What we want: * Logo * Banner template * Signature template Guidelines: * Should incorporate an owl (not a cute one, either) * Should reflect our corporation's character (Gallente RP, PvP emphasis) * Any verbiage should use British spellings (ie "defence" versus "defense") * Motto ("Si vous voulez la paix, prTparez vous a la guerre" -or- "He who desires peace, prepares for war") is optional * Otherwise, surprise us; we'll try to offer feedback Resources: * Strix Forums * Wikipedia (Mythology and Strix Owls) Time Limit: Contest ends 6 May. For everyone's information, another option could be a design modelled on the eagles used in heraldry (German, Byzantine, et cetera). "Si vous voulez la paix, prTparez vous a la guerre."

Nova Z, The shape of the logo is great, but it might be a little too 'cute' for us. For everyone, Most of Strix's pilots are PvPers, so emphasise the predatory nature of owls and remember the mythological connexion. Also, several members of the corporation will be consulted regarding the winning logo, so some of my responses might be delayed as I gather their opinions and guidance. Although I don't really like the design I do like the actual concept of it. The sharp, rough lines just make it seem brutal, yet efficient - the way I like it. If the owl in Nova's submission was posed more dramatically, say, just when the owl is about to grab its prey, wings and talons outstretched, and more front on then I'd go with it.
