that effective 2x MAR II, EANM II, ExpHardener II, DCU II 2x Aux Nano Rigs 5x whatever drones.
If i changed the mwd II and booster II to best named i could fit on 2 neutrons but meh. a total of 7dps more really so fudge it i like keeping my racks to all the same.
I figured a target painter may help guns and heavy drones hit smaller stuff abit better. SBII will help locktimes but its not to bad without anyway. Trackign disruptor... see i figure that if it was an eos on my mega. my mega would web it and still be able to hit it fine with its void filled electrons anyway. although maybe its a defensive thing against vagabonds or snipers etc.
I was gonna use nos up untill the nerf which made me cry like a baby.

Just curious b/c all of these are interesting and useful setups, but it would be interesting as well to see how this should could be used to really impact a fleet.

navy AM doing 390dps from the guns at 18km opt + 13 but find my self using iridium most of the time.
with faction rep, u can forgoe the +armor rigs saving speed, does 435m/s for me.

This, I'd like to know too...
fitting 3 links plus 2 command processors absolutely eats nearly all available CPU. The command processors are the big eaters. I have resigned myself to using one link active at a time, and no command processors. When you do that, you can still fit a tank on your eos, but it's still ugly.
I use eutectic rather than cap2's since they have half the cpu requirement. MAR II (2), since theyre cheap, along with 3 hardeners ( also II). When named are close to same price as tech2, I use the named, since they have better fitting. What I'd really like is a tech 2 shoehorn:) Join channel: "Eve University" or read here |

Why not use that setup on a ship that really will make the best out of it? Oh a Vulture springs to mind, or even the Nighthawk.
I can understand why people want to think outside the box, but here you've completely not used any of the ships bonuses so why use it at all?
You can fit all these on the vulture plus with its built in resistances it makes for a better tank and benefits from having a bonus to siege warfare links.
Just an observation, but its your ship so do as you please

When in gang and with my Armored Warfare Specialist skill to level 5, I get the following resists:
81.1 / 85.0 / 92.5 / 77.1
I have 65361 effective HP according to Eve Fitting Tool and I can withstand 939 DPS.
When fighting, with everything on except for the reppers and the mwd, I can run my cap forever.
When repping with one repper, I can hold out almost 2 minutes. When dual repping, it takes 1 minute. When microwarpdriving away AND repping, my cap runs dry in 45 seconds... I can rep 1404 HP every 9 seconds, which is nice too :)
Not to mention the gang bonuses all my gang members get 
This ship also chews out 358 DPS with 701 volley damage.
All in all, a very nice fleet command ship

Seems since the Eos nerf people seemed to have stopped using it, yet its still a decent ship. What I would use is,
High: 5x Heavy Neutron Blaster II 2x Small Energy Neuts
Medium: 1x 10mn MicroWarpdrive II 1x Warp Disruptor II 1x X5 or Fleeting web 1x Medium Electrochemical Cap Booster
Low: 2x Medium Armor Repairer II 1x Armor Explosive Hardener II 1x Damage Control II 1x EANM II 1x Mag Stab II
Rigs: 2x Auxiliary Nano Pump I
Drones: 2x Ogre II 2x Hammerhead II 1x Hobgoblin II
dps with my skills is almost 600, tank with my skills is almost 600 too. I'm sure a field command could do better, but its fun to fly different things Sig removed, lacks Eve-related content. And it was ten times too big :p If you would like further details please mail [email protected] - Cortes
