Ok,
I'm like doing a route via 0.4 sec, and of course the gate is camped, lucky for me i had like 5 warp stabs fitted, and they failed to scramble me. I'm then flooded with WTF's. Do ppl think they have the right just to sit there and kill everything that go through a gate, and get up set when stuff get by them.
Just to rub it in, I jumped back through and then through again... and they failed each time
just that they thought it was their right cause i jump to blow me and my 400m2 cargo up!

yes some people are so childish as to believe that you should line up for them and wait your turn to be destroyed without fighting back in any way
surely your old enough to know this already so i can only assume your question is rhetorical

yeah, some ppl seem not to get it... fing nubs.
fitting stabs on a pvp vessel is lame and, since the (long awaited) nerf, stupid.
fitting stabs on a hauling vessel, be it a stiletto or a transport is good (common) sense.
anyone whining about it is an idiot. good job you and props for going in a again

In which case it's not a pvp-vessel. Either you're fitted for pvp or you're fitted for travel with stabs, not both. Anyone that goes into a pvp situation intending on engaging someone and fits warp core stabs is an eejit.

Yeah let's clear this up for all the foaming at the mouth pirates out there:
Industrials aren't ingame just for you to stroke your Epeen against. We don't have much of a tank compared to combat ships (because you know...Industrials are so tiny-tiny there is no room for an extra low or mid...right CCP?) and we aint got no guns to fight so we are ALWAYS....wait for it...ALWAYS gonna run from a fight.
But really...an Industrial ship on your killboard? That's like stuffing and mounting a rabbit in your den. Juuuuust doesn't look as impressive as the grizzly bear or the 20 ft great white shark.

Godd for you rubbing it in
They were lazy, and you were prepared, the better player won.

If you were flying a combat ship, they have every right to "wtf" you. Its really quite pathetic to fly through low sec, all stabed to death... especially if you are in a BS and you "escape" (run) from a fight that would have been close.
Now granted, if you are really talking about a gate "camp" (more than three guys) they shouldn't really complain to much. I say this, because, while I have gate camped in the past, I consider blobing individual ships on gates to be just as pathetic as fitting 5 stabs to your BS.
Also, in the future, I'd avoid "rubbing" it in their face. You are very lucky someone didn't dock and fit an inty or two with ALL 2 point scrams. There is nothing quote as satisfyin as catching the ***hat who flys around a system all stabbed out to "rub it in the face" of pirates.

LMFAO @ all the "But" this, that and the other speculations
OP never stated what ship he was in, nor what his intentions were. Only that he took a route he liked, in a stbbed up ship.........
LOL
It doesn't matter if he was in a Navy Mega, or a friggin frigate. It doesn't matter if he was even planning on pvp-ing or not (did it even cross your minds that he could've has all his gear in cargo, and would have switched out at his destination?).
All that matters was that he was prepared to do what he wanted to do, and some lazy asses weren't.

It doesn't matter if the ship is industrial or not.
Its the purpose that it is being used for.e.g. If moving a battleship through a pocket of low-sec solo to get where it is to be used later then the sole purpose of that ship is to get there safely which means it should be fitted for the task including stabs if deemed appropriate. That's not lame, in fact, in most peoples opinion its common sense.
Yes fitting wcs and a pile of guns and other offensive/modules is a bit lame, which is why the nerf works by making it more difficult to do so and actually do anything worthwhile with your ship. -------------------------------- So.... |

It does actually, to me. I am operating on the premise that the original poster is asking for our opinion on the events that transpired. Certainly there is no objectively true necessary and sufficient conditions for when it is and is not acceptable to say "wtf" in a chat channel while playing an mmo.

That is very wordy, but suffice it to say, I agree with you. In fact, I have used stabs on more than one occasion to move a ship before I fit it. Having said that, when I avoid being caught because of this (and I'm an outlaw) I expect that the reaction is going to be, "wtf." I certainly wouldn't come to these forums, to complain about me avoiding pvp and someone "wtf"-ing me in local chat.
Additionally, I did say that if this was a true "gatecamp" that the pilots camping the gate, lose the right to really complain about stabbed ships.
What I will say about the OP though, is the whole "rubbing it in the face" thing was just a wee bit childish for my tastes, and he's lucky he didn't get his ass podded as a result.

Once someone had stabs and got away from me.
I didnt say anything, happens all the time since I started playing.
The escapee however, found the need to rant at me for minutes about how he was superior ect ect. Something about how I was a dumb pirate who cant even kill him. Sure I didnt get the kill... but saying that someone is a "better player" because they fit stabs and escape doesnt sound accurate to me.
Anyway, my point is: I dont care. Lots of people fit stabs and escape from combat situations every day. If the pirates you escaped from found WCS a strange thing, they are obviously very new pirates.

The OP did say it was a 0.4 system. Inty's tend not to do too well gate camping when the sentries will instapop you.

I was caught in my tempest once at a low sec gate, bunch of battlecrusiers, command ships, and a falcon. Pretty much considered myself dead, but I was willing to fight back. However the falcon made that impossible, so I slowboated back to the gate, no ab or microwaro drive or anything, and at 10% armor jumped thou, the jamming falcon made it impossble for me to aggro

How about flying through 0.0 in a covert ops, hauling some real expensive BPO's out to the POS when I get jumped by a couple of interceptors...Well ECM and tracking disrupters work just fine, they lost lock I scooted on out and cloaked. They were some of the best gammers I have yet to find in Eve.
NO smack talk, no WTF, just silence as they hunted for me.

A couple of days ago I 7-pointed an empty dominix through a Snowy gatecamp in low-sec. My comment in local was 'wthstabbs0rwhatlolz0r1010101111' and they didn't moan or grumble, just said that they'd had 7 points on me and that I was 'lucky'. I wasn't - I nearly died but played the odds that 7 would be enough (slow to warp BS ftl). If Miz had had the mothership on the gate, I would've been toast before I could jump.
Congrats OP, you got through a gatecamp
Congrats Snowy for being un-noobish about your camp, which the OP would have died in.
To the OP: Don't fly through a typical medium-large gatecamp, you think 5 stabs is gonna save you?
......we just don't care.
