I really don't see what the fuss is to be honest. Yeah a queue would be add a little more convenience to my life but it#s not as if I find it impossible at the moment and there are some good reasons already given for not doing it. I work in an office where the firewall won't allow e to connect to EvE, so I just log in in the morning before work and make sure I have a skill going thatwill take all day. When I get home and play I train my short skills, when I go to bed I put on an ~8hr skill. It's not rocket science and if I really want that 4hr skill but it's going to finish halfway through my workday or while I'm asleep then frankly I'm not going to cry about wasting a few hours of training time.
Quote: Infact, the fact that we're expected to loose some training time, time that we've explicitly paid for, (as it is the only thing in game physically limited in rate of aquisition) and to let it go like nothing, is preposterous.
That's hilarious.. Oh wait you were being serious. Hmm having read the rest of your post you appear to be badly in need of a life and a perspective. Quick! Turn off your computer and run outside into the sunshine before it's too late. You pay CCP for the right to access their service nothing more and nothing less. You don't lose a single cent if you don't have a skill training at any given time. If you can log in to the service as often as you like and play the game when it's convenient for you then you're getting your subs worth.

Originally by: Hoist Pax I believe the reason queuing skills will never get implemented is the fact that you can let an account expire and your character will still learn the skill he was left to train. If you could queue up the skills, you could set up a queue on a trial account and come back 5 months later with everything learned but not having paid for the character until you started playing it almost 6 months after it was started. Even an account that was paid for could have months of training after the account expired.. and there seems to already be a large number of characters that are training but not actually being played just to be traded for ISK later on, and a training queue in any way, shape or form would encourage people to make more multi-million SP characters who see little to no actual game time just to other players later on..
Don't get me wrong, I'd like to see a skill queue set up as well, it'd save missing out on some hours of training time when I forget to set a long-time skill before going offline. I'm just saying there's good reason it won't get implemented, because it'll be abused heavily.
What? Can I actually put my account on hold an still train skills? I did not know that.

How about 2 skills to do this
One skill to increase the number of skills that can be queued And one skill to increase the level of the skill that can be queued.
These should be skills of high rank, to say the least.

Actually it could be done the queue as a little helper: limit it to 1 skill, and limit the time of it to i.e. 24hrs. Mean, you have a skill ending in 1,5hrs - then you launch a queue for the next one, everything works. But that cannot be set for a current skill ending in 2days, as queue lives for 24hrs (or any shorter number). That way it would not harm anything anyway, just would let the players to have more flexibility eve/life :)

Instead of skill queues or dual training, why not just have a skill continue to skill once it is finish? Say you train to level 2 while at work, it would continue to level 3, then 4 etc. Only problem is that you would get alot of orange glowing skills from being partially skilled up, but maybe disabled the feature described above would good if that bothers you.

well personal I'm all for duel skill training (it not hard to balance), I think it's the sort of thing once in game people will realise it should have been in since beta. Mainly it helps new plays but it will also be useful to all eve players.

correct me if im wrong... but im pretty sure since revelations (or a patch close to release of revelations) its not possible to train skills anymore when not subscribed. so queueing wouldnt be a problem at all.

I hope your banned, that listing is illegal( I am not even going to go to it ), and anyone who purchases it is a fool.

I could see skill queuing limited to one to three days worth of skill training.
It would make the game more newbie friendly without benefiting character farmers too much.
Fun things start happening with ships and equipment around level 4 of various skills, so even vets would appreciate making the short level 1-3 training more convienent.

Can anyone explain this? I dont understand it either. Why allow each account to have 3 alts, but only train 1 at at time? Why not at least 2? Why does is CCP so restrictive with skill training? Even WoW has dealt with the "downtime" issue. Something like for the amount of time you are offline, you will train at x2 speed for that same amount of time when you get back. Once the time is up, you train at the regular rate. Whats wrong with that?
