Why aren't there all the named 10mn in game now ? Why do I need to spend 150M ISK on a mwd just slightly better than t2 ? This is wrong and there is no viable excuse.

There's the Y-T8 Overcharged Hydrocarbon I Afterburners, and they don't cost 150 million isk.

OK dip****, let's read your post.
Originally by: Distun Why aren't there all the named 10mn in game now ?
There was only ever one named 10MN microwarpdrive. That module is called the Y-T8 Overcharged Hydrocarbon I MicroWarpDrive.
Originally by: Distun Why do I need to spend 150M ISK on a mwd just slightly better than t2 ?
It cost's 4.2 million in Dodixie, right now. And it isn't better than T2.
Originally by: Distun This is wrong and there is no viable excuse.
Aww, are you gonna sue CCP?

Let me guide you through this obviously very hard task. You need to right click and then choose the show info option on a 10mn microwarpdrive, then select the variations tab.Have a long look at what's there and tell me that there's just 'Y-T8 Overcharged Hydrocarbon I MicroWarpDrive'.Then maybe you should take the other guy's offer and join his corp.

Dig around a bit, you'll realise that theres a difference between named and faction items, faction is better than T2 and does cost a lot, but without the use of this word you sound like a bambling fool.

T1: 10MN Microwarpdrive I Y-T8 Overcharged Hydrocarbon I Microwarpdrive.
Everything else is T2, storyline, faction or deadspace.
Once again, the Y-T8 is the only named 10mN mwd in the game.

Faction/deadspace modules cost alot of isk because they are rare. It has always been this way.

Guys, relax. Seriously. Nobody's dumb here.
"Why aren't there all the named 10mn in game now?" is Distun's question. There are indeed more MWDs than the Y-T8, the t1, and the t2. However the Y-T8 is the only one classfied as "named." - the others are "faction," "deadspace," or "storyline"
In contrast there are two non-faction variants - "named" if you will - variations of the 1mn MWD. (the 100mn mwd also, like the 10mn, has only one named variation)
But aside from that slight variation, there is the same number of variations for 10mn microwarpdrives as there are for 1mn microwarpdrives, even including weird things like "storyline."
As for them actually being dropped? Well, that I can't say, but they're definitely ingame and under the "variations" tab.
So to answer your question: All of the 10mn mwd ARE ingame :) And consider the fact that an X-Type armor repairer is not 20 times more effective than t2, but still about 20x the cost :) so that might explain the price. __________________________________ <-- Behold, the eve-o forums |

And now, besides the argument about what is consired named and what isn't,what I was referring to I think was pretty obvious from my first post, where I mentioned that there was just one mwd slightly better than the t2 one in game and it costs a bunch. Also, the issue here is not that the rare loot is more expensive than t1 and t2, but the fact that the domination 10mn mwd is the only better than t2 mwd that is in game and because of that it is so much more expensive. If all the other or many of the other variations were in the game,as they should be,this would probably be the price of the higher end mwds. That's the actual issue.

So, Distun, you take the already established EVE naming scheme that has "T1, named T1, T2, deadspace, faction, officer" separations (where faction/officer are NOT "named T1" modules) and you claim out of the blue, that FOR YOU "named T1" also includes "faction" and "officer" and expect any sort of understanding ?
It's even freaking listed under "meta group" in the compare window. "Named T1" is just T1. T2, Deadspace, Faction and Officer have separate meta groups.
Now, I'm not sure if you noticed, but NONE of the T1 named ab/mwd are better as the T2 version, and the T2 version is never better (speed-boost-wise) as faction/deadspace.
So, what was your complaint again, anyway ? I fail to see how 10mn follows a different scheme from 1mn or 100mn. No, wait, I don't "fail to see", I see clearly that it's NOT different at all. _ MySkills | Module/Rig stacknerfing explained |

Edited by: Hoshi on 10/04/2007 13:32:26 Meta is CCPs own internal differentiation of mods. All mods have a meta value. For pure T1 (where no basic/civilan exist) the meta level is 0, and then it increases with each mod.
T1 meta means all mods listed under the T1 heading in the variations tab except the standard t1 mod. T2 meta are the same as T1 but for those under the T2 heading (only a handful of T2 mods have a meta version). ---------------------------------------- A Guide to Scan Probing in Revelations |

I am sorry, i just had to join everyone in awarding Distun the *snip* of the day award
Named items never included faction/deadspace/officer/storyline items, for one simple reason: named items are easily available as loot, while the others are rare. And it's because they are rare that they cost so much.
That is not needed on these forums - Kreul Intentions ([email protected])
